As I saw the man draw near towards me and my allies I quickly stood firm in preparations to attack, but his demeanor did not seem threatening, at least for the time being. I took his words with a grain of salt and proceeded to ask my fellow travelers. "Do any of you know who that man was? What a strange event that had just transpired. But perhaps we will encounter stranger and more hostile. Let us be wary and make due haste."

Ryker looks to the group after the man in the robes dissapears.

Hmm... It seems someone is going to be watching our progress.

After Elysriel gives her warning of a possible impending fight Ryker will smirk.

Lets give that old man a show, this very well could be a start of something grand... So try not to die right off hehe.

Slowly the smirk fades from Ryker's face and is replaced with a stern expression. He then speaks softly to the group.

I do not want to see more unnecessary death, if at all possible, subdue without killing who or whatever is approaching. Any information we can gain is valuable, even if it turns out it doesn't pertain to our current task.

"I'm not accustomed to taking prisoners, Ryker. Should they prove too dangerous to contain.." She let those listening finish the thought for themselves as she prepared herself mentally for the chaos of combat.

She'll take the time now to cast Shield, and if she has time, she will follow up with Mage Armor.

Whether they live or die will be by their own choosing.

Casimir and Elysriel:
Oddly enough no, that man was not noticeable or picked up via your ability to sense vibrations, in fact you have yet to pick up signs of anything besides your party since the first fluctuation of unseen movements.

That said...

As a few moments go by you start picking up movement again, 60' then 50' out. You notice the wood line only gets darker making it harder to see. Whatever they are they are at the tree line surrounding the party but not able to be seen at the moment.

The night is inevitably coming, only a few hours before nightfall await you. The dark clouds only help those who hide in the night. Anticipation eats at each of you before finally movement comes about.

You have the ability to cast 1 of your shielding spells before combat would start Ana

Elysriel's arrow flies true, hitting her target through guise of its shadowy form. Letting out a roar in pain it glares at you.

Casimir lets a shot off as well, however where you're sure it would hit just as easily, it instead grazes over its left shoulder and buries itself into a tree behind it.

Upon wracking your brainy out seem to remember seeing this creature, though without its deceiving aura of shadows, in a book somewhere. These are Sasquatch. They generally aren't seen by most of the world, and thus passed off as a myth such as "big foot". You aren't sure why they're able to contort like shadows

Casimir, you see that Elysriel hit her target and realize you were only a little worked up and too anxious. You now take a breath and line up your shot at the wavering shadowy beast once more. The arrow flies and sticks into your target as it lets out a roar of rage and fury. The satisfaction is blissful.

Elysriel says over her shoulder in a surprisingly calm voice, "Stay calm Casimir, all is fine.... for now"

She would notch another arrow drawing the string back while noticing how hurt the first one was. "This one's almost dead, I'll weaken another..." and letting fly another arrow at different target, this time the one to the north of the first one.

Ryker dodges the incoming javalin with grace. He notices others strewn about his partners feet. He kicks one up with his left foot, and while its in mid air, does a spinning back kick, kicking the butt of the javalin and sends it streaking at a beast! #5

Ana, when you point at the creature it is as if it laughs at you... that is... until the arcane begins sparking from your hand. The missle pierces the oh so tender flesh along side Elysriel's arrow. For a moment the beast convulses, before inevitably falling to the ground. It's breathing becomes shallow, and you can hear liquid gurgling as it tries to continue breathing. As its face hits the ground the party notices the enveloping shadows subside from the beast.

Ryker skillfully sends the javelin soaring into the beast with flair, taking it in the shoulder as it groans with pain. Looking over to the javelin in it's shoulder and ripping it back out it throws it back at you.

Rykers eyes narrow, as the beast throws the javalin back at him. He stands unflinching as it lands between his feet. A look of anger overcomes his face as he grabs the javalin from the ground, making dirt and grass fly! He then twirls it once and with fury in his eyes throws it and yells, Stop fighting and flee! There is no victory for you lot this day, so live to see your next... or die...

Elysriel gasps for air as the attack brutally forces the air out of her lungs. Willing herself to continue she regains her stature stepping back 5ft and notching yet another arrow. "I'm going to end you"

Ryker will look in disgust as the beast throws the javalin and he stands unmoving as it lands at his feet. He grabs his wand and touches Casimir with the wand after he falls.

Edit: You were correct Casimir, I'd forgotten about the first javelin hitting you. My apologies, Ryker reminded me about it as I passed over it, you are currently at -5hp. In lieu of my error the second attack from this round that would hit you from going prone I instead will count as not hitting you.

Her own smile grows almost manic as she watched realization and fear etch themselves on her targets face before they were struck down. An almost girlish giggle as she stalks forward, a reddish aura flickering about her hands.

"Does anyone have any idea what these things are?"

I'm currently unable to view the map, but could the DM position Ana so she has a clear cone for her next spell so that it hits at least two if not three.

She stopped as she gained clear line of effect, and with a flash and a menacing laugh she loosed flame upon her enemies.

Casting Burning Hands. Also erecting her Twilight Barrier.

Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 DC 18

She muttered under breath in elven.

"Best listen to the good Prince, before something awful changes his mind."

The sound of crashing trees and occasional growls can be heard approaching closer and closer with each passing second. Anxiety, dread and adrenaline fill your veins at a constant climax.

Casimir falls to the ground, clearly beaten from his attacker, however, Ryker skillfully draws his wand in a moments notice. A soft glow eminates from the lines in the wand making its way like a track towards the tip. The glow is warming in sight only, and on making contact with Casimir his eyes jolt open, fully aware once again of his surroundings.

Casimir:
On falling unconcious you see your people crying, stressed from the drout and lack there of water. Your willpower urges you to fight on at any cost. Out of your pure willpower you force your bleeding to stop and in that same moment your eyes open to see Ryker.

Ana, in all her fury raising her hand and almost out of character from what you'd all seen of her prior to, stares down the enemy. At the sight of the spark in her palm to the overall flame as it grew in size you can tell she meant harm... as did the enemy.

Ana, you can hit 2 from where you are. The third is too far away atm. However you would also hit Casimir. You can move enough to only hit them but you would have to provoke both of them to do so. Ill leave the call up to you before calculating

It is the enemies turn however I will be waiting for Ana's reply before posting their attacks.

Ryker's face looks worriedly now as the crashing keeps getting louder. An exit strategy may be neccesary.

I stood up and thanked my friend Ryker "Thank you Prince Ryker, Thank you so much!"
I dropped my bow and took a few steps back away from the enemy.
5ft away south. also can there be a marker on the map placed on the yeti im studying?

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

Ana speeds past them, a maniacal smile held firm on her face as she taunted both beasts at one. In their blind fit of rage they both swung one after another. Ana skillfully dodge both incoming attacks now standing promptly behind them arm still raised. All the while the flames grew in size and power in her palm. Finally she released the flame as the intensity had reached it's peak.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

One of them sees the flaw in their attack and instantly begins dodging the flames, while the other takes it head on. Some of the hair is singed on one, but the beast who took full brunt of it has char marks where it had burnt into its skin.

The two turn to you now Ana, and one provokes as they move in ready for the attack. They didn't seem to like the fire you burnt them with. Especially the exceptionally burnt one.

The beast that has been fighting with Ryker looks to Ana, then back to Ryker. You can tell there is internal struggle where he'd failed so many times, but that he also is staring at the magical wand you hold Ryker... He begins to charge from what you can tell but then thinks better of it and moves cautiously up to you. Pulling out his club he rears it upward ready to swing down full force.

Attack:Ana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Attack:Ana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

The ground almost tremors as you still hear something big approaching. One more defining roar sounds before whatever it is goes silent.

Ana, go ahead with your attack of Opportunity before the party makes their rounds of attacks.

The beast swings at you to which you respond instantly. However in the heat of the moment where your long spear lands only seems to hit air. It's club collides with your barrier, but the force is such that it makes its way following through into your side. The face on the creature is furious, yet it would only stay that way for the brief moment it saw success in breaking your barrier. Elysriel makes a considerable shot to the beast in front of Ryker. It pierces deep into the recently made hole that Ryker carved into it. It almost doubles over as the immense pain shoot across its face once more. It looks from Ryker, to Casimir to the others in the clearing then smirks an evil and menacing grin towards Casimir.

Whoops DM informed me of my error, I thought those provokes were on me.Also I keep forgetting about my DR/5. my current HP is 13. I understand that kind of makes a mess of the situation, I am still willing to be prone although I shouldn't be considering that I would not be knocked unconscious to help prevent us from going backwards a few turns.

Any ability that specifically relies on hit dice are increased as if you gained 2 hit dice. You must stay within 30ft of me, these bonuses last until I stop it or 6 rounds per day have passed. Whichever comes first... Your welcome...

Casimir in desperation wrenches his blade from its sheath slashing at the beast only to miss in the heat of the moment.

Everyone becomes bolstered byt the immense power radiating from Ryker. You all feel stronger as the effects meld into you all. However, The beasts look at you all with such hate you can physically feel it as it sends shivers momentarily down your spines. The beast closest to Casimir and Ryker looks down at Casimir with a menacing smile, while still keeping a cautious eye to each of the others. Releasing a roar of all its fury it slams its club down upon you Casimir.

The other Beast looks to Ana, steps up to her doing the same.

You now all hear a tree up the road make a load crunchy-like cracking sound as it topples over. The thud from the impact it makes upon hitting the ground before a subtle silence that followed gives the air in this grove and eerie chill. Then you hear something shifting through the same area, but it is still too dark and far away from you to see what exactly it is. In a deep sounding voice you can hear a grunt, like the ones you would hear while lifting something extremely heavy.

Ana, though you barely are nicked by the beast's club it is enough to cause significant pain to your body. Thank the divines Ryker used his ability, lol When all is said and done you have the experience alike to that of the calm before the storm. The air around you seems ridiculously still for a brief moment before a rock of some heft comes at you out of the darkness.

Perception: DC 20:
You hear shallow breathing coming from the same area as the Unknown being. It lacks the same magnitude as the beasts you've fought thus far. You can assume this breathing is of a man

Elysriel, you now from the movements this being has made can sense it within the range of your ability. It is apporximately 30 feet out of the clearing which is 80 feet out at the moment.
