I'm afraid I have to withdraw. I (quite unexpectedly) was admitted into two other campaigns in addition to starting my own Kingmaker Campaign, so I don't think I'll have the time or energy for this one. Thanks so much for the opportunity, and best of luck to all!
Sorry to hear that you are withdrawing.
Best of luck in your campaigns! I really wanna play in a Kingmaker Campaign...

Let's call this a bump, and I imagine others could probably benefit from knowing this.
Are we allowed to use implanted Ioun stones? (I ask now because I just stumbled on them.)
There's quite a few checks around it, but for 20th level characters, and with the fact that there's no permanent penalty for failing (and you're free to try again), I'd imagine sooner or later we could get them working.
Just curious on whether we want a bunch of rocks floating around people's heads or implanted in their skin. You know, flavor and all that :P
Edit: Link. Towards the bottom of the page.

Aw, I thought implanting them sounded rather cool, to be honest :P
Who wouldn't want glowing rocks that give you magic powers embedded in your skin? They can be pretty baddass.
Edit: Unless they get beat out of you or something like that.

Just thought I'd drop in and let you guys know that my computer died on me last week. Little more than a glorified paper weight now. The Computer Doctor said something about bad hard drive sectors, massive loss of data, etc. At best, I will get a new hard drive and get a blank computer back.
I'm also hemoraging money in the hopes that the Computer Doctor will be able to recover some of that data.
I'm still in though. My character was backed up and I should have my computer back in time for the startup.
Can someone link me to the new character guidelines and what not? I heard about the traits. Was there anything else I should know about?

I just love that song...
But this leads to some interesting tactics for people to use in the arena and so everyone doesn't have all their Ioun Stones in their body.
Now if it was a campaign I wouldn't have a problem with it as it would be more controllable (in a sense).
Ha, I had just watched the video earlier yesterday because the song popped up on my iTunes and it always makes me think of that now.
And yeah, that's no prob on the ioun stones. That was just the first thing that came to my mind with implanted ones, and it's just such a cool video I thought it'd be worth linking for anyone who hadn't seen 'em :P
@ RD: Sorry to hear 'bout the computer :/ Good luck getting some of the data back.

I am thinking Spell Level Squared x 4000 x 2. For the ability to cast it as a Sorcerer/Oracle of your HD. Your "Materia" Slots are equal to a Sorcerer/Oracle's Spells Known of your level. And you require the CHA for it.
And they will probably not be seen in a Full-Caster Game.
Or I might make them an extention of somethig like the Page of Spell Knowledge. The restrictions are the same for a Spontaneous Caster. but a Non-Spontaneous Caster/Non-Caster they are usable a Number of time per day as your 1+your CHA Mod(minimum 1).
You might see a thread in the Conversion Forum before to long once I get a chance to Playtest this. Maybe even tomorrow or the next day if we can playtest them in the Marathon Campaign coming up tomorrow.

Just had the same thing happening to me although it was the mainboard with mine.

Azaelas are Spellcasting services allowed? They are in UE and the formula is Spell LevelxCaster Levelx10. If so can we go over the usual 3000gp limit? It says in UE that casting services over 3000gp are not usually available. But since we are all 20th level I would think that restriction is moot.
Reason is I want some spells that I want to have permanencied and my chosen character is not a caster.
Also what is your ruling on master crafter, if I take Profession(artisan) as my chosen skill can I craft all Items with Craft Wondrous and Craft Arms? What are the restrictions?
Master Of The Games |
Motherboard and HDD problems... Yikes...
EDIT: Yes they are available. And have no limit other than your gold. Think of it as the Gods providing faceless Spellcasters to provide the spells.
Master Craftsman simply requires a Believable skill. Artisan is very believable.
EDIT2: For Spellcasting Services you have to pay for the Focus requirements each time if the Focus requires a GP cost. (1/10 the GP value of the Focus.)

Lol. I would never let that fly in my games. That's like saying "I'm an adventurer" and expecting to get all the class abilities of all the classes.
The reason they call the artisan's tools just that, is because artisan is a general term that can cover all professions.
That being said, I respect the GM's position in this instance. He is probably just trying to make Master Craftsman a little bit more worthwhile (something it kinda needs, as it is normally either very limited, or a big time skill sink).

No Master Craftsman (Profession (shepherd)) for me this time, then. I'm going to be doing the same thing as Sleet Storm, probably. Although I might go for gambler instead - I didn't actually make any of it, I just won it all at the gambling table ;)

I love this...

Hey MoTG, assuming you still have slots left I shall convert one of my 20th level characters in the next few hours, because this looks like a blast. Obviously he would not be very favored, but I still just want to be involved in these shenanigans. Lemme know if it's just too late to send in a stat block.
EDIT: It's possible that you've already answered this (I couldn't find it), but how are surprise rounds and perceiving other players handled? I'm assuming opposed perception/stealth rolls,or maybe just opposed perception in more open areas, with characters able to ambush one another hunger games style?
