For Combat Actions:

Masked Participant you are up

Jezebel, deciding that discretion is the better part of valor, flees as fast as her beautiful behind can. Saying a few quick phrases she blinks out of sight.

DM EYES ONLY:
Dimension door 1200' diagonally up and down one of the paths.

Unknown Unknown Unknown

At the declaration of the start of the games, the Masked Participant bows respectfully to the Master before moving behind the statue of the dragon and the halfling female, breaking line of sight. The mysterious figure does not reappear.

Now Who can't be caught surprised?

& If you guys want to delay you can.

Male

GM's Eyes:
Rumples is able to act in a surprise round, whether or not he was surprised. I guess I'll count my initiative from the discussion thread (31, sadface). With his surprise round action he will quickdraw his Rod of Absorption and Wand of Dimension Door, then he'll DDoor away 560 ft. in a direction he has not seen anyone go. His perception check was 59, (man, bad rolls) so if anyone (including invisible people beyond range of his goggles, they only get a +20 on stealth checks when moving) is there whose stealth check he beats, he sees em. (This includes people such as the Masked Participant, who rumple may well be able to hear, keeping in mind that perception checks above 45 are absolutely godly. I should also mention that if he is attacked before moving, he will retain his dexterity bonus to AC. Here's a second initiative roll: Initiative: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (10) + 25 = 35

Since I am waiting on Rumples to answer...

You watch Jezebel vanish then here her scream as the Magma shoot up and consumes her.

I warned her Telepathically to becareful of leaving the stone corridors over the lava...

The smaller entries on the Campaign Info Tab represent the Fallen. On to opening the Akademae Thread. I will post it up tomorrow once I finish the initial recruitment post.

One has fallen... So sad. Ironically, because he was taken out by the arena itself her gear goes to... Well me I guess... I didn't think anyone would get taken out that way on accident...

I will hide her gear somewhere here in the arena.

@Rumples: I need a Coordinate of the Map. (Zoom in on the Map)

Male

*cough*, If I didn't mention this, assume that Rumple obeys the given instructions in regard to his movement.

GM's Eyes:
I assume that teleporting to an area within sight, without crossing any terrain one could not simply run over, is alright?

Yowza, that's harsh :o

Rumples wrote:

** spoiler omitted **

Yowza, that's harsh :o

You are safe.

I just need the coordinates.

Male

GM's Eyes:
Alrighty, well rumples is heading due south, so 50.50 to start with, I suppose. He will use his wand 5 times for a total of 2800 ft., and from that point on will begin running. If there is any way for him to gain concealment or cover the area he left, he makes a stealth check (Stealth: 1d20 + 59 ⇒ (3) + 59 = 62, but then proceeds to move at full speed (160 ft. every round, or around 18.2 miles an hour, an impressive feat considering his leg length). He will head as far as he needs to in an effort to find a hiding/burrowing place.

Use the overland speed per hour for your Base Speed.

Varin You are up.

Male Vanara

Posting to get added to the campaign

All of a sudden from the Statue of the Dragon you hear the MotG yell out.

Time is up. LEAVE NOW OR REMAIN FOREVER!

Male Dwarf

Well, since I have no idea who is where, or what's going on, I'm going to assume I have been moving as per the randomly chosen direction in my PM. Assuming we had an hour, and I woke up after everyone was gone, I'll have been heading NE at (40'/round = 4 mph -> 8 mph for hustling) for half an hour, and I'm now in hex 54.47. If we haven't had a half hour of movement yet, then I'm still moving towards it, flying halfway between the ceiling and the floor.

If anyone else went that direction, please let me know so I can roll to spot you?

A rather confused dwarf at this point, Kazgar shrugs, rolls a die on the floor of his cauldron to determine a direction, and sets out towards the NE exit, hovering above the ground in his cauldron. "Crazy tricksters" he can be heard to mutter.

Ripple Make 2 Fort Saves.

Everyone who is in the Shrine witnesses RippleInTheTide turn to Stone.

I defer the effect with my ring of Delayed Doom

Male Dwarf

I thought she was invisible. Is there anything to see?

Not that I have any idea if I'm there or not.

The inner voice within your ear

I suppose she is still invisible if she delays the effect.

Actually, I've got spell turning up at 10 levels. If this stone effect targets me (isn't an area effect) and isn't a ranged touch attack it's reflected back at the caster.

You see the Master appear before you & snap his fingers. As he snaps you see everyone appear where they started at when the Arena began. Including Jezebel.

Ok so this arena has been... looks around with embarressment. Comprimised... So I am sending you back to prep while I build a New Arena and Lure my nemesis into a trap.

You will have until then to rework any equipment changes you need.

You will gain everything back.

Muttering to himself as he sends you back to Prep

Frakking Dead Queen... Slaying my children and making them into those Abhorrent Abominations.

Male Hafling

Adding

You all suddenly stand awake and equipped in the Arena's Temple.

Before you sitting on a Throne, that is part of the central statue, is a man holding an incredibly ornate staff. Upon seeing your bewildered faces he bursts out laughing hysterically.

"My the Trickster Dragon wasn't lying you really are a motley crew. Welcome to the New Arena... Not much has changed other than some basics. And my own little twist. In the arena you will encounter my Golem Pets." He holds up his left hand and you see 5 images of Quantium Golems. 1 Sapphire. 1 Ruby. 1 Emerald. 1 Opal. & 1 Diamond. "Whoever slays one of them may claim a competitor that they wish to be removed. That competitor will be targeted by the Golem you defeated. Be warned for should the Targeted Competitor defeat the Golem you will instead be removed." As he finishes his speech you witness the images jump to the ground and run away. For their size they move fast. The man laughs again at your reactions.

As of yet you don't know whether you can act or not. Also the man looks sort of like Ezren.

Male

If we don't know whether we can act or not, Rumples tries to.

I mean combat actions...

Jezebel looks around at the assembled group and says with a brilliant smile, Well, here we go again. Good luck to everyone.

MotG, can we do buffing actions? What about long term buffs, can we have those up? How close are we to the statue and each other? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get an idea of the groups layout.

You are just within 15 Feet of the statue. You can try to cast.

Male Vanara

Can we move?

You can if you wish. But remember each hex is now 5 feet. Also you might miss any declarations this new master makes. Now I am planning on making my own maps tomorrow to post up. I would do it tonight but I am over using my computer's R.A.M. as is.

Male Dwarf

Kazgar is not asleep in the bottom of his cauldron this time. He glances around at the others then eyes the ceiling.

How high up can we go in here?

Male Vanara

GM:

How should I post a stealth roll? Just spoiler my action with the title along the lines "DCxx Perception Check to View"?

Room is exactly as it was before only this time there is no ceiling.

@Garret: That is the easiest way... If you wish to use the Dice Rolling Thread or the Discussion you can spoiler them there. Or here in a seperate Spoiler.

EDIT: Stupid Aliases...

Male Hafling

Uuuhm... about the golems. If I take out a Golem and send it against another competitor and he beats it too...., What happens then?

In your mind you feel his words come back to you:

"Be warned for should the Targeted Competitor defeat the Golem you will instead be removed."

You see the Man fiddling with his staff. Then he looks down at you.

"If you wish to buff you have 12 Seconds to get out of here before you can completely attack your competitors freely."

He then returns to fiddling with his staff.

Male Human

Well, that's a bit of a wake-up call. Alright, so we're not actively killing each other yet, is it fine if I post his two rounds of action now, and they can just be placed into initiative order as appropriate?
.
Also, just for convenience:

Initiative Order:
Bozro
Rumples
Jezebel
Ripple
Varin
Masked
Garret
Kazgar

I'll go ahead and post Varin's next two actions now, but if we want to actually go one at a time, then this can be discounted and I'll fix it up in a following post.

Varin raises an eyebrow at the words, then makes a nearly imperceptible gesture before vanishing from sight. A beat of wings can be heard even for those who can't see him, as he takes to the air. Not gonna bother hiding the spell for anyone who wants to do a spellcraft check, it was invisibility, and done as a swift action.

For those who can see invisibility:
Varin hovers some distance in the air, then casts another spell. Spellcraft DC = Laughably easy at 24. If you're viewing him with any form of divination magic though, it is now no longer working on him.

For people who saw a second spell and made the Spellcraft check:
Second spell was Mind Blank. Anyone using divination magic to see him or anything about him can no longer do so.

That would be his first turn. Second turn.

GM:
With both of those up, he'll use his second move to go some distance away from the rest of the group, stealthing on the way.
.
Stealth: 1d20 + 47 ⇒ (18) + 47 = 65
I'm not really positive where to go though. See below,* it's kind of relevant to everyone.
After that, he'll toss up a quickened Resist Energy (Fire), and a Greater Heroism.

*Anyone who succeeds at a 65 or so (based on distance) Perception check can locate him. However, I'm not entirely positive where he ends up at, because I don't know where he started from, or where every one else is. So, I guess MotG can elaborate on how we are handling that?
.
He also cast a few more spells. If anyone can see him while invisible without using some form of Divination magic, let me know and I'll put up the relevant DC's but this is probably cluttered enough as is if that isn't necessary.
.
Whew! Okay, so that was a long post with a lot of spoilers. Anyway, that's basically how Varin spends the next 12 seconds then. Again, it can be placed in Initiative as appropriate (for example, he won't be invisible at all until his turn comes around, and so on). Just figured it'd be easiest to keep them all contained. If this is not an effective way to do it, I can fix that up.

Two Rounds are fine right now.

Jezebel looks around at the others and immediately disappears.

first round actions (can be seen if you can perceive Ethereal Creatures:
Turn Ethereal and move 15 feet straight up. While ethereal cannot be perceived by anyone not also ethereal or having some special ability to perceive ethereal creatures. Please let any who can perceive the ethereal plane know of my actions. While ethereal I can perceive the material plane out to 60'. Can only be affected by force effects or effects that specifically target the ethereal plane.

second round actions for those the can perceive the ethereal plane:
Pull out and use scroll of echolocation. Gain non-divination blindsight to 40'. Move an additional 10' up. Snap fingers and rod appears in hand.

Edited per GM

Jezebel you must post it. or else the action is null.

Yes, I am no longer gonna be nice for this...

WELCOME TO HELL!

Male Hafling

GM:
I don't do anything:)

The inner voice within your ear

As everyone glances around, the Masked Participant is nowhere to be seen.

Only his old robe remains, lying empty upon the floor, amidst the other contestants.

Surely he was there among you but a moment ago, but none saw him, not a moment ago, and not now.

You glance in his general direction, and you start to see the beginnings of a form out of the corner of your eye. However, by the time your brain can focus and discern, there are only the robes. He is already gone. You never saw the Masked Participant standing there, only ever his robes falling to the floor.

Other participants:
Think of when Darth Vader slew Obi-Wan, and his robe simply fell, empty.

GM:
MP is earthgliding into the floor, leaving a mundane cloak behind. I suppose I'll begin with mind blank and moment of prescience, as well as quickened heroism and quickened overland flight. After that, I will move on to my normal buffs (shown on my character sheet) if there is time.

I'll also be using my Go Unnoticed feat to make a Stealth check and "be gone" before anyone even notices I'm there. The only sign being my empty robe.

Stealth Check: 1d20 + 36 ⇒ (14) + 36 = 50

I will also be using my move actions to move into the nearby statue. From there I will observe the others using all possible senses whilst I buff up.

Alias... & that is legal so next?

Male Vanara

DC 76 Perception:

Thanks to a GM granted item I can stealth against extra sensory abilities such as blindsight, blindness, tremorsense, lifesense, ect. None of those will help you in locating me.

Round 1: Using Hellcat Stealth Garret slips into the shadows and spends his move action to go 30ft back from his starting position. He then spends a swift action to activate his Meridian Belt to equip his Ring of Ki Mastery and Spell Turning. As a standard action Garret activates his Ring of Spell Turning.

Round 2: Garret will use a swift action to draw his Wand of Dimension Door form his Spring Loaded Wrist Sheath as well as a move action to pull out his shotgun. Holding a shotgun in one hand and a wand in the other he will quietly observe the others unless a major threat appears, in which case he readies an action to use the Wand of Dimension Door.

Stealth: 1d20 + 62 ⇒ (14) + 62 = 76

Those who have acted:

Varin Akorr
Jezebel Quick
Bozro "Buzzsaw" Wilkins
Garret Light Step

Perception when needed 1d20 + 43 ⇒ (10) + 43 = 53

AotG Main Temple Map.

Still working on where everyone is in the Main Temple.

Male Dwarf

Kazgar "Harumpf"s to himself and quaffs a potion as his cauldron begins rising into the air.

I just realized I'm not sure if a flying cauldron would follow mount movement rules or regular flight rules. Per this thread I'm going to treat it as a mount unless MotG objects. Given that, the cauldron double-moves straight up at half speed for a total height of 40'/round.

GM, or anyone able to identify a potion as it takes effect on someone else:
Potion of Ward the Faithful, 18th caster level (+4 deflection to AC, +4 resistance to saves), affecting any Irori worshippers, but I don't intend on letting any get close enough to me for it to matter.

As his cauldron continues to rise (80' up), the dwarf pulls out a small container of cream and begins coating himself with it.

GM, or anyone able to identify a wondrous item as it takes effect:
Stone Salve, granting DR 10/adamantine up to 130 points of damage

Notably, Kazgar has shown no sign of either weapons or spellcasting capability yet.

General perception check to see all the invisible things going on: 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (2) + 39 = 41, +2 if you're flying.

I look around bleary eyed, yawn, and dissapear

Cannot be detected by any means:

I drink a potion of Anticipate Peril (My initiative is now 5 higher)
I cast a scroll of Foresight http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/f/foresight
I drink a potion of Bestow Grace
I Quick Draw my rod and dagger (My initiative is now 4 higher)

I would say a Mount is the best fit.

@RippleInTheTide:

How are you able to do all that in 2 turns?

GM:
I have the Accelerated Drinker trait that lets me drink potions as a move action. Standard1 Ninja Capstone Invisibility
Move1 Anticipate Peril Potion
Standard2 Foresight Scroll
Move2 Bestow Grace Potion

@RippleInTheTide:

The trait requires you to have it in hand at the beginning of your turn.
You start out equipped but not with anything in Hand.

So you would have to draw the Potions and the Scroll each. This means you have to use a minimum of 3 Potions. Plus the Initiative boosts don't help you as initiative started before your drank them. And AFAIK the spells don't grant you an increased initiative unless they are used BEFORE rolling Initiative.

NOTE: Remember that you don't start with anything in your hands. You may have a shield equipped but that is it.
