Lord Brycen looks up from packing his bag to raise an eyebrow at Rorse. He looks back to secure the fasteners. Indeed? The latest sending I received from Absalom was that we have an almost full boat, or rather, full boats, of colonists vetted and signed up. Once the other ships get here, we should be able to load up to our maximum capacities. Hand me my coat, would you please?
Lord Brycen shrugs himself into his silk coat. That being said, our roster is a little light on farmers. I had hoped to pick up more farmers in Cassomir, but we may still find some here in the largest city in the world. Having all the miners and lumberjacks in the world won't help us build a civilization if we cannot feed them. If you think you can rustle us up a few more farmers, you're certainly welcome to try. No more than four, however. Lord Brycen slips his bag over his shoulder and grabs his sheathed greatsword off some hooks on the wall. He draws the sword part way to check the blade, sheathes it, and straps it to his back. Any more than that and we risk tipping the food-to-people ratio into the starvation zone. He pauses and smirks at Rorse. Especially since I've learned that somebody has actually sneaked a wolf on board my ship! I must say, you possess the audacity of ten men, Sir Rorse.

Rommin won't be leaving the dock unless someone asks for him to go with them; in that case he'd serve as a wary escort. He's still nervous being in port and looks at the sea sickness as a small price to pay for not having to worry about the workings of the cities.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo having established to his satisfaction..if not peace of mind..exactly what is happening to him makes his way to an alchemists and barters away some acid and his two flasks of alchemists fire which are, after all, a liablity on a ship.
that should make him 25 gold
He spends the remaining time before returning to the ship buying some essentials.
First off he buys a map case and 10 sheets of good parchment, 3 vials of ink and 5 pens(6gp 5sp)next up is a winter blanket and a tent along with a bedroll(1gp 6sp)
He follows that with half a dozen sewing needles a dozen candles, a dozen pieces of chalk and a dozen fishhooks(1gp 4sp 4cp)
He gets half a dozen doses of the sea sickness herbs(6 sp)
Finally he buys an explorers outfit(10gp)
The remaining 9sp and 6cp go in the bottom off his pack.
In the end, Lord Brycen gives Rorse to find 4 halfling colonists, provided they can prove knowledge of farming. There are many halflings to find in Absalom's ghettos, though mostly domestics and porters, and some more unsavoury characters.
The 8th of Gozran dawns much clearer than the previous day. Those of you with cash are free to continue with your shopping, or even some sight-seeing. Through both days, colonists have begun arriving, mostly humans with a few halflings and other races. Other colonists arrive who are supposed to be on the other ships, which have not yet arrived. Some of them are content to wait on the pier, while others agree to return later that day. Most arrivals are hum-drum, but there are a couple which stand out.
Early on the 8th, some of you are up on deck for the relatively fresh air (as many of you as you like) when a well-appointed (and well-laden with trunks) black carriage with a horse and driver pull up to the bottom of the gang plank. The driver steps down to open the door for the passenger and what you at first think to be a young girl (quickly realizing that she is a halfling) steps out in an impossibly pink silk gown with matching slippers and a parasol. She thanks her driver for the help, tips him, and you here her tell him, Make sure my trunks make it to my cabin, good man, before she makes her way over to the table to sign in (Hickory Coopersmith she tells them) and then practically skips up the gangplank. She looks about, spies your group basking in the early-morning sun, and comes over. Good morning. I am to report to Falcon Gray. Would you be able to tell me where I might find him?
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo's face breaks ionto t braod smile as he sees the young lady..
"Falcon Gray Miss...I'm afraid I don't kinow the gentleman..I'm Lilo Deepburrow..perhaps I can help you locate him"
He's painfully aware of the poor state of his clothing
Why, I do thank you, Mr. Deepburrow, she says, flashing him a smile. She turns her smile to Rommin and Hobart. If you two fine young men wouldn't mind helping my driver with my trunks, I'd be much obliged. She pulls out her purse and presses a gold coin into each of their hands. For your trouble. She shoulders her parasol over her left shoulder, and extends her right elbow for Lilo to take.
A quick bit of asking around points you in the direction of the aft deck where the older man that hangs around with Lord Brycen can be found.
Mr. Gray? Hickory asks, and the man turns around.
Ah, Miss Coopersmith. Right on time. Falcon answers. I would love to chat and get acquainted, but Lord Brycen has commanded me to accompany him into the city this morning. Perhaps Mr. Deepburrow would be able to help you find a berth in the lower hold and we can talk more when I return.
Certainly, Mr. Gray. I look forward to it. She releases Lilo's arm to give Falcon an elaborate, floor-board deep curtsy, before rising and allowing Lilo to escort her down below. She whispers to him, frowning slightly. The lower hold? I do hope the cabins at least have a window for some light.
Hobart watches the little Halfling lady board the ship. He tentatively takes the coin shrugging at Rommin. Sure miss, I'll lend a hand.he goes down the gangplank and stacks her belongings leaving enough that Rommin doesn't feel useless. He hefts the load making his way back on-board following the Halflings to deposit the luggage where Lilo decides to place the little lady.
After which Hobart will take his shiny gold coin and spend it on a jug of ale several meat pies and a bag of hard rock candy. He takes these back to share with Wat and Chase.
Rommin Hawkridge(HP 11/12, AC 16/12/14, F+3/R+4/W+0(+2 vs. ench) Init +4, Perception +7, Arrows (M/S/CI): 19/10/10)
Rommin will help with the trunks, not being one to shirk hard work. The whole time he hopes against reason that the trunks are full of goods that will be of help to us at the other end of journey.
Lord Brycen and Falcon Gray emerge from below the aft deck and head for the gangplank, discussing various supplies that need purchasing and people that need meeting. You also hear Lord Brycen ask Gray what his plans were for the evening, to which he responds that he plans on getting to know his new attache. Brycen chuckles, commenting that he'll have two months to get to know her.
I myself feel like taking in a show and a fine dinner on our last day night before we leave civilization. He pauses next to Titus, Corvus and Eriniyes. What about you? he asks, taking in Corvus and Eriniyes and very clearly not Titus. Could I interest you fine ladies in accompanying me on a night on town? I know you packed for a long voyage, but I'd be more than happy to front you some gold for a gown or two.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo's face brightens as it becomes apparent that Miss Coopersmith will be messing with the others during the voyage.
"Don't worry M'Lady" he says cheerily.."You'll be quite snug down in the hold with us...my friends and I will see you come to no harm..but I'm afraid our only light is from lanterns"
He does wonder however why a lady of obviously gentle birth is being consigned to the depths of the ship like a common colonist
"My friend Sir Rorse and I will make it our special duty to make you at home...he is a knight of our people and a most valiant one I am sure and I myself have..well certain skills at my disposal which should ensure that you are not..bothered during the voyage"
Hickory Coopersmith takes one look at the lower hold and seems to agree with Lilo. This is where I shall be sleeping? Oh this will not do at all. Not at all! She turns around, motioning Hobart and Rommin to bring her heavy trunks back up the ladder. She practically scampers across the deck when she sees Brycen and Gray preparing to disembark.
Mr. Gray! Oh, Mr. Gray! She curtsies briefly to both men. Mr. Gray. I'm afraid that your lower hold simply will not do. Surely you must have an empty cabin, or one that could be purchased...
Falcon cuts her off. Miss Coopersmith, how is it that you could rise all the way to your position in the Society without learning that one's life station has little to no bearing on the assignments given? You are here as an attache to the Pathfinder delegation, nothing more. Now, if you will excuse me, Lord Brycen here and I have business to attend to on shore.
Hickory gives a slight yelp and curtsies to the floor in front of Lord Brycen. My Lord, please forgive me. I had no idea... Brycen waves her off.
Shall we, Falcon?" he asks and heads down the gang plank.
Hickory watches them walk down the ramp, her rosy cheeks ashen white. Oh, dear, this is very bad, she says to Lilo and the others. I have humiliated and disgraced myself in front of his Lordship! What am I to do?
I will miss the civilized world Eriniyes thinks to herself. Deciding against telling Lord Brycen that she has just returned from a wonderful mid-day meal and show, she accepts his offer. "It would be nice to take in a few of the finer things before sailing off to the frontier."
She determines that Lord Brycen seems to be enough of a gentleman to be trusted with no funny business. In any case, she decides that if he isn't and if it were to become an issue, it would be better to find out now than a week out to sea. Besides, any longings that Brycen has for her may come in useful in the future.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo's eyes burn with a strange golden light as he watches the pretty little Woman get humiliated in public. He draws her aside whispering softly to her.
"Don't be upset my Lady. The Big Folk have always been thus..they do not care who we are..they only see 'The Halfling'"
"Want someone murdered in their sleep..'The Halfling' will do it, want Dragons hoards scouted and looted 'The Halfling 'will do it.Want someone to kick around ..oh there's 'The Halfling' he'll do."
"Sir Rorse and I aim to change that..Arcadia awaits and with it a new opportunity for our people to .." he smiles at is own pun "..grow"
"Put aside the life you have left till now my Lady..the frontier is no place for fripperies and furbelows but if you want to be part of something awesome..something fantastic join us in our quest to give our people a home where they can be truely free and not just...'The Halfling'"
"Now do you have a plain dress this pretty one will soon be spoiled..if not we will have to go ashore and find you something. Don't worry my Lady we'll look after you and maybe you'll have some fun in the end"
He turns to his friends..
"Can't we do something to help preserve the ladies modesty..maybe curtain off a part off the hold in our area?"
Rommin Hawkridge(HP 11/12, AC 16/12/14, F+3/R+4/W+0(+2 vs. ench) Init +4, Perception +7, Arrows (M/S/CI): 19/10/10)
Ms. Coopersmith, we do have a long voyage ahead of us, and we would like to see everyone as comfortable as possible. Perhaps you have extra lengths of cloth in your trunks? If so, we would be willing to assist you in draping some up in a corner of this space to allow you a measure of privacy while we journey. Otherwise, we will leave you to settle as you see fit.
I...I was told a ship with a Lord. Lord's ships always have fabulous parties and banquets. I...I have no other dresses but more like this. I...I think I need to sit down. She reaches behind her and would have fallen to the deck itself if not for Lilo holding her by the arm. He is able to steer her onto a pile of rope, where she promptly pulls out a lace fan and begins cooling her face.
After a minute or two, she seems to regain her composure slightly. I must say, Mr. Deepburrow, I do not know what you could mean. I have never murdered anyone in their sleep or looted a Dragon's hoard, but if you say I must switch to plainer clothes... She pulls a lace hankie out of her sleeve and dabs at her forehead and her eyes. I declare, I am weeping like a fool cook caught with her hand in her own mince pies. Very well, Mr. Deepburrow, would you please fetch me a carriage while I collect the clothes I shall not need? I shall sell my fineries and purchase a few more acceptable outfits for myself. I have a small purse of 50 platinum coins; will that be sufficient for three or four outfits for this voyage?
She begins opening trunks, which are indeed filled with clothes fit for a ball, or at least, a royal court. Mixed in with the clothes are various books and tomes which she collects in one trunk, putting all the clothes in the other three. She looks at Rommin and Hobart. If you two gentlemen would be so kind as to help me a bit further, I'm certain I can recompense you for your time.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo smiles broadly at Hickory.."Think of it as an adventure my Lady..that's what Pathfinders do isn't it, have adventures?"
At the mention of her funds he almost chokes...
"Ahhh yes... that should be more than sufficient..may I suggest however that you place most off your funds in the safekeeping of the captain..the money from selling some off just a few off these fine dresses should be sufficient for a plain and functional wardrobe. No need to dispose off them all I am sure you will find some reason to wear something pretty once we arrive in Arcadia..or perhaps they can be used for trade goods"
Lilo will escort Hickory to the Captain and see that she places her Platinum in the ships strongbox and that she gets a receipt..he lets her chose three or four outfits to sell and then carries them ashore for her. He takes her first to the place where he bought his explorers outfit and gets directions to a shop where a female can get similar clothing..Once there he purchases for her two explorers outfits and half a dozen travellers outfits..plain functional and sturdy. The dresses are offered in trade as he is sure the Seamstress would know someone who would buy them for a tidy profit assuming these are courtiers outfits she has they should be sellable for 15gp each..Lilo will accept 10 and give the seamstress the wink..the two explorers and 6 travellers outfits should come to 26GP,leaving 14 assuming 4 dresses sold.
"Not much to look at I know M'Lady but...well...it's the person inside the clothes that counts, isn't it and I'm sure we can find a seamstress amongst the passengers who will help make them fit you better"
They then go to a ships chandlers and purchase a strong piece off canvas[10 square yards] with eyelets in it so a rope can be threaded though them forming a curtain. Finally he buys the rope[total 2gp]
"Now we'll hang this up in a corner and you'll be snug as a bug in your hammock.." he grins at the, by now, completely bewildered girl.
They return to the ship and pay off the porter he hired to carry the stuff[5sp] Hickory has 11 gp 5sp left and Lilo advises her to hide it in the bottom of her chest of books. He doesnt want to tell her but he thinks she will look much better in the plain clothing than in her fancy rigout
Don't you just love the egalitarian Andoran way of dealing with things..and yes I know Lilos post read like inventories but he is a merchant...what did you expect
Rommin Hawkridge(HP 11/12, AC 16/12/14, F+3/R+4/W+0(+2 vs. ench) Init +4, Perception +7, Arrows (M/S/CI): 19/10/10)
We will be glad to help, and we don't need coin for the effort. Perhaps if some of these books are for history or stories for entertainment, you might read from them to us in the quiet times to help pass the hours.
Well, she doesn't have quite that much left over after treating Lilo and any other menfolk who help her carry things to a fancy lunch, burning through the 11 gp easily.
As you all return to the ship, Eriniyes ( and Corvus?) are preparing to head out with Lord Brycen for their evening. Lilo's carriage passes a young couple making their way slowly to the ship. They arrive at the men with the ledgers as you help Hickory and her purchases down and overhear the woman present themselves as Maxalis and Thereva Dorsett, farmers of Andoran in a cheerful voice. As the man bends down to sign the books, you can easily see that Thereva is quite great with child.
Oh, hello, my dear, Hickory says to the woman. You look positively glowing. Are you and your husband off to the new world as well?
Thereva smiles back at the (now plainly-dressed young halfling). Why yes we are, she responds in the familiar accents of Andoran. My husband and I are quite eager to make a life for ourselves and our little bundle.
Hobart says there is no need for a porter he can carry the things for the young lady as he was planning on going and making his purchases with his reward for his assistance anyway(the afore mentioned ale, pies, and candy) . He doesn't want to see any trouble come to the Halflings, and while confident in Lilo will feel more comfortable if he accompanies the pair. Rorse has made him rather fond of the small folk, and he finds it interesting that these two seem much more civil then Rorse; even though Rorse's fighting spirit is much closer to his own. Hobart smiles at the couple which can to some be a little alarming Please Miss let me know if I can help in any way I am a servant of Pharasma, and learned in the healing arts. I have helped deliver more than one babe in my days at the temple. I am Hobart. May I say welcome aboard.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo grins again at the accents off home..
"Welcome welcome to our little band..it's good to see fine Andorani folk on this voyage..the New World will be a place of freedom for all off us"
Thereva smiles uncertainly at Hobart. Well, thank you, but I believe I would appreciate a woman's hand when my time comes. No...err...offense.
They prepare to make their way down below when all of you are distracted by loud voices coming from below the aft deck. One of the doors opens and a flustered Lord Brycen storms out, followed closely by Captain Theodric.
Well, we cannot delay any further! Brycen shouts turning on the sickly-looking captain. If they are not here by morning, then we leave without them and you'll find room!
My Lord, we simply cannot cram ourselves to such capacity for so long a voyage as this one. It will be the death of us all.
My father selected you for this trip because you swore on your life that you were good enough to get us all to Arcadia no matter the difficulties! Are two missing ships really beyond your skill to deal with?
Theodric's voice rises. Well, my Lord, when that makes up two-thirds of our fleet, then yes, I consider it a serious problem indeed. You're talking about leaving civilian men and women to sleep out on the open deck for months, and filling ourselves so heavily with supplies that the ocean will be up to our railings. The first heavy sea and we'll be sunk to the bottom!
That's your problem to solve, Captain. As it stands, we leave at first light whether those ships have arrived or not. When I get back from dinner, I expect to see all those supplies on board and a place found for all those people. Use your own damned cabin if you have to!
Captain Theodric quivers and shakes visibly with anger. You're insane!
Brycen rounds on the man. Watch it, Captain. Watch your words, very carefully. Sir Kheiron, see to it that this man does his job. Sir Kheiron looks uncertain, but nods. He's about to speak when Brycen cuts him off, looming over the captain. Prince Stavian may have said that I have to defer to you on matters related to sailing, but this is a decision on whether or not we start our colony at all, and that means for once, I don't have to listen your sniveling and your whining any longer. GET IT DONE!
Captain, my Lord, Sir Kheiron says. Perhaps this is a discussion best held in private?
Brycen and Theodric become aware of the entire ship of people watching their argument. Brycen turns away and storms towards the gang plank, forcing a smile to his face. Shall we go, ladies? he asks Eriniyes (and Corvus?).
He stops at the top of the ramp and turns back. Get it done, Theodric.
Yes, my Lord. Theodric replies through gritted teeth.
Brycen extends elbows out to the lady(ies) and heads down the ramp to a waiting carriage.
Theodric shouts out. You heard the man, let's start getting those crates and barrels on board.
Sailors hop to it at a run, loading supplies with lightning speed, while Theodric returns below to his cabin.

Rommin will follow the captain, with any of his friends that are available to go with him. Captain? We can help load, or we can help find the missing vessels, but either way we are here to help. What can we do?
Anybody willing to lend a hand is put to work moving supplies and finding places for colonists to bed down. You start putting people in the lower hold, then filling the upper hold with the soldiers, and finally the hardy leftovers are left to bed down as best they can on the main deck. The ship is literally crammed with people and while Theodric's assessment that the ship will be down to the railings may have been an exaggeration, it wasn't by much.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo makes himself busy finding space for people..the quiet little nook he had intended for Hickory soon gets overrun and he makes sure her hammock goes between his and Rorse'
Rorse went strait to the ghettos when hearing the interesting news that he would be able to gather four more to help, once in the ghetto he will stand on a crate with Vero and at the top of his luns shout to at the top of his lungs, "who is looking to start over? in a new and untouched land? Arcadia! I seek four with knowledge of argriculture, the begining will be rough but with time and effort the land shall be made civil. When established we will send back for familys and more of our people to build upon what we start! if Rorse can't find actual farmers he will bein looking for those with enough knowledge to fake being farmers.
Rorse gets a lot of negative replies, most of them concerned with being scalped by hordes of barbarian natives or being eaten by the demonic sea monsters everybody knows live in the waters of the Arcadian Ocean. Still others are interested, but not in the immediate departure time.
Rorse does, however, receive interest from a middle-aged couple with a teenage daughter. They are professional gardeners, not farmers, laid off after their employer was recently assassinated in some political intrigue. Jyke and Maris Tweedlebottom, and their daughter Fara, readily accompany Rorse and Vero back to the ship.
Of course, when you arrive back late that evening, you encounter the scenes of chaos and overcrowding, mentioned above.
Rommin Hawkridge(HP 11/12, AC 16/12/14, F+3/R+4/W+0(+2 vs. ench) Init +4, Perception +7, Arrows (M/S/CI): 19/10/10)
To Lilo: Young master, in all of this rush and chaos, there is a task that must be done that I believe you are well suited for. We will need a small portion set aside for an infirmary. We should also arrange for sleeping below in shifts, perhaps day and night shifts. We also need a plan for when we are attacked, for I fear that is inevitable. We must be able to get the non-combatants below decks quickly and without blocking the soldiers from coming up. Would you be willing to use your considerable charm to get permission from the captain and Kheiron to make and carry out such plans if they aren't already doing so? We can also set up extra work details since we have so much extra labor available to head off any sort of hygiene issues that may arise.
Given the new circumstances, Rommin will keep all of his gear with his at all times rather than leaving any of it below.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Lilo nods at Rommins Query..
"That makes sense...though finding the missing ships migh be a more useful task for us.I'll try and speak to the Captain later ..I doubt he'll be wanting to be bothered at this moment"
he looks around at the chaos and drops his voice to a whisper
"This is a disaster in the making Rommin, you and I both know it and the Captain knows too but Lord Brycen seems driven by..something"
"The ships going to handle like a box of bricks and we'll have sickness too like you say if we don't watch out..I will speak to the captain I promise
Can we not simply purchase two more ships to put these people on? Hickory asks.
Even one more ship could make a tremendous difference. However, there are other issues, including finding crews willing to make the sail west to Arcadia. Lord Brycen seems to have motivation that will not allow a delay to find what we would need.
While he's out with the ladies, Lord Brycen ceases to grumble about Theodric, and offers a genuinely good time. Your meal with wine easily tops 100gp and you enjoy a different show (also a comedy) from a private box. It seems like the good times could just keep on going, but the instant the show is finished, Brycen is adamant about returning to the ship.
Eriniyes grabs Lord Brycen's arm as he reaches her. Perhaps our leader has shown his true nature she thinks. She is taken aback by Brycen's disdain for the captain's suggestions. She is no sailor but knows that crossing the Arcadian Ocean is no small feat with a good captain and the proper conditions. She holds her tongue and tries to hide her true feelings about Brycen's orders.
The night is much more enjoyable once they reach the restaurant. No expense is spared as Lord Brycen entertains throughout the night. He is definitely in his element as a wonderful host to a lovely night out.
On the walk back to the ship at the end of the night, Eriniyes strikes up a conversation about how Lord Brycen got to the position of leading a voyage to Arcadia.
My control freak of a father, since he can't strong-arm me into one of those ridiculous beards and a simpering life at court hoping for Prince Stavian or some idiot with even more money to notice me, has come up with this ingenious method of ending my scandalous adventuring career in the River Kingdoms. It's probably costing him a fortune to fund a big chunk of this expedition, but he probably feels it worth it to no longer have a scum-adventurer son to explain away to his prick friends. Though really, a colonial governor is about the best a third son could ever expect to achieve through traditional courtly channels, so I guess I should be grateful. My older brother Jaiden is set to inherit more money than ten men could ever need, and my second-oldest was of course given over to the church of Abadar as a thanks for the huge pile of money my father has in the first place. I suppose I should be grateful that I wasn't the second oldest.
Really, this isn't that bad of a deal. I still get adventure, just not scandalous adventure, some prestige back home that I might be able to use someday when I'm fifty and get to go home, and I get away from my wretched nag of a wife my father stuck me with. He chuckles. That's a good deal for both of us. Now, she and Jaiden can screw around on his wife in peace, or with his wife if you believe those stories, and I have the ability and pleasure of enjoying a night out with you two beautiful ladies. He casually and coyly bops you both on the nose with his finger before retaking Eriniyes' arm.
Titus spends most of the first day on the ship before finally venturing out to sightsee. It's been a while since he's been outdoors, and he takes the time to enjoy it, finding a nice park bench on which to sit and enjoy the passing of the day. As time passes, he finds other sites to take in, not really offended by Lord Brycen's lack of invitation. As has become the trend, he keeps to himself.
Sorry for the lapse, I was in Houston for the weekend.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
Hickory's trunks now form a square underneath the three halflings hammocks..
Lilo looks around the packed hold memories of the trip here concern him.
"We'd best get some more buckets too otherwise when we hit open sea again it's going to be grim"
He goes back on deck to find the captain and meets Rorse and his new found companions. He bids the Tweedlebottoms welcome and introduces Hickory to the other halflings
"Quite a little community we are becoming" he remarks "We will have to stick together closely or we could be quite overwhelmed in the crowd"
He goes to find the captain with his list off requests.
Lilo is put off by the captain, who argues that he's too busy to be bothered, even though he's clearly doing very little. He thanks Lilo for his concern, but says that he can handle Lord Brycen and everything is fine.
When Lord Brycen and the ladies return to the Lady Iona, the sun has long been to bed and the stars and moon light the sky. All of the people who had been waiting on the shore seem to be on board, as do all the supplies. As you crest the ramp, sailors notice you and being scampering even faster, trying to avoid notice. Brycen snags one of them. Cast off, he whispers to the man. You heard me, he adds when the man hesitates. The sailor nods, knuckles a salute and does as he's told. Brycen recruits a few more sailors to haul up the gang plank once the ropes have been cast off. Brycen waves to Captain Theodric up on the aft deck, who waves back.
The sailors lower a small launch that hangs over the side and begin towing the ship away from its berth. Others work the sails and the ship lurches as they fill with the harbour's gentle breeze.
Next stop, New Taldor, across the Arcadian Ocean, Brycen whispers to Eriniyes and Corvus with a certain eagerness and excitement in his voice.

I would as well, but I worry bout the boy, and I doubt Lord B would let him up top.
Lilo Deepburrow(Male Halfling Sorcerer(draconic) [Gold Dragon] 3(favoured Class))
The lurch as the ship gets under way gets Lilo's attention..
Well..too late now to worry about anything more, lets get ourselves organised as best we can.
He swallows down a dose of the Herbs and passes one to Hickory.
Here M'Lady..this will help fortify your stomach against the motion of the ship..perhaps you can tell me exactly what one of such obviously gentle birth is doing here on this voyage..and about your connection with the Pathfinders"
Rorse upon seeing the Chaos of the Ship, asks the Tweedlebottom’s if they still want to come along, He would of course understand if they didn’t.
After getting on the ship Rorse shows the tweedlebottoms to the lower hold and the area they are staying in. Rorse makes it his own task to see that they are near by and easy to ensure that they are doing fine. He feels a bit responsible for dragging them into this mess, Before he left it wasn’t like this, and going from a trio of vessels to a low riding single ship changes the odds of how attractive they will look to pirates. He plots a bit as he goes but if they trained enough of those willing to learn how to work a ship, perhaps they could turn the tide on a pirate vessel and steal a ship from them. and so the mischievous mind of Rorse turns from one ambition to another, it would also make it much simpler, later on down the road, when they wanted to bring in more. Also if there were chelaxians about, then perhaps there would be Halflings to free as well. But for now there was the matter at hand..
Rorse didn’t bother grabbing any money off of guards only the gear he had, which was left in tact due to the fact more than likely that it was all fitted for a wolf and a Halfling, not much use to most.
Oh, why thank you, Mr. Deepburrow, and please, call me Hickory. She chews her herbs with a grimace (they really are quite vile, save for the raw ginger root which burns the insides of your mouths).
As for why I joined the Pathfinders, why they have the best libraries in the world. I have always loved libraries, and learning all manner of things. And what could be more exciting than learning things no person in this part of the world has ever learned before? I shall make discoveries that will leave me the envy of the academic world, both here in Absalom and back home in Oppara. And I am so lucky to be able to learn under Falcon Gray. Did you know that he's been to Arcadia before? I have a fascinating book he wrote about the Skraelings in one of my trunks.
Lilo swallows down the herbs with a similar grimace.Still they seem to have the desired effect
"Very well then Hickory it is and you must call me Lilo. I would be interested in perusing your bookstock during the journey, especially the book on the Skraelings"
He turns to Hobart..with some reluctance at having to take his eyes off the pretty halfling girl
"You have experience as a healer I believe..is there some way we could make an infusion to make these herbs more..palatable?"
Titus will try to deal with the onslaught of bile, but at some point will be sleeping on deck.
