E.V.A fires her crossbow at the horrors. The bolt goes wide, smashing through a ceiling tile. Agnew's bullet takes down one of the transgenic horrors, its bizzare goaty head exploding in a spray of greenish ichor. Sherman's barrage of bullets downs two more, their eight-legged forms falling to the ground and twitching. Roach fails to get a bead on the skittering spidergoat he targets, it jinks and his shot just misses.
Germain's rifle give a barley audible sound as a bullet goes shooting out, blowing a hole in a mass of thread near a spidergoat. The abomination scuttles back and fires a sticky wad of webbing at her
Coca and Germain manage to dodge the web balls flung their way. Roach, Chiro, E.V.A., and Sherman aren't so lucky. The sticky balls splatter with a wet *splock*, adhering to their bodies in a sticky mass.
Treat the effect as a Web spell, with a DC 12 Reflex Save. If successful, you are entangled but able to move, if failure you are immobilized to your square. A DC 20 STR or DC 25 Escape Artist check to break free.
"I hate spidergoats!" she snapps, "You just know that some idiot man all those years ago thought, 'hey I got a great idea, let's mix the DNA of a web spinning predator with a mammal that's known to eat almost anything. Ya, what could go wrong?'"
E.V.A. rewinds her crossbow, readying for the next round. Chiro's bullet finds its mark. Germain's (pistol) shot literally vaporizes one of the scuttling ruminant horrors. It's green ichor splatters all over the web. A weird bleating hiss rises from the nearby spidergoats.
If any other old sad git remembers where Bree Yark comes from i will be impressed.
Goblin warning cry from Keep on the Borderlands. Yes, I know its sad we know that. Yes, the gobbos used the very same call in my Silver Rose game (I don't think anyone caught it though)
Sherman gets a good shot off on the slow one that Coca winged and nails it though its bulbous center mass, splattering it. The rest of his bullets fly wide of the skiddering arachnoruminats. The webbing just gobs a bit of his midsection, causing nothing more than a sticky blotch on him Since you got a nat 20 on Reflex, count yourself as non-entangled.
Coca's luck runs out. E.V.A. dodges one, then is hit by another. Sherman is hit again, but Gemain mananges to remain free of the webbing. Chiro makes dodging look easy.
Those hit, same drill.
Six left and a new round! Kick the tires and light the fires! Roach you can attempt another breakout.

Also one of the fake rumours you could pick up in the keep, so very often the party would shout bree yark at the goblins, thinking it meant "we come in peace" but unfortunately they were challenging them to a fight. Glad I am not the only sad git here.
Sherman is not so fortunate this time and catches a direct hit off one of the spiders.
"Stupis goats. Run away while you can..." Roach keeps up the hail of bullets.
Shooting at the one in K21 to avoid hitting the back of Sherman's head. Attack roll 14+6=AC 20, damage 12. After this round, Roach is fatigued for the rest of the encounter (side effect from his ability surge).
The last arachnoruminant drops from its web, riddled by Sherman's barrage. The stickumed folks break free with a little help from their friends, none the worse for wear but for a few stubborn patches of sticky web that cling to them like well-chewed gum.
The room is quiet but for the twitching of a few of the spidergoat corpses.
Chiro will use his Skilled Searcher talent to look for any hidden or secret items. Also looking for any written material or images (that whole explorer thing).

"Did I mention that I hate spidergoats?" Germain asks, "there's a nasty infestation in the valley where I live, and only the youngest of us rangers get stuck with goat patrol."
The silly smile is gone from Germain's face. Her words are fully articulated. She now seems older. Without her childish demeanour she now seems a fully grown woman all of a sudden. Germain quickly checks her weapon to ensure no webbing mucked up it's parts.
In the back of the plasteel-fronted room, the spidergoats had their lair. A web-shrouded pile of bones and debris lines the area. Shuffling through the debris brings up a few items of interest:
3 gold coins
12 silver coins
A magazine of Ak-47 compatible bullets (30 in total)
a longsword
a rotted bag filled with various engine bits
A hand-held mini-computer(non-functional)
a diamond set gold ring of ancient make
There are a lot of skeletons, including many child-sized ones
E.V.A.(Appears as and is a functional Female Synthetic Smart Hero / 3; Technomage 2)
Eva looks at the engine bits, then to the group as she picks them up "May I?, without really waiting for an answer she sees if they have a home, such as an elevator motor, or something else, if not she sees if she can put them together.
