Also Kubular reminded IRL that transmuters get:
Quote:Physical Enhancement (Su)
You gain a +1 enhancement bonus to one physical ability score (Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution). This bonus increases by +1 for every five wizard levels you possess to a maximum of +5 at 20th level. You can change this bonus to a new ability score when you prepare spells. At 20th level, this bonus applies to two physical ability scores of your choice.
So I get 15 instead of 14 strength, and I can help carry stuff ^^
also ask michel to be a helper/mule :P
Okay.
Michel, would you be our mule?

@ Killer Pixie …
Sorry for being a bit tardy responding
Today, I reviewed Ognos.Since, he's a sorcerer, remember he starts play worth an outfit worth 10 gp or less.
Could you please list the cost of every item you have?
What drawback did you take?
The limited spells known from the crossblooded sorcerer also apply on cantrips, so Ognos knows 3 cantrips, not 4.
Also, what deity does he worship, just for curiosity?
Apart from this, Ognos is done!
I built Ognos using HL, so here's how I've got what I've got for him:
Clothes: Standard Traveller's outfit worth 1 GP
• Two potions of Cure Light Wounds, 100 gp (50 gp each)
• Backpack, 2 gp
• Bedroll, 1 sp
• Belt Pouch, 1 gp
• Flint and Steel, 1 gp
• Mess Kit, 2 sp
• Cooking Pot, 8 sp
• Soap, 1 cp
• Five torches, 5 cp (1 cp each)
• Five days' trail rations, 2 gp 5 sp (5 sp each)
• Traveller's Outfit (free, worth 1 gp)
• Waterskin, 1 gp
That should add up to 100 gp, 6 sp, and 6 cp
However, I bought the standard Sorcerer's Kit for 8 gp
and then sold 5 of the 10 torches to reduce weight
which means HL has me with 8.05 gp, not 9.34
Drawback: Pride
Spells: Human extra spells FCB at level 1 instead of +1 HP or +1 skill point for level 1
Half-Orcs and Half-Elves can access racial feats and FCBs of both parent races
The human FCB for sorcerers is way better than the Orc FCB of +1/2 HP/die fire damage spells in the case of Ognos
I only ever remember this because it's built into HL
Deity: Veles (proto-Slavic deity)
"… Ivanov and Toporov reconstructed the ancient myth involving the two major gods of the Proto-Slavic pantheon, Perun and Veles. The two of them stand in opposition in almost every way. Perun is a heavenly god of thunder and lightning, fiery and dry, who rules the living world from his citadel high above, located on the top of the highest branch of the World Tree. Veles is a chthonic god associated with waters, earthly and wet, lord of the underworld, who rules the realm of the dead from down in the roots of the World Tree. Perun is a giver of rain to farmers, god of war and weapons, invoked by fighters. Veles is a god of cattle, protector of shepherds, associated with magic and commerce …"
Needless to say, I didn't think about what deity Ognos worshipped at all.
But after an exhaustive search on Wikipedia (lasting 2 whole seconds), I found this article here
Veles is thematically ideal as a deity for Ognos.
From a small town, traditional worship, and all that.
I think that should cover it all.

Could you update the equipment with the prices in the alias?
Quoting APG: "This spell must be at least one level below the highest spell level the sorcerer can cast".

What spell are you choosing instead of Commune with Birds?
Averager for Hunters is 140 GP, not 150, but our calculations now match, taking this into account.
Fix this and you're done!

@ Killier Pixie:
Hi again!
Could you update the equipment with the prices in the alias?
Quoting APG: "This spell must be at least one level below the highest spell level the sorcerer can cast".
Okay, will do; my alias "crunch" is the HL output plunked in with cut and paste.
Shouldn't take me too long to edit that. The extra spell (cantrip) I picked is one level lower than the highest I can cast.
Normally with this archetype I'd have 3 cantrips and 1 first level spell.
Instead of 4 cantrips and 2 first level spells for a regular sorcerer.
So, I gave up one HP for 1 extra cantrip.
I'm also stuck with one first level spell until level 3.
Which is why I chose color spray, which is a totally awesome low level spell. :o
Addendum
My alias should be fixed now.
Ognos |
I think Color Spray is one of those unsung awesome low level spells.
Since I only get one first level spell for levels 1 and 2, I reckon that's the best choice.
And with my bloodlines' arcana, cold spells do +2 damage per die.
So the lowly Ray of Frost will be 1d3+2.
Hopefully that will suffice before level 3.
Less spells and the WILL penalty of -2 makes crossbloods a bit of a challenge.

Did you get the donkey after all? I think those can carry like 225 ibs and still move 30'/round....
Yep - Alfonso will be available to carry bags for a small fee ;)

The spell thing was my mistake sorry. That part is okay.
The equipment costs seem right, but 120-100-2-2-2-0.1-1-1-0.2-0.8-0.01-0.05-2.5-1=7.34, not 8.05, pretty sure.
Thanks!

You could have also taken the normal water bloodline and when you cast a spell that deals energy damage, you could have changed it to ice AND dealt extra damage. Sounds like a powerful choice, to me.
Colour Spray sounds like something you'll see after inhaling felwil.

No problem.
I made a quick adjustment on that.I think the stock kit costs aren't quite the same as buying each item individually. But it's definitely much faster when you're building a character in HL.

I agree with this decision. This way you could also make use of the Rime Spell feat more often. Cold Fireballs with +1 damage per die and entangle the targets.
Ognos |
The choice of bloodlines is a bit of a trade off.
I'd need the Elemental Spell feat to make blasty spells really hurt with cold damage.
But you're right. The Draconic/Elemental is more versatile in many ways than Draconic/Primal.
I'd forgotten about the Rime Spell feat to be honest.
@ Killer Pixie:
Do you think I should swap the Primal (water) bloodline for Elemental (water) instead?
It's a quick fix and won't affect anything, since we've not started yet.
Either one is fine by me.

Oh no, I was just mentioning it. I like the primal bloodline.

I think the elemental spell feat would be the best route :3
a +1 spell level metamagic feat that gives +2 dmg is almost as effective as maximize (+2.5 dmg on average for a spell that uses d6s) but much cheaper ^_^
and you can use rime spell for the stuff that is already cold :P
Or +2 spell levels xD

I'm going to be gone for the weekend. Working out of town with very limited internet time. I'll be active from 11:00 PM - 12:00 AM PST tonight but after that I'll be gone until Monday. Sorry for the awkwardness.

Michel will not be around, but it's safe to assume he'll be guiding you to the church.
Are you going to move us on or should one of us do that? :) It's usually a GM thing to decide when days end so I don't want to post and step on toes.
