Ghosts are intelligent undead, and one of the few undead types that aren't always evil.

They re-enact the last moments of their life in many cases, playing over the same scene again and again until someone helps them complete their unfinished business and pass on. Even if destroyed in combat, ghosts reform a matter of days or even hours later, and enact their scenes again.

Despite this seemingly mindless fixation on a single event, they are self-aware, and can communicate, though many ghosts are...surly at best. It would require a skilled diplomat to break through an unfriendly ghost's facade of mindlessness.

Bummer. I didn't think Darius had a good Diplo (though I thought you had at least +0), but you need a Diplomacy check to get him to notice and talk to you. I figured you could at least make the DC on a 20. As-is he's Unfriendly.

The host goes about his business, finishing the noose and tossing it over the rafters. The ghost is yanked up, twitches and gasps for a while, then stills.

A moment later it reanimates, and attacks!
