The first mongrelman reaches the top of the ladder...and is immediately struck down, gore splattering the mongrelmen below.

The second reaches the top, but the third has nowhere to go.

He can only watch in helplessness as Darius strikes his companion across the face, and the mongrelman staggers back, barely keeping his balane.

I'm not sure if I have a free move action this round or not. If I do then she'll also move the sphere down the ladder to hit the other mongrelman. If not hell have to double move down the ladder to try to avoid it and I'll just have it Chase him down and land on his head the following turn.

As much an abattoir as a bedchamber, this room contains not only a four-poster bed, but also numerous workbenches and alchemical gear. The walls are lined with shelves and strange-looking objects in jars of liquid. Bits of rags litter the floor, and the air is heavy with the stench of spoiled food mixed with acrid chemicals. A ladder leads to a trapdoor in the ceiling.

I imagine burning damage, like bleed damage, is take the highest.

Ezekiel (and Bulldozer if he enters the room):
Behind the door stands a short creature with wavy hair, holding an axe in one hand and a wand in the other.

A winded "OOF!" comes from behind the door as Ezekiel swings his hammer. Followed by a long screech of pain as both Darius' whip and Zin's ball of fire hit their mark.

The screech is cut short, and punctuated by a thud.

-A mammoth tusk scrimshaw from the Realm of the Mammoth Lords with several spells carved on its surface. The tusk weighs 20 pounds and functions as a magic scroll containing the spells bull’s strength, ice storm, and phantom steed.

I am aware. Jones always takes a really long time to do anything when he's not in immediate danger, because he wants to make sure he gets it exactly right and doesn't miss any minute detail.
