So this section of the adventure is really quite free form.
Let me know what each of you wish to do, do you want to assign roles, such as spymaster or information gatherer or beat walking muscle? Does anyone want to stay with Cimri at the Jail or be a runner to Razelago etc. etc.?
Once I know how the group wants to approach keeping the peace (or doing something else), I can assign skill checks or create encounters for each of you(or each of your groups).
Things will go quicker if you stay in one or two groups but if you each want to go off and do your own thing I'll not stop you.
This is likely an easier AP to run Table Top because of how free form it is but I think we'll be just fine via PbP but I'd prefer to have your input instead of just riding you all down a rail :-)
Cole would probably want to be around town trying to gather information and generally be sort of inconspicuous. Maybe try to talk to some people and be a little social, but not much.
Alic would also be fine with keeping tabs on thing, looking to gather information and keep eyes and ears open for more trouble on the way. However, he'd probably be fine with taking a slightly more backseat approach to that for now. For one thing, he can always get info from his congregation, which means he doesn't have to be walking around town; for another, it might be more effective if he isn't just wandering about after the last display. After all, if he maintains an image as executioner of the law, a fearsome figure who's only ever really seen at events like that, it might increase the fear factor.
castiel would spend his time singing in the inn watching Caggan. He might pick up some juicy bits of information from the customers' talk. And, it might do Caggan some good to know that he's always being watched.
Hey. Quick heads up. My sister is going away to college for the first time this weekend and the whole family is going with to help her move in. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and I should have internet, but my posting may be slower than usual until Sunday.
Is there anything else in particular we want to work on? I assume looking for traces of the Angel Knight to glean more information, right? We could potentially meet with the Archbaron to see if he knows anything of her. Alternatively, we work on cementing our control over the populace. Pelleas is likely a good choice to serve as muscle as he's clearly of noble birth, and it's unlikely anyone would challenge him (especially with the Archbaron's favor as well), and anyone who does would likely be ostracized to keep in our good graces.
I still maintain perhaps Kels should be recruited as an information gatherer, as I believe he's firmly afraid enough of us to not cause a problem.

Hey, Loup asked me to let you know that his laptop died, so he MAY be off the boards for a bit. He doesn't have the money to fix the laptop right now but hopefully he'll be able to find something else to use until he can get it fixed. He's hoping he won't be off for long, but he may be.
And I'm back! It was probably a false flag--my laptop crashed, and I was concerned due to the nature of it that the screen had broken. I've had bad luck with computers in the past, so I wanted people to be aware if it was a worst case scenario. For right now, I'm okay, but if I go dark you know why.

Hey guys, this is a blanket notice going out to all of my games here on the boards. While I am thankfully outside the path of Hurricane Harvey, current projections for Hurricane Irma are sending it barreling up the coast of Florida to sweep much of the eastern coast of the United States. As I live directly on the ocean, I'm already gearing up for a potential evacuation at the moment. While hopefully all I get is a lot of rainfall, it's likely that by the time Irma hits Maryland it will still be at least a Category 3 storm, if not worse. I will have my laptop and such in the case of an evacuation, but I likely won't be able to post with any real schedule or frequency. Moreover, given that I live more or less directly on the ocean, it's more likely than not that if I'm forced to evacuate there will not be a home for me to come back to after the storm passes. The island is not built to withstand that kind of storm, and the last time something anywhere near that deadly swept through, it made an inlet where there used to be a road. My point being, if I'm hit by the hurricane it's very likely I will be off the boards for a long while, or at least my posting will be sparse and intermittent.
I'm sure I'm not the only one following the storm on the news, but I'll do my best to keep everyone updated on my status. It's likely the storm, if it hits me at all, will make landfall here early next week. If you see on the news that the storm has hit Maryland and you don't hear from me, that's probably why. I just wanted to put this message up now as I'm prone to losing power during storms and I didn't want to leave anyone hanging.

For the moment, I'm still here. It's still very unclear what exactly the storm's path up the coast will be, and for the moment there isn't an evacuation order in place for my area. If the storm continues completely over land, it may not be so terrible when it hits us since it'll lose a lot of steam. If it sticks close to the coast and keeps gaining power from the warm water in the Atlantic though, that could be... rough. I was out stocking up on emergency supplies today just in case. If there's an evacuation order, I'll probably get it on Saturday or Sunday. If not, I'll be staying here to weather what we get hit with. They're pretty good about calling for evacuations, so if they don't it should be safe to stay.
At any rate, it is very likely that if the storm hits at all my power will be out for a bit. The island's power system is held together with chewing gum and some half-assed prayer, so I won't be surprised if it goes out. However, assuming that's the worst that happens I'll either put up a notification of such with my phone or get Loup or Kamen to let people know.

When Sandy hit NJ, I was actually up looking at a college in Vermont. While the storm obviously curved away and hit New Jersey like a freight train, while I was up there the storm was expected to hit us directly. We turned on CNN at the hotel to see the mayor of our little old beach town on national news, saying how people were preparing for the storm. Now, when we left the storm hadn't been expected to hit us, so we hadn't boarded anything up. We basically sped 20 MPH over the speed limit the entire way home, trying to get in touch with my older brother who had the flu who was home with the dogs. Even with just a glancing blow the city was shut down to non-residents (out of fear of looting). The entire southern half of the island was underwater for about a week, although the northern half just had some flooding.
I'm hoping it's just a bad storm as well. Until we get closer to Monday we won't really know for certain, but it's looking hopeful. The other danger is that if it tracks close enough it could also cause tornadoes. What kind of storm makes tornadoes?
Tornadoes are produced by supercells....basically , really big powerful rotating thunderstorms. Hurricanes can and do produce supercells....so, sometimes it's not just the hurricane winds you need to worry about.

Sandy hit my area the night I was supposed to pick up a pre-ordered video game; everything closed early and things were out of whack, so I ended up picking it up some two days later.
The game was Assassin's Creed III.
I don't pre-order games anymore.
I will be out of town for the next four to five days. I will try to post, but if I seem to be taking too long, by all means, DMPC my guy.

Just a heads up, but I have been without internet at home these last few days due to a screw-up courtesy of my internet provider. I was hoping it would have been fixed by now but that is not the case. I am not sure how long it will take, but at least a few more days seems like a safe enough bet. Thus, my posting will be... erratic.

A heads up for all my games; I'm going to be camping from Monday to Wednesday, so I won't be able to post. I should have Internet on my phone, but posting from my phone is a real chore (even ignoring the logout issue I still have on mobile) so I will be silent for a few days. No, it's me that has fallen behind.
Heavy duty RL s+&& on top of the mundane crap has caused endless delays on PbP for me.
I have an update for this thread scheduled for tomorrow on my status thread. Hopefully I can get to it. Lost a significant amount of time tonight catching up on games I am a PC in that i fell WAAAY behind in.
I probably spent more time on Paizo tonight than I did on the boards for the last 2-3 weeks combined.
My apologies once more, trying to get to updates but these days its been a challenge. We lost Corven for now though I think we'll stick with the group as is. Not sure about Eowithe either. I know that Alicarus has been buried RL.

We already have the authority to enforce the law as we see fit, so we don't need to have the archbaron informed before we get to work sussing out the dissidents. We don't have a reason to cut out Razelago quite yet, and we can get to work before we get word back, so we can just keep going.
As for what to actually do, I think we should be more careful in how we go hunting. No one is openly acting rebelliously yet and we don't want to tip our hand too early. We should try to subtly investigate priority targets like the priestess. Maybe the bard, but I don't think pressuring anyone is going to help yet.

I've been having some issues with joint pain, so my posting has been a little intermittent. Sometimes posting is a little too difficult for me to do, but I'm good. I'll get a post up now.
It’s pretty late at night as I am writing this. I’ve been through a significant amount of struggles through the past two years (actually through the past 41 but especially the past 2). I’ve had worse stretches of time before but I believe that these past struggles were due to my own lack of maturity and self-awareness at the time those events took place.
Likely those events were necessary for me to experience to survive the events of the past two years and get through them as well as I have. Physical ailments, getting older and requiring more sleep, bankruptcy, and ultimately divorce. You know life is not going swimmingly when going to work feels like a vacation.
Regardless, when I first started getting involved in PbP on the boards it was a chance to play, finally! I’d been DMing for the bulk of the time that I’ve played table top that I was enjoying being able to be a player for once. Then with so many damn flaky GM’s I just started running games and well, things snow balled from there.
Life was fairly stable at the time the normal ups and downs. Then about two years ago, I started getting into PbP as a way to escape reality. Sort of the same ways drugs were casual and enjoyable for me as a teen and ultimately led me as close to suicide as I ever want to get again.
I am not saying that PbP has made me suicidal but I am saying that I recognize that I was using PbP as a coping mechanism to avoid a bad marriage. PbP did NOT lead to the failure of my marriage but it did contribute to my ability to tune it out.
I make a decent living but between bankruptcy and divorce I’ve little to show for it (well except for this killer book and RPG collection ). I could point the finger at my soon to be ex-wife but when you point one finger at a person, three more point back at you. I could have prevented things from becoming this bad and I chose not to. I did it, ironically, because I believed that if I had the marriage would have ended and ended badly, so much for best intentions. I am not going to second guess myself, what happened happened. As divorces go, this one has been rather amicable as we have put our daughter first and ourselves second.
Being married to someone who makes as much if not more money then you (depending on sales that year) places one in a position to “take it easy” when it comes to being aggressive about making money (well it placed me in such a position anyhow perhaps because making money does not move me).
Early on in my career I had an opportunity to become a premiere M&A Financial Services Tax Attorney in a Big 4 Firm. It’s a big deal and potentially a lot of money but I did not really want it because I knew I would be working a lot and traveling a lot. My ex agreed that I should turn it down as she did not want to be married to a workaholic and that was not who I wanted to be anyway. Nor do I want to be that person now. (In yet another twist of irony, she has become a workaholic, funny how things turn out).
I do not regret the decision though I do lament the loss of income that such a decision would have brought to me.
All of this rambling nonsense is leading to the point of this post, I need to work more. Not at my current job nor do I want to get a new job, I actually like being there as odd as that sounds (to me). I need to get a second and perhaps a third job, side gigs. At 41 about to turn 42 with no retirement and no savings for my daughters college, I can no longer hope that the ex’s business will come through as an investment plan. Even if it does, I will not be the beneficiary of that largesse. I need to make up for 11 years of being “comfortable” simply working.
Thus, it is with heavy heart that I am announcing that I will need to close down a number of the threads I run and withdraw from a number of the games I am a PC in.
I suppose this decision will not be a surprise to many of you as my posting rates have been abysmal since these events took a turn for the worse (in some respects the better to be honest) since Thanksgiving of 2017.
I am not generally a person that feels remorse or guilt but I do feel a level of disappointment with having to make this decision. I apologize for disappointing many of you who put work into PCs relying on my consistency as a GM/DM over the course of the past several years.
My plan had always been to run a hardcore dose of RPG’s until my daughter was a teenager and then, spend my free time writing the novel I had been working on since before she was born. I had hoped that over the next 9 years or so I could wrap up most of these campaigns and the few that remained would be more manageable.
Life has not worked out that way.
The good news is that I will still run several games but the current load is too much for me to handle in this transition. The further good news is that I believe this will allow for those games to move along much more quickly.
By tomorrow I will have made my decision as to which games I will keep and which I will shut down.
Thank you all for taking the journeys with me despite the lack of length or resolution of so many of them.
I will still be around just in a diminished capacity so this is not goodbye just a “be seeing less of you”.
Unfortunately, this is one of the games that I will need to close.
