"Greetings. I hope we can work together well." Alexander bows his head slightly.
Thank you again for choosing me. Hopefully we can get a nice story from this.
Edit: And just let me update my little status bar to have the relevant stats.

"How wonderful to meet you all! I see the Prince of Pain has blessed me with new allies. I hope we have fine days of trial ahead!"
Great to see you all and let me say again, thank you to DM Vengeant for running this game. It's sure to be a strange and fun time.
DM Vengeant |
I will try to get this up and running tomorrow if I can, if not it will be July 6th as the 4th and 5th I will be unable to post at all.

It certainly is useful in a party that's mostly evil and therefore spontaneously casts inflicts spells. I'm less concerned about it since I get it as a class feature, so it would depend on how many people feel they can spare a feat to get it.

Or we can just invest in wands?
I can make that a wand. Also, if anyone can cast infernal healing? that's almost as good or better depending on how you think of it.

I'm based in Marikina City, a suburb of Metro Manila.
Telocan sounds like a call center. Not sure.
You should come to our country. Just don't go to Mindanao where KFR (Kidnap for Ransom) is a cottage industry.
Ok, see you guys laters. I'm gonna logoff now.
But before I go I would to invite your characters to join my religious study group "The Firstborn." For obvious reasons, most of the discussion centers on the interpretation of Asmodeus' "holy" text.
Alexander Malicdor |
I know I will endeavor to learn both the the normal and greater versions of Infernal Healing. They are go-Great! I mean great.
But I do think that we should work on seeing about getting various wands and such. And I know I will be working on getting many necromancy spells to help against our enemies. ^_^

I can't remember where they were from. I know some are from the southern islands, like, the ones almost touching Borneo, and a few others said they were from the northern islands.
Goign to Philippines is on my Bucket List, actually. I'm slowly working my way through Asia. I did Singapore and Malaysia last March, and am doing Japan with friends next summer (2017).
Next trip after that will be traveling down the Mekong with friends from Thailand to Vietnam, with stops along the way to see Angkor Wat and whatever else strikes my fancy.
Castiel Vasago |
I did Japan two years ago with a group from my college. Two weeks in Tokyo. It was pretty nice.
Cool, we're planning like a day or two in Tokyo and then bouncing around Nara. We're doing more of a pseudo-backpacking thing and just going wherever our whim takes us
DM Vengeant |
GM, I noticed that there is already a post on the IC thread. At this stage what's our motivation for going to this fort?
That i will post here once I have a chance to get things set up :-)

Like Argog suggested, I'm down for taking me romantic affinity, eventually. It'll have to be 3rd. At the moment, I don't have a prestige class I'm interested in, so I don't really need to worry too much about feats
Alicarus Vorasik, "The Ripper" |
Whoa, lots of discussion! I like it.
Robert, although I'm glad to see another student of divinity, alas I won't be fully joining your group, as I'm fully devoted to my own lord deity. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the matter, though, and to see if our faiths might not share some mutual beliefs and interests. Perhaps a new rise of partnership between the beauty and order of Zon Kuthon and Asmodeus is on the way!
As for Necromantic Affinity and negative healing, I'd fit it in when I can but Alic's planned build is a tad feat-intensive, so it might be a bit. That said I have a judgment for fast healing, wands will do the trick, and hopefully he won't be getting hit all that often.

I will say Happy July 4th to everyone here in America, and for everyone else, a Happy Monday to them.

Just yesterday you wandered into the Chelexian city of Longacre. Your look, it certainly was not your conversation, led a local a CIMRI STAELISH, to enlist you for a job. She does not tell you the nature of the job but 100 gold has you interested.
"A mile to the north, there is an old fort, Fort Estazano. Meet me there at dusk tomorrow and I will give you the details". With that she abruptly gets up and walks out.
DM Vengeant |
Still, this is a place for those who are looking to get away or get lost in Cheliax and not a place where even a long lived being such as yourself can really stand out.
An on again off again "relation" named Cimri, who is a two bit local criminal, sent you a note. Maybe she wants another roll in the sheets? Or not, last you heard she was with one of the few well to do Nobles a Robert DeLongacre, as if Nobility from this Asmodeus forsaken place is worth a damn in Egorian. Heh.
Afternoon is turning to night as you look at the note again.
"A mile to the north, there is an old fort, Fort Estazano. Meet me there at dusk tomorrow and I will give you the details".
DM Vengeant |
You have been here for a week getting oriented with this town. This morning you received a note under your door from a "Cimri" for a job. Perhaps she thinks you some sort of mercenary?
"A mile to the north, there is an old fort, Fort Estazano. Meet me there at dusk tonight and I will give you the details on a job that will be well worth your while. The job pays 100 gold if it is wealth that motivates you".
DM Vengeant |
A Razelgo, from of all places Longacre has sent you a letter. "Castiel Vasago, Your name has come recommended to me as a top notch scoundrel. I seek a man such as you to aid in my endeavors in Longacre. Recently I have acquired contracts to perform certain work and I need experienced men who are professionals. This city is full of able bodies but able minds are hard to come by. If you are interested, seek Cimri at the Last Stand Tavern. I do hope you will join me and arrive on time for my work begins quite soon. Regards, Razelgo"
Well, if you were planning on leaving now seems the time...
DM Vengeant |
FYI. Post your response in spoiler here in Discussion, I will let you know when to post in Gameplay. If you will head to the "destination" with no further comment, simply post "Ready to Go".

Assigned Task - Gather intelligence on factions "disloyal" to the Crown.
Cover Story - Mercenary for hire.
You arrived three days ago, gathering intelligence is a new, experience, but it is what you have been sent to do.
While acting casually a local approached you and offered you work. As a mercenary this work fits into your cover story. The 100 gold offered does not stir your blood strengthening your cover story does.
Cimri is the thugs name, an attractive human female. "You will meet me at Fort Estazano at Dusk tomorrow night, it's an old fort just north of the city. You don't day much, I like that about you". She stand and leaves you to await the next day.
Complete your profile, the one in the Recruitment thread is much more robust than the one in the Profile, include the RP stuff you PM'ed to me as well.
DM Vengeant |
When you arrive at your room in the Church you find a note stuffed under your door. It is from your on again off again "relation" named Cimri. A two bit local criminal but a smart, ambitious, and a sexy one. Maybe she wants another roll in the sheets? Or not, last you heard she was with ruffian named "the Ripper" or some such nonsense. You rip open the note, enough suspense, tie to see what she wants.
"A mile to the north, there is an old fort, Fort Estazano. Meet me there at dusk tomorrow and I will give you the details on a lucrative job".
Hmmm, perhaps she has found some traction after all this time...

Prologue Alexander Malicdor:"Right then, it's settled. You will meet me at Fort Estazano at Dusk tomorrow night, it's an old fort just north of the city. You will meet your erstwhile allies there. Remember, the job pays 100 gold". She stands up and looks down at you, "You're kind of cute, once this job is over maybe we'll get to know each other a bit better". She winks at you and saunters away.
He downs what alcohol in one gulp and places the glass gently back onto the bar. "Right. Best get to it. The dead don't intern themselves." He heads up to the room he has rented and prepares for the following night. Maybe I should do a couple more scrolls in preparation for this outing...? I know I have enough gold for it.
DM, could Alexander prepare himself with inscribing two scrolls for the upcoming job? If not, no problem. Alexander is ready to go.
Castiel Vasago |
** spoiler omitted **
He collected his things and headed off to the Last Stand Tavern.
Robert De Longacre |
Robert smiles to himself.
An old abandoned place for a rendezvouz, he thinks. Quite appropriate. But sort of job does she have in mind? And is she working with someone else? This Ripper fellow....
Robert resolves to scout the place in the morning, just so he does not encounter any surprises.
GM, you will notice that Robert is meticulous, organized and focused and completely paranoid. He who wants to have all the cards as well as those you have hidden up your sleeve.

Argog nodded, pulling the bloodred cloak closer to his body, the gold would allow him to pretend that something mattered other than the mission. The only things that mattered were getting the mission done, and recording the happenings.
Ready to go
