All is quiet for about four hours when a door in the wall slides open in Cirilis and Zirul’s room. A sudden hush falls over the area as you can even feel the deafening quiet. A tall blonde woman stands up after making it through the door as does the dark hooded figure behind her before five other humanoids follow them both. The dark hooded figure makes his way towards Cirilis while the others move for Zirul.

Zirul senses the presence of others entering the room and pops up from the bed with his Bastard Sword in hand. Zirul stands up and grabs his sword, which if I'm not mistaken should be his whole turn. He doesn't have his armor on so unfortunately his AC is only 10.

Noticing Zirul's movement, Cerilis stands up drawing his Elven curved blade in the same action. He then takes a swing at the hooded figure that has advanced on him.
What the hell is going on here. I guess we have drawn out that which is scaring away the townsfolk. Damn glad I kept my gear on

Assuming he hears, Augier stands up and shove shis roommate. Our allies are under attack!

I thought "popping up" with my sword was a full round action, but if we are waiting for my attack here it goes.
Zirul swings his Bastard Sword with two hands towards the nearest enemy.
Attack: Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
That's not so good, but just in case.
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
And the dice gods hate me. Sorry everyone, your Paladin is a little blind it seems.

Medved goes crazy, scratching the woodwork along the door and door frame.

Zirul and Cerili's new guest quickly get to work to complete their intended task as the hooded man holds a giant burlap sack, the first troglodyte makes an attempt to knockout Cerilis.

Knockout: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Missing with the swing of his club, the trog suffers tremendously from Cerilis's responding attack and falls to the ground. Zirul is now awake and ready for battle, though armed, he faces his opponents without armor.

Zirul and Cerilis must make Fort saves or be nauseated.

The deep yellow blood sprays throughout the room creating the worst stench any of it's occupants have ever smelled.

The next trog takes a vengeful swing at Cerilis.

Knockout: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18 Catching the rogue off guard a bit the club makes contact.
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Cerilis sees stars from the non-lethal blow and is dizzy for just a few seconds before gaining his balance back.

The blonde-haired sorceress maintains some type of trance as the next two trogs attempt to render Zirul unconscious.

knockout: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
knockout: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The club grazes Zirul causing him to reflexively raise his sword to block, now with a bruised skull.

The hooded man, stunned at the resistance, drops that over-sized sack and draws a club to help out.

The last trog steps up looking to finish the rogue and send him into a deep slumber.

knockout: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The awkward beast completely misses Zirul. Down a trog, the assaulting party is stunned by the difficulties sustained in trying to capture these elves. Perhaps they chose the wrong room.

With the incessant scratching by the bear cub, Augier thinks that he hears something in the hallway.

Jax opens his eye, still dizzy, before grabbing his weapons and standing up.

"I hope it isn't the spooky, mysterious disappearances we heard, friend." he comments to Augier.

Cerilis sees the creature that he just put down and smells the disgusting odor. He wonders what are these things.
Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
The smell is to much and Cerilis feels his stomach begging for release
Fort Save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
If that saved he will attack another creature, if not he will move closer to Zirul
Attack: Elven Curved Blade: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

INACTIVE - GAME DIED

Ravenna rolls over in bed.


Augier opens the door carefully to a quiet hallway. Zirul hurls what is left of the previous night's dinner all over the reptilian looking creature that tried to assault him. Cerilis is not completely certain what type of creatures that are accompanying the malcontent humans. Cerilis's blade flashes quickly once again, only this time for a smaller flesh wound into the smelly creature. Medved continues to scratch the door, trying to get out. Jax is awake, weapons in hand trying to get his bearings. The blonde sorceress remains in a trance chanting an incantation softly. The lizard creatures seem to refocus there efforts as the hooded man, concerned about the measure of unexpected resistance encountered makes his way into the trap door either to get reinforcements or to abandon the endeavor altogether.

Begin round 3


Zirul can take a move action and make a fort save for next round.

The blonde sorceress maintains her concentration on the incantation while the remaining trogs attempt to finish their business.


Pending Cerilis's turn.

The remaining three creatures attempt to render their guests unconcious.

trog 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12attacks Zirul
trog 3: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6attacks Cerilis
trog 4: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15attacks Cerilis

All damage is non-lethal thus far. Post round 3 actions and I will recap.

Augier hurries down to Zirul and Cerillis' room and will open it.


Siondel wakes up suddenly to find Medved scratching fervently on the door to get out of the room.

Augier can hear something behind the solid oak door, but it is locked. He cannot open it.

Jax rushes to the door, and as soon as he arrives the elf focuses all his weight and strength on kick to try and bash it open.

Cerilis shakes his head at these things. He tries to move towards the spell caster to disrupt her casting with a well placed attack.
who or what are these things?
Attack:Elven Curved Blade: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Damage: 1d10 ⇒ 1

if he can move to the spell caster without provoking an AoO then he will attack the spell caster if not then he will attack the wounded creature.

WE COULD REALLY USE SOME ASSISTANCE IN HERE!!! Like NOW!!!!

Grabbing his blade from its spot by the bed, Siondel moves to the door and opens it.

"Go! Medved, find the others and help them!"

Zirul bends over and continues to throw up, but with nothing left in his stomach it just comes out as dry heaves.


With the sound of heavy beating upon the door, the sorceress breaks concentration. The villains seemed confused as to why anyone would be in the hall way. Taking the lead, she heads down the secret passage in the room followed by the low cognitive humanoids.

The last one would give Cerilis an AoO on the way out.

Cerilis will open the door to the room to let the others in.
This is assuming that the creature is either dead or has gotten away with no other combatants to fight
I am opening the door, we will need some...assistance.
As he opens the door, he points towards the open wall panel and then at the slain creature on the floor. The sight of a rather large purple bruise is just starting to swell up on the side of Cerilis' head. There is no blood showing but he does not seem happy.
More of those creatures fled into there. A hooded figure and a female spell caster were with them as well.
He turns around as he explains that situation.
Where are the others?...We need to check on them now! I will stay here and help Zirul get armed and also to see what I can find out about these things.

Well let us get everyone and then we can follow. We can't let them get away.

Augier heads to the doors of those who are not present and knock/open.


Cerilis lays waste to the last trog to try and enter the secret passage. The deep yellow blood sprays against the wall as the long curved blade finds it's mark.

Cerilis make a fort save again.

I will have to post a map to avoid confusion. I need to know if the party regroup snd checks the inn, or if they head through the secret panel.

I think...That after my AoO on the fleeing Trog, I let the party into the room. Not all of the party members where there. Some of us went to check on them while I checked on Zirul/trogs. I think we are waiting on everyone to come together in our room before we move forward. so we have not entered the secret passage way as of yet.
