Male Halfling Paladin 4

Pat me on the head again, and you will piss me off. Stop it. I am not a child. Cole bristles for a moment, clearly irritated by such familiar and unwanted contact.

Follow me, I will lead the charge.

He takes off his pack, and mounts Gnasher, the sight of wolfhound with paladin fairly impressive. Sword unsheathed and glowing, he moves forward into the next room after swigging a potion of mage armour.

I missed the boat! (link)

Tribute, how would you prefer to handle my situation? 2, 3 rounds delayed entry?

Ramne points to Strang coming belatedly to shore. They turn the boat back to pick him up.

Ramne looks disappointed.
"We have some spells cast. I hope they don't run out now."

As the boat makes it to the far shore in the dimly lit caravan, a projectile stops short of the boats and lights up like a large ball of fire. The fire stops short of the globe around Ramne and dissipates.

As boat coasts into the shore, Ramne says: "It is the Queen. Her gaze can beguile the unwary. I will try to keep from falling under her sway."

Spellcraft DC 18:
The spell cast was a fireball.

The party begins to leave the boat as the horrible creature approaches. It is a large snake with a human face of an ugly female. Ramne informs you it is called a naga.

It will take a round to disembark from the boat.

Strang cringes in humiliation at having possibly wasted the group's spells before going into what was likely to be a terrible fight.

The snake lady is of a huge size and is guarding what appears to be a pile of bones and treasure, not unlike what a dragon hoard is supposed to be.

Piles of gleaming coins and sacks of treasure are gathered here.

"Worship me and you may live. Fight me an you die."

Ramne lets of a lightning fast volley of magic bolts that impact off what appears to be an invisible shield. You then notice.....

A magic aura of protection surrounds the evil creature.

Spellcraft 16:
The Queen is protected by a Shield spell. Magic missiles will not affect her.

Apologies for the absence of posting guys - been crazy busy...

Terion, may this potion keep you safe. Drink it before the fight begins. he passes a potion of mage armour to Terion.

I also have two potions to hand out, they give a small edge, allow a weapons blade to fall truer, better. Who wants them?

Terion nods at the offer - "Thank you friend, I'll put it to good use - any idea how long it lasts?"

Since it is Mage Armor, I am assuming at least an hour, so Terion drinks it while still on the boat.

"And I'll take one of those too, if its ok with you" - the man nods at the ones that "make a weapon's blade fall truer"

Not sure what those are? Bless Weapon? If so, Terion will use it once they are off the boat.

GM Tribute wrote:

Ramne casts as the boat begins to near the far shore. A globe of scintillating colors surrounds him in a ten foot sphere.

** spoiler omitted **

"Ramne, does this mean that when I charge her, you will be right there nex to me?" - Terion asks with a grin.

Cole, it is a +4 armour bonus, it does not stack if you already have armour on. But it will help against touch attacks I believe.

As Terion steps into the massive cave, he takes in the image of the massive creature that awaits them - "I could live with the fact that you sent your dogs to kill us more than once. Heck! I could even live with the fact that you have the body of a SNAKE! But lady... You are UGLY as a yesterday's lunch!" - the man roars as he moves in to attack.

Round 1

"What's that, Ama? I'm feeling mighty devout right about now...," Strang trails off.

Bless active

Reaching out, Ama touched Strang, a whispered prayer imparting her last spell that she had, granting him divine protection from evil. Well, on the scale of things, it was probably not as great as some magics she knew of, but it was what she had. "Now let's go make sure no one falls." Calling out to the others, she warned them, "That undead can drain some of your life at a touch!"

The far more adept of the two of them, she let Strang go first, keeping an eye on Ramne, letting him engage before she moved in. She would not have doubted that the snake woman had a backup plan. That undead creature in the back was something she was very concerned about, and not something that she wanted to reach their guide. She was adamant that Ramne survive this.

Naga lore:
Morbid-minded and wretched to look upon, spirit nagas are the witches of the naga race, hateful outcasts long shunned for their dark powers and loathsome ways. A typical spirit naga is slender, with the scales of a venomous serpent and a tangle of greasy hair framing their pale faces. Most measure 14 feet long but weigh less than 300 pounds.

Spirit nagas delight in places of death and desolation. Battle-scarred ruins, untended graveyards, despoiled forests, and tangled swamps all attract these repulsive creatures. Where guardian nagas favor places of innate sanctity, spirit nagas seek out places of fundamental corruption, sites they believe to be imbued with dark magics. The crypts of long-dead tyrants, the death places of great heroes, and the ruins of nefarious keeps all attract these wretched serpents.

Most spirit nagas believe themselves to be the inheritors of some mysterious dark favor, seeing their innate magical talents as evidence of such. Most commune with vague powers of death and devastation, working profane rites and seeking grotesque auguries from cultic forces. To aid them, spirit nagas often use their enchanting gaze, changing victims into fawning fanatics and would-be sacrifices.

Spirit nagas occasionally band together in small groups—some seeming to mimic the covens of hags. While a particular plot or foe might bring these deadly serpents together for a short time, spirit nagas are loyal only to themselves, and such alliances always end in deadly betrayal.

The hook
Four high school students gathered at home after school, but instead of playing the latest RPG, they opened 'the Package'. One of them received 'the Package' from the estate of their distant relative, a RPG luminary and father of the genre.

In 'the Package' was artwork that had never been published that was left to one of them as fans of the game. As the avid gamers perused the artwork with their character sheets in hand, they found themselves in the World of Greyhawk created by the master. Rather than being in their adolescent bodies, they found themselves with the bodies and abilities of their recently generated characters.

Posting requirements
Once per day on weekdays. Weekends are optional. Absence with notice for extended times.

Application Guidelines
This will be a Pathfinder adaption of AD&D material. Due to the retro nature of this campaign, only CORE RULEBOOK material will be used. No archetypes either. Why, because I think EGG would have wanted it that way. AND, the NPCs met will not be oracles, gunslingers or summoners; the PCs will reflect the world in which they adventure. You will not face a falcata, but you will not have a falcata :-)

Characters will be first level and 15 point builds using Core Materials with NO TRAITS and AVERAGE wealth. 'Dump stats' are allowed, but their effect will be noticed. Players will select an extra feat at character creation and can include Luck of Heroes (inspired by Neverwinter Nights). Luck of Heroes can only be selected upon creation and grants +1 to all ACs (ff and touch too) and saves. The intent is to select at least one fighter type, one cleric, one magic-user, and one rogue. A fifth slot may be added to select a second fighter or for a bard or monk. Golarion deities will be used instead of Greyhawk dieties.

Character background is the most important! Realize that your character background is what an adolescent picked. The character will find themselves in the World of Greyhawk when he thought he was going somewhere else. A Conan the Barbarian or Elric of Melnibone knockoff is fair game. It does not have to be tailored to Greyhawk, but it should give you a strong foundation to role play an in depth character.

The campaign long-term plan
Campaign will start out in the Village of Orlane for N1:Against the Cult of the Reptile God (levels 1-3)
If successful, will continue with Swordthrust from Mayfair Games, an excellent dungeon crawl (I may own one of the few copies) (levels 3-7)
Then Tracy Hickman's 3-part Desert of Desolation Series I3-5

Recruitment
Recruitment will be open 4-6 weeks. It will give me time to recover from my second round of carporal tunnel surgery.

Final note
My ongoing homebrew campaign is on the extremely high difficulty. The level of my deviousness is now restricted to what the published material allows. The high death toll of my current campaigns should not continue here.

Magic Item Crafting per PF Core Rules?

I love Gary! Was finally able to correspond with him several years ago, I was shocked. I actually played and wrote a couple of short articles for Lejendary Adventures. Very big impact, he had.

No geezer, but 43 here.

We can do a winter warriors thing... old dudes coming out of adventuring retirement.

Oh man, this sounds pretty frickin sweet.

I am an old geezer (40y/o) and began playing Basic D&D in 1980 when I was 8. I really miss the "old school" version of D&D (Basic, Expert and AD&D) as the newer RPG's tend to lead to way too much min/max power-gaming for my tastes.

I have played through Against the Cult of the Reptile God but it was like 25 years ago, so I seriously doubt I remember much of anything other than one key NPC and the final boss. I have never played the other two modules/series mentioned...never even heard of them, in fact.

4-6 week recruitment is a bit long though, you're gonna have over 100 characters to choose from. 95%+ rejection rate. Just an observation.

Awesome, count me in for a submission, will work on it this weekend. Will. Likely go for the rogue slot.

Campaign will start in four Weeks. Recruiting will last no longer than four Weeks. I will close recruiting by class when the pool is large enough.

Effort will be made to get at least two nonhumans (core race nonhumans).

Sorcerer vs wizard ok.

Oh the memories. Ha, another "older" gamer here, cut my teeth on 1ed adnd back in the early 80s. Loved good o1' N1 and hickman's adventures were always great.

I may submit a cleric, haven't made a pathfinder version yet.

This does sound interesting

will work of something today / tonight

Started playing April 2011 so I guess that makes me the young gun. Thinking of a ranger. Archer route most likely for the combat style feats.

Liberty's Edge

I was first introduced to D&D by 3rd edition, but have since dabbled in the older rulesets and tasted various RPG material, but have yet to get in the kind of experience I find my age group sharing. I want in on this. Definitely want a chance to go arcane on this. Might start with the archetypal elven wizard or half-elven sorcerer, though I have a main sorcerer that won't fit the "core only" rules here, so, Wizard it is! Will submit once I have something solid.

The character will find themselves in the World of Greyhawk when he thought he was going somewhere else. A Conan the Barbarian or Elric of Melnibone knockoff is fair game. It does not have to be tailored to Greyhawk, but it should give you a strong foundation to role play an in depth character."

I'm somewhat confused by this statement. Are you stating that in creating the character we should "pretend" that we are back in high school and create a character with the limited imagination/life experience that a person that young might have at their disposal? Meaning that a high school-er might limit himself to creating a parody (or carbon copy) of Gimli the Dwarf or Conan the Barbarian rather than creating a more subtle, fully realized character that an adult would gravitate towards?

Liberty's Edge

yeah I've been meaning to ask about that myself. when we get in game, are we meant to roleplay a teenager in our character's world? like "holy crap im a wizard? uhh, so who's the local deities around here, and um, where do I find spell components? I wave my hands and mumble something about missiles, hoping that I blast the guy." Is that what we should be looking forward to? or have we misinterpreted?

WINTER WARRIORS
I love Hassan's idea of being winter warriors coming out of retirement.
"Damn, we're getting too old for this sh..."
I've a got a character named Malack that I've run in many campaigns and many different game systems. He's fighter, an older mercenary that has drunken away most of his skills and has survived just about everything. A simple fighter with endurance and diehard.
I'd be keen on running whatever though.

I think that means he's not looking for realism, but the unfettered and ambitious creativity of a youth who just discovered they could play make believe in an RPG campaign setting.

The background should be detail rich and make sense in and of itself, but doesn't need to be historically accurate Greyhawk-wise.

I could be wrong.

First, I have seen darned good backgrounds from adolescents--I have one at home. I am just giving a great excuse for cheesier stereotypical heroes as a foundation. As background is so important though, if you come up with a Drizzt clone, better make sure he has depth. What I really meant to say is for this recruiting, borrowing great ideas from existing characters out there is fair game. And do not worry about tailoring it to Greyhawk, you will be characters finding themselves in a strange world.

Finally, no initial skill ranks in Knowledge Local to reflect this.

Liberty's Edge

ah, ok. so no holding back, just make sure we don't practically own the place already, heh. gotcha.

Oh hey Chainmail! Didn't realize that was you.

I'll be having a character up in a jiffy. Who knows, maybe I'll bring Brask Back :D

Ohmigod this looks like so much fun.

You know what? I'm making a Drizzt clone. As to how well I do this- that'll be up to the GM to decide. I'll have a character up once I find the PRD.

Grand Lodge

Elven wizard, ready to go. full character sheet on my profile page.

BACKGROUND

Spoiler:
As a budding youth, Elgoron was always fascinated by the artistic and intriguing pursuits of his people, much to the delight of his elders. No matter how many times he witnessed a technique of swordplay, heard a lecture on proper use of a bow, or was reminded of the sanctity and beauty of nature's gifts, he never seemed to lose the sense of awe shown by an uninitiated boy. He never seemed to tire of the basics of his lessons, and never objected at taking a few steps back and starting over when he made any kind of misstep. This unusually healthy respect for the fundamentals was only outshone by his immeasurable fascination with magic. Nothing held his rapt attention more than demonstrations of arcane workings and coaching on new spells. Even mastering the most basic of magical effects was elation and triumph to him, and he would spend countless hours poring over spellbooks and exploring applications and effects of his spells. Whenever he discovered the magical implications of chemical mixtures and observed the effects of enchanted items, he was nearly ecstatic. the possibilities and infinite combinations of effects and uses was mind-boggling to him.

Sadly, every adventurer's tale of youth has a downturn, and for Elgoron, it was ironically his thirst for knowledge and understanding that set him on his path. The one downside to having an insatiable fascination for magic is the sheer amount of resources needed to pursue your craft. The endless flasks of acid, the tindertwigs, the spell components, the test materials, the damage done by the occasional accident...all the increasing costs of his research and experimentation began to strain his small elven village. While self-sufficient, Elgoron's village was not prepared for the exorbitant upkeep needed by his continuing studies, so the community elected to send him out into the larger world to find his fortune, pursue his love of the arcane, and maybe learn a thing or two about moderation.

PERSONA:
Elgoron's a bit of a nerd, with an arcane flavor. he's mostly indifferent to mundane concerns and people, but those who share his interests or compliment his adventuring needs find welcome company.

ROLE:
This ain't your grandpa's battlemage. I plan on seeking time to craft some nice stuff, rings in particular, and make some useful supplies down the line. My spells aren't meant to win fights, but rather to change them. Buffs, environmental stuff, summons, and other game-changers are my intended stock and trade. Keep me out of the fray though; a wizard with no CON bonus kinda folds like paper. Plus this guy grew up in a village; didn't see much combat, so he's got lots of practical everyday spells, and very little flashbangboom stuff...for now.

Silver Crusade

Saying 'Challenge Accepted' and trying to make a worthy Drizzt expy, here is his character sheet. I know the rules for playing drow are in the Advanced Race Guide; awaiting word on what will and won't work.

For roleplaying purposes, I am a bit puzzled; as far as I can gather, is the idea to play kids who have found themselves in the bodies and places of their characters and are trying to play out that role?

Drizzt will have to be a core race.

I shall turn to other old series then. Or per'aps not. Will submit another character within the recruitment period.

Liberty's Edge

question comes to mind: is it acceptable to submit more than one character, perhaps to apply for different roles? or are we trying to keep this down to one app per person?

I humbly submit Brask Alpsbane, cantankerous dwarf ranger with a penchant for colorful curses, a dislike for all things elven, and a hatred of goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears so strong that he gets a little insane fighting them.

GM:
I liked Brask, and I thought it wasn't fair to him to leave him cooped up in the hold's looney bin while recovering for a bout of low-charisma induced sanity.

Probably doesn't help that his charisma is actually lower this time. ^_^

I'll post his background and other stuff later tonight.

Background and other stuff. Nothing setting specific, besides one offhand reference to Desna, since I'm not as familiar with Greyhawk deities. Enjoy.

Brask's story:
"Wot was that aboot me mum?!"

The dwarf was not nearly as burly as his kin, but he more than made up for it by being the quickest to start a fight. Regulars at the Squatting Dragon knew better than to insult the ranger.

Unfortunately the elven wizard was part of an adventuring party that was just in town. At that moment you could tell the regulars from the new-in-towns. They reached for helms and caps, anythign to cover their heads before hiding under the table.

"I am sorry, but your mother must have begat you with an orc. There is no way that you--"

"ME MUM WAS A FINE DWARVEN LADY! RAARRRGH!"

"OH GODS WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

And so began the monthly brawl.

Truth be told, it's much more likely that Brask's mother bedded a dire wolverine to begat the ferocious dwarf. He grew up outside of normal dwarven society and as a result, never really got the hang of dwarven social graces, like what's considered an off limits target in a straight up bar fight.

High-pitched Male Elven voice, made higher by recent events: "He got me blueberries!"

Growing up a couple of elves called him an idiotic brute. Sure, he knew it was true, and his mother called him that all the time, but she as family, these were uppity elves. He left them with sprains, bruises and the one girl with a big, wet, slobbery kiss on the mouth. But as much as he dislikes elves, he hates goblins.

"Dwarvenses stop beating ready-man into pulp--"

"BARKEEP YER BOUNCER LET IN A GOBLIN!"

"Not goblin, hobgoblin. Am bounc--AIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

A couple of goblins managed to catch him when he was very young. They made the mistake of giving him a hammer and having him fight their champion. A shot to the jublies and a another couple to the head and the goblin was down. Those that ran were hunted down. Those that begged for mercy, found none. Those that fought, were emasculated before being pounded into submission.

"S-sweet Desna! That doesn't bend like that."

"I GIVE! I GIHIHIHIHIHIVE!"

"Brask, stop trying to kill my bouncer."

"Eh, wasnae mooch o' a fight anyway."

"Brask."

"Aye?"

"Get out."

Appearance:
Brask looks like a bushy red beard with legs and arms. His hair is also red and wild. His gray eyes look out from underneath a heavy brow with bushy eyebrows.

In short he looks like an ill-tempered dwarf.

Personality:
Calling Brask an ill-tempered dwarf is like calling pissing off a female dire badger in heat a bad idea. It's true, but fails to capture the full picture of what you're describing. He hates goblins with a passion and attacks them without provocation, or considering the consequences. He dislikes elves. The main difference between hatred and dislike for Brask is if he doesn't like you, he'll leave you alone, or insult you if he's in the same room, but won't try and gnaw your face off without provocation.

Strangely, he likes the ladies and would never harm an elven woman beyond traumatizing her with a big wet kiss. The only exception is if it's him or her. He always picks himself.

Submitting Durahl of Highhaven for this campaign.

In the interest of full disclosure I should point out the following:

1) It has been quite some time since I played any non-computer based RPG's (approx. 12 years). I have played plenty of CRPG's: Baldur's Gate series, Temple of Elemental Evil and Neverwinter Night's to name a few in the interim, so I am not completely out of touch with D&D/Pathfinder.

2) I have never played Pathfinder. Having played Neverwinter Night's, I am pretty comfortable with the 3.5/Pathfinder rule set in general, however.

3) I have never played a Play-by-Post campaign. This is where I will probably need the most help, should I be picked to participate in the campaign, as I am not familiar with how die rolls are accomplished, how combat timing works, etc.

Well....now that I have effectively eliminated myself from contention, I will just say that I certainly hope I get the chance to pop my Pathfinder/PbP "cherry" with this campaign.

Take it from someone who's applied for a few of these, You haven't come anywhere close to eliminating yourself. The community here is pretty good about getting new people involved.

That said, congrats on making the leap. Be warned that you can easily become addicted to this and have a multitude of character ideas that'll take years to go through.

Not that I would know about that.[/blatant lies]

So just for clarity's sake, are we making characters that are high school that find themselves in world of greyhawk? A kind of dual layer of roleplaying?
I'm super interested in this campaign as is a friend of mine. He grew up with Gary's work whereas I started d&d later in life but would love to see the golden age. We'd like to join as a team, maybe brothers like the twins in Dragonlance. We're still thinking about our characters though.

Liberty's Edge

Ooh ooh, lets get a wizard duo going somewhere! DOUBLE THE FREE SPELL LISTS WOOT! who needs to research new spells when you can just trade spellbooks? DO IT. you know you want to.

Just a passer-by comment but "Mad props to you dude, for keeping the flame alive!"

Hope you all have a ball :)

Not a single rogue application yet? I'll throw my hat in the ring for that role.

Finally! An opportunity to play that one classic idea that couldn't really find expression until now! Also, Brask, your background had me laughing in my chair, love it!

The guy gamer that decided to make a female character because:

"You know guys, there's always one chick in an adventuring party, and she's always either a badass, or cute but helpful." Despite the groans and laughter and good natured teasing, he made character and sat back with a grin. "You either get The Woobie or The Amazon, and being a Paladin would complicate things way too much for my comfort, So you get the Woobie.. Mostly."

Ama Freewater

Story:
Adopted by the church of Shelyn from the orphanage, she has been raised as a Cleric, and performs dutifully, but what is any young girl without a rebellious streak? Admittedly, some young girls take to minor disobeying like staying out later and such, and maybe flirting, but that tenacious streak ran deep for Ama. She would often visit the Fighters' Salle, and (much to the dismay of her superiors) was caught taking lessons on occasion, in using her bare fists, of all things!

As might be expected, whatever her justifications may have been, her regard would always be less in the eyes of most of the senior clergy... Of course, that did not mean that she stopped.

Appearance:
It has been speculated that at least part of her heritage is Garundi, and she is not inclined to disagree at least. Her skin has a slightly darker complexion, and she keeps her hair pinned back in braids when she has the time, though she is not hesitant about undoing it all and pulling the woolly, wavy lot back into a puff of a tail, mostly when she does not feel like redoing the braids yet. She dresses like a Shelynite, which is to say that she knew how to be beautiful, but her time spent around the Salle has let The Lucky Drunk steal a piece of her heart as well-- so a shirt and breeches is not so very unfamiliar for her either.

Personality:
There is a natural beauty that she has, some combination of her attitude and heritage that makes her smiles generous, and she is inclined towards helping however she can, almost the picture of beauty and composure-- until someone riles her up. Then all that composure goes out the window as she is just as likely to give the offender a tongue lashing learned from the men of the guard, and is hardly afraid of a thrown punch, knowing how to return them, often better than they were delivered. Still, she is the type to avoid things coming to blows, unashamed of employing her charm to defuse a situation.

Liberty's Edge

a lady with grace in her step AND steel in her fists? We have a word for that.

"Keeper."

Hmmmm...dotting for interest. I'll probably make an iconic halfling thief. (Ain't no rogues in Gary's day!)

Thank ye. This is actually Brask's second incarnation. The first went a little looney in GM Tribute's other game. (Roleplayed him into a corner) So I'm bringing him back to hopefully stomp around Greyhawk a bit. (Those poor elves.)

*Looks at alias list.*

Huh, the only one on here that could come close to the Woobie is NE...

I looked through the pregen characters and they come in at around 20 points. So........

Edit: 20 point buy (not 15)

I am sure this doesn't inconvenience anyone too much.

Oh not a problem at all.

Still going to Dump Charisma though. Too funny not to. :)

Presenting Lido Quickfingers. Equipment will be purchased on selection.

Backstory:

"Lido was born the fifth of eight children in the halfling ghettoes of Riddleport. He was the runt of the litter, and had to get by on guile and skill even more than most halflings. He fell into work as a break-in specialist for one of that city's crime bosses, after attempting to rob the stronghold of one of the other bosses. He'd taken a lover in one of Calistria's sacred brothels, but it was his misfortune that she was the sister of the crime boss he had attempted to rob. She handed him over during one of their meetings, and Lido was almost sent to the bottom of the river. He was able to escape, and is now on the road, seeking adventure far from Riddleport's streets."

Trent cleared his throat. "So, uh, what do you guys think?"

The group looked at each other, and then one of them said, "So, uh...where's your friend, Fafhrd?" The rest of the group snickered at this barb.

"Hey!", Trent shouted in defense. "I don't play rogues! I usually make fighters! It's not my fault football practice ran late, and someone else made the fighter!"

"No, look, it's fine," said the gamemaster. "I'm actually pleased you're trying to play something other than the beatstick."

"Yeah," Trent agreed. "It'll be weird playing something that tiny."

Metatext: Trent is the kicker for the local high school football team, and this is his first time playing something other than a human fighter. I like the idea of the athletic guy suddenly being forced to find ways around problems, rather than through them.

The Exchange

I'll throw my hat in the ring.

Rich kid with charmed life gets reality check and sets out on his own. Coerced into living by a strict moral code, he searches for the person he hopes can sort this think out - his absentee father.

Full character in profile.

AD&D takes me back to VERY fond memories - it is as quintessential as it gets, and for that reason I am submitting the quintessential character.

For your approval, Terion Stoutheart - Fighter level 1.

Crunch available in the profile.
Fluff will be available soon.

Grand Lodge

OBJECTION! or not. bump up the dex and int for more win, all trained skills improve.

Alrighty, updated and ready for even more EPIC.

Totally reminds me of Guardians of the Flame series by Joel Rosenberg. Awesome stuff. I'm gonna attempt to lurk on this one; this should be interesting.

Hey Javell! *waves* That's EXACTLY what I was thinking as well-- here's hoping none of us catch a spear in the first twenty pages. ^^;

how bout a flying quarterstaff? all the realistic force feedback without the unpleasant side effects; you know, puncture wounds, bleeding, death...

What? We're not rolling 3d6 in order? Blasphemy!

One Gnomish Illusionist coming soon...

Dude, you rolled 3d6 for AD&D? Now that is hardcore! Our group "wussed out" and rolled 4d6, dropping one and putting them in any order we wished. We left the "3d6 in order" stuff behind when we moved from Expert to AD&D.

RE: Gnome illusionists...I had a bizarre fixation with Gnome Illusionists back when I was playing AD&D 25 years ago. I have no idea what made them so attractive to me. The illusionist class sucked serious balz and, yet, I continued to roll them up.

Some great characters already and plenty of time to go.
20 point buy and no traits but a bonus feat. Pathfinder CORE only with Golarion dieties.

I have decided there will definitely be 5 chosen.
1 Melee Fighter
2 Cleric
3 Rogue
4 Wizard
5 Another fighter, bard or monk.

I will try to pick two or three non-humans.

A little spoiler about the fact that you are characters playing characters. You will be given a notional background of the high school character upon selection. You can use some motivations of the character playing your character to influence roleplay. Although this 'double roleplaying' is not required, it will earn more XPs.

Would you allow multiple submissions?
