Delaying until Belrain responds, 5ft step to J-3
Ama's eyes widened as Flaeg yelled out what he saw, since she could see nothing. Moving corpses.. The undead! Flaeg would not attack anything else-- well, she assumed he would not. "Belrain! How many more times can you channel?" It was quick thinking, but also a blanket effect. She had two more she could manage, and then she would be down to spells. With the two of them working in tandem once they had light, they had little to fear from the undead... Which really made her want to question Junip.

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

The light in the room illuminates the problem. At Ama's question, Belrain shakes his head. "Uh, I'm all out. And I only have one spell left." he replies.

"Cool, Zombies!" Bizzlemont exclaims. He points his fingers at the group, but then frowns. "Uh, I don't know that my spells will do much. I mean, they don't really see, do they?"

Map seems to be View Only for me

Map fixed, google docs/google drive is better understood by me now. I had to change it to a google docs spreadsheet and share.

As Ping lights the room and Flaeg charges, there is another row of zombies revealed behind each of the first two rows.

The angry dwarf easily cuts the first one down.

A horde of zombies rushes around Flaeg and fills up all the open spaces in the room. They do not exit the room however.

Flaeg, Terion, and Ama all get AoOs versus the zombies. Terion also has a readied attack. Ama, having moved, can perform a readied std action.

As the zombies are somewhat slowed, only four of the charging zombies are able to attack. The brave dwarf and human fighter block anyone behind the door from being charged, but not Ama.

Zombies up after AoOs and readied actions. Some zombies may fill in the gaps of the fallen.

Belrain begins intoning, "Light shield you from evil!" and reaches out to touch Terion's arm. As he does so he leaves himself open to the Zombie next to him.

Cast Shield of Faith on Terion, provoking attack of opportunity from a Zombie. Shield of Faith grants +2 Deflection bonus to AC for 10 rounds.

Ama--consider your action delayed until after Ping. Do your full move from your spot in the column.

Ama<<<<

Redid Ama's move to a five foot step forward. Flaeg and Terion get attacks of opportunities as the zombies fill the room. As there are enough zombies to fill in if they fall, I will do the zombies.

The zombies move slow so that only a few of them can attack Charging zombies do not provoke. The brave fighters are hit by strong arms of decay 7hp physical to Flaeg and 8hp to Terion

Attack (Light Crossbow): 1d20 + 3 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 3 - 4 - 4 = 1 -4 for into melee, -4 for soft cover

... but in his effort to avoid hitting anyone, the bolt sails far overhead of both friend and zombie alike.

Bizzlemont shouts out in surprise when he sees the zombies surround Flaeg. "Someone help Flaeg!" He points to one of the zombies and fires a shimmering beam.

Use Blinding Ray against the zombie west of Flaeg
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Hoping she was close enough to help the others out, Ama reached into herself, channeling the energy towards the zombies that had moved and surrounded her companions. Praying that what she was doing would help out Terion and Flaeg, she readied herself in case one of them fell, so she could step in and help.
Channel(damage):1d6 ⇒ 6

Misread the damage, Flaeg takes 4hp and Terion 6hp.

I assume Ama waits for the creatures to charge to she can effect them all.

With the Charge and Rage penalties, my AC was 11 for the zombie attacks. It looks like both hit me...

Then, he brings the axe around in a deadly arc at one of the zombies that hit him.

K5/J6 destroyed by Ama M6 destroyed by Terion

Half the zombies resist Ama's divine power. Two that don't explode in ashes from the power.

Flaeg misses the one running past him but destroys one near him with a mighty swing. Five foot step left

Besides the two destroyed, all of the zombies are damaged with major and minor burns on them from the divine flame.

Belrain slaps Terion on the arm and a warm feeling of confidence washes over him, as though someone or something was looking out for him.

Cast Guidance on Terion.

He then steps up next to Terion, filling the space next to him and plugging the doorway between them.

Male Human Per +3

Terion nods solemnly to Belrain as the holy man steps besides him - None shall pass.

Update before zombies go.
Flaeg smashes two zombies, Terion one, and Ama waits for the zombies to go and unleashes holy energy. All zombies are weakened, two are consumed by the fiery light. The attacks as the zombies rush by, the crossbow shot, and the attempt to blind one are ineffective. Eleven of the original 16 zombies stand with major(6hp) and minor(3hp) burns on them.

The zombies shift for another deadly series of blows. Not able to properly coordinate their attack, only a few of them take advantage of flanking.

three zombie vs Flaeg: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 221d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 61d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

not sure if my hand of the apprentice ability suffers the penalties for "firing" into melee and the risk of hitting someone else.

Hand of the apprentice can reach up to 30ft with no range penalty using your intelligence modifier. Attacking a target engaged with friendlies will incur a -4 penalty.

Ama stood behind Terion and Belrain, seeing the undead close on her companions, and channels the energy she felt within her one more time, hoping that it would be enough to aid them. After this, she was going to have to fight.

By my accounting of the fight, Flaeg is at -7 hp (18 Con) and Terion is at -15 hp (13 Con). Terion is dead, and Flaeg's brain is about to become zombie snacks.

Round 2

Seeing Terion and Flaeg both go down in sprays of arterial blood as zombies latched onto their flesh, Steve/Strang's stomach knotted in horror.

"Belrain, get back here! There's too many of them!" he cried out, the panic in his voice barely under control.

Finding some action in speaking, he loaded his crossbow and fired into the zombies again...

Attack (Light Crossbow, into Melee): 1d20 + 3 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 3 - 4 = 12
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Missed Belrain casting Shield of Faith on Terion to grant him +2 AC (total=20). Terion's alive and swinging.

Male Human Per +3

Hmmm yes, I think Terion has just been killed... According to my accounts (GM Tribute can confirm them) - my AC is in fact 16 = Studded Leather (+3) + Dex (+2) + Light Steel Shield (+1) because I had to replace my gear when we were hijacked. With Belrain's spell it goes up to 18.

This means that Terion's current status is: 6 points of damage from the initial zombie charge + 2x9 damage from 2 of the last 3 zombie attacks on him = Total: 24 points of damage > this means (since Terion has 11hp) that he is at -13 and dead... Happy New Year I guess...

Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 3 (HP: 21/21 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+3, R+5, W+5 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +7)

"Ama, Ping, Elgorian! We have to do something! My spells...they won't work on these thing." The little gnome draws a small dagger and then casts a spell on himself. A shimmering blue field swirls around him.

Cast Mage Armor on himself. Draw Dagger. AC is now 18 for 1 hour.

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

Terion, you're wearing the armor you got off Junip, right? Isn't that a +7 armor bonus on its own?

Male Human Per +3

Wow Belrain... I had COMPLETELY forgot about his Banded mail :D I guess that puts me at 10+7(banded mail)+1(dex)+1(light steel shield)+2(shield of faith?)= total 21. You were right! AC21 = safe and sound with all of my 6HP :D HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

"My limited spells were not prepared with undead in mind. We were at a major disadvantage here in the first place. Back up to just outside the door! we can funnel them towards us two at a time!"

What about flaeg?! he's surrounded!

He shouldn't have charged in like that. Not much we can do for him now, but win this battle and...

And what?

Hope.

Elgoron twists his wrist in a verical circle, intoning a spell of defense. (cast shield, AC is now 17.)

Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)

My pleasure buddy. :D

Belrain looks horrified as Flaeg goes down among the horde of Zombies.

He'll just respawn, right?

What in the name of the light are you talking about?

"NOOO! FLAEG! We gotta save him!" he shouts. He looks for a way through the press of Zombie flesh. He gives that up for the moment, and starts yelling at the Zombies. "Hey you stupid Zombies! There's lots tastier flesh over here! Don't you wanna eat a Cleric instead?" Belrain jumps up and down and bangs his club on his shield, making a huge racket. He then goes into a defensive stance against the wave of Zombies coming their way.

Move action to distract... Or attract the Zombies. Standard action to go full defense. Current AC 20.

GM Tribute, Terion is wearing the Banded Mail

Did not see the mwork banded mail updated on the character sheet, but I was sure the high hit rolls would have this checked :-)

The number of zombies had decreased, at which Ama was glad she could contribute in that respect. However, there were still others to be dealt with. She was not that great at tactics, though she suspected something that she could do to hinder all of the zombies may be better than her attempting to remove one of the zombies from the fight. There was no guarantee that she could even manage to re-kill the zombie if she did hit it.

Praying that what she did was not the wrong choice, though she realized that she should have done it sooner, she found the spell that she had been gifted with and spoke it into being, the Elven words almost a melody unto themselves.

I think you are right Strang - I have still to act.

Seeing Flaeg fall among so many enemies, Terion roars to rally his companions - We need to get to Flaeg, do not faulter and lets press on these monsters! He still breathes!

Jeff finds himself humbly before a kindly old man behind a set of battered AD&D dungeon master screens. Looking on the back, Jeff sees massive arcane tables including the scattering of grenade-like weapons chart and a grappling, pummeling and overbearing chart.

The older man speaks in a low, but impressive voice--"A dwarf build--man I love them dwarves. Get another character ready quickly--your friends are waiting. The fate of another world is at stake. You better not change the race. Call him Flaeg if you like."

He chuckles, "Reckless barbarians. Eaten by zombies. Hide behind the cleric next time. At least you get a full set of starting equipment again."
