I'm thinking (Claim all loot that is not nailed down), but Ama wouldn't say it. ~,~; Not to mention, providing that channel to the monks (known evil) rather stops the Paladin potential.. Monk, here she comes!
Any decision on that Imp. Unarmed Strike double-feat?
as far as the channel thing, I don't think it's an evil act to heal an evil person. If anything, (imho, anyway) that's an even greater show of courage and compassion, especially since there was no way we were letting them just take us down. whether its the greatest strategical choice is questionable, but I find these things just sort of work themselves out.
HP: 0/8 AC 16/14/13 | F+0, R +5 W+1 | Per:+1, Init: +3 | BP: 4/7
Showing mercy is not evil. Neither is healing a person so that they may repent. I think you could still take a level of Paladin and not worry, but then again it's up to the GM.
Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 2 (HP: 12/12 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+1, R+1, W+3 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +4)
Agreed. It's not like you turned around and slit one of our throats. Plus, there's plenty of people who have done evil who go on to be Paladins. Redemption is one of the shticks.
Philosophically, I meant. It was more a "show of goodwill" than it was, I meant. If Ama was leaning towards Serving, she likely wouldn't have healed the monks and waited until they departed to channel. It may be a minor help, but the hard(er) line of opposing evil is "not helping evil unless it serves the greater good(and even then, it's distasteful)"
Fixed, all should see and edit now. (Google add ons make simple google docs harder to use.)
In AD&D paladins had significant power over other classes (for example, a constant protection from evil 10' radius, a third level spell), that their strict code needed to be enforced. Now that other Paizo classes seem much more in parity, I do not feel near the need I did before to enforce their behavior.
Hm.. I can't 5ft step and go defensive once the zombies move, can I? I intended to delay to see if the zombies moved (I'm well surprised now), I took no other actions than asking Belrain and that 5ft step..
I have moved Ama back to her spot in the line. Moving to I-3 was more than a five foot step. Just consider her delayed until Ping lights the room. Move her and I will adjust the zombies.
There are different takes on Lawful Good--the Iomedae deliver justice (Judge Dredd) philosophy as well as the merciful/Golden Rule (Bill and Ted's be excellent to everyone). Healing evil is more a Sarenrae than an Iomedae act.
Ah, sorry.. I had thought I was just behind Terion, and wanted to 5-ft in. Gave you the wrong number, that's my fault. You can replace Ama and continue. I'll (hopefully) take the hits.
Male Human Cleric 2 (AC 20, T 11, FF 20 / HP 20/20 / F +5, R +0, W +6 / Per +4)
On the road for about ten hours today, and then at the home of extended family for four days so posting may be sparse. Have a Merry Christmas all if I don't get on much the next few days!

As to the last round's carnage... Terion can speak to his current AC, which if it is accurate to his character page, is currently 20 due to the Shield of Faith cast on him. Otherwise... We were in serious doodoo from the start. :/
HP 19/19 | Per +5, Traps +1 | CMB +3 | CMD 16, AC 17, Touch 13, Flat 13 | Fort +2, Ref +6, Will +1
Darn it, I read the thread three times to make sure I caught everything, and totally missed that every single one of them. The zombie attacks in Round 2 both missed him, so he's at 4/11.

Terion's hp crisis resolved, can we all please remember to keep our character sheets as posted in our profiles up to date and accurate?
A suggestion for all of our convenience as well is to put a mini-stat block in a spoiler in our combat posts so that we all know what peoples' AC, hp, conditions, and spells/abilities used/remaining are.
Like so:
Status:
HP 4/11
AC 15
In Hands: light crossbow
Conditions: none
Spells/Channels/Smites/Etc Used: 2nd-N/A, 1st-N/A, 0th-N/A
I also find it convenient to specify my Move and Standard Actions, as well as label each turn.
I don't mind if you guys do the smart thing and fight from the hallway. Flaeg made a huge tactical mistake by raging and charging a superior force alone. He rolled the dice and took his chances. If he survives, it will be a learning experience for him. If not, that's the risk you take!
the way I see it, it was in character. roleplay before rollplay, I always say. Besides, one of the risks you take as a PC is trusting the DM to make the story interesting, no matter what you do. Let's see how it all plays out, shall we?
Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 2 (HP: 12/12 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+1, R+1, W+3 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +4)
Yeah, if that second channel roll had gone different, this would be an entirely different situation. I think we'll be ok, but having evocation as an opposed school really hurts here. A Burning Hands spell would be prime right about now.
Don't do it man! You also lose 2 AC when you Cleave. However, Cleaving Finish lets you cleave to any target and not suffer the AC penalty. Check it out!
HP: 0/8 AC 16/14/13 | F+0, R +5 W+1 | Per:+1, Init: +3 | BP: 4/7
I saw that. I've got one first level spell left and I;m using that to try and get Ama on her feet. After that, I say we run screaming like little girls.
Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 2 (HP: 12/12 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+1, R+1, W+3 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +4)
Hey, I just noticed there's a door to the west of our room. Is that correct? As much as I hate exploring more in our state, if it has the possibility of a way out, maybe we should explore it.
We also should take some stock of our situation here on the ooc side and get together a coherent plan. Unfortunately, Bizzlemont is out Color Spray spells. He has Blinding Rays left, but not many. If we can buff up Terion some and get Strang in a position to sneak attack, we might be ok. Unfortunately, a lucky hit could bring us down. Welcome to 1st level.
Ping, do you have Inspire Courage left? Elgoron, what spells do you have left?
detect magic, ray of frost, and prestidigitation. nothing useful if we run into more undead. got a couple shots of my hand of the apprentice for ranged attacks, but that risks misfire in melees, hence I've been holding onto it. One unlucky miss and I might just bring Terion down before the enemy does.
Male Gnome Wizard (Illusionist) 2 (HP: 12/12 | AC 12(16)/12/11(15) | F+1, R+1, W+3 (+2 vs. illusions) | Initiative +1, Perception +4)
We're not giving up just yet Terion. Bizzlemont is down to 2 hp, so he's going to try and avoid combat, but his rays should help. Strang can try to follow up on them to get sneak attack damage.
