I was looking at Wild Shape animals.

This dinosaur is rules legal but total cheese. It gets four natural attacks!

Yeah, but two of them are secondary attacks. A lot of druids would be better off turning into some sort of cat that has three primary attacks.

Mountian Lion makes sense for Kazmir to have seen those in high places.

Also, how cold is it?

Only asking, for future reference. If it gets cold enough I can start using Create Water in creative ways....making ice slicks, frostbite on bad guys....Will it ever be cold enough for that?

Also, I just realized, Kazmir is an arctic druid. He doesn't get wild shape till level 6. So I have less damage output then you think, if you need to change the encounter!

Bizzk is waiting for you, yes. He's right next to the wall though. You can use any legal form for wild shape--getting five attacks in a round doesn't break the game as badly as you'd think.

It's pretty cold, but not instantly-freeze-water cold. Think lower teens in Fahrenheit terms.

I wasn't depending on you using wild shape for this, no.

I just had a climatic scene in Into Unknown Shadows that I have been planning for literal months. Felt very good to get it just right (I hope the player enjoyed it at least half as much).

One day I hope to play in a sandbox game like The Shackles and the Vault.

Shades of Green has real potential.

And that one I play the monk, For Lost Glory is nearly a year old today....exciting times.

I don't want to be that guy but what do you think about letting me take a class or two in some martial class so I'm not useless in melee combat?

I'd be perfectly willing to let you do that, either by multi-classing or becoming gestalt. As I recall I'd even suggested gestalt as an option when we started the campaign.

I was a big tough guy at the start but I have since devolved into a whiny player afraid of getting eaten by atomies. I am enjoying this game, btw, just combat is stressful because I am always trying to save spells. If I had even a little other ability, I'd be much more comfortable.

Also, as I look through my notes, I need to update Kazmir's sheet anyway. I've been a bit sloppy about it, so I need to do that anyway. Good time as any to go gestalt. I won't change his stats or anything other then gestalt would do.

Any limitations, guidelines besides common sense and fun? I am thinking ranger, is that acceptable?

Ranger would be perfectly acceptable and very in keeping with Kazmir, I think.

1. The build looks fine to me. You'll probably want to pick up some better weapons at some point, but there will be opportunities for that. Though ultimately your spellcasting will still be your strongest point.

2. I might be explaining things badly--I just over the course of the last few posts realized I hadn't really explained which teleporter is which and the fact that they can be blocked, for example. What do you feel you're not understanding?

Every teleporter connects to one and only one other teleporter on another floor. You can either recite the correct couplet to get it to teleport you, or use a key item. I went ahead and labeled the teleporters on the current floor. The ones on the left go back downstairs to the entrance hall, the one on the top goes to the aerie, and the one on the right goes to Nazheena's sanctum.

Is that clearer? Any remaining questions on the teleporters?

GM, I have my worries about this game. I do not feel invested as 'Kazmir', there is not much story for him. Perhaps my fault for not giving him a good background.

Eh, to some degree it's the problem of playing an AP where most of the plot is hidden from you. It makes it hard to get hooked into the story.

So, I have been thinking... would you like to start a new, more free-form game? I've cut down somewhat on my active game load, so I'd feel more confident of my ability to keep up with unexpected twists. I'd be more free to make a much less combat-focused game that way, which might also be part of the problem. Or we could continue with this and try to figure out how to make Kazmir more interesting to play. Which sounds better to you?

I understand this might mean you blind and remove class levels from my character. Although to be fair, I went easy on you, the Naga gaze also deafens you according to RAI.
