Okay, so we can use inspiration to either gain advantage on a roll or to give that inspiration to a good roleplayer. I like that mechanic. Rewards for roleplaying.

My bardic inspiration class ability lets me hand out a d6 to other characters to add to a later roll.
Yeah, I think we did that the wrong way, should have used the bardic inspiration +d6 not the Inspiration advantage roll.

There is, two places where you can walk up, both your right and your left. Scaling the cliffs is an option, but not the smartest.

leveling up in this system is pretty quick. it's mostly just HP and class abilities.
Good point Mordechai, I was sort of assuming Dover was a Goblin held town and we were trying to avoid it, that was dumb. Dover might be a better town to try and get to

Just to clarify, the hill and the portal are two separate things right? One is atop or inside the other and we don't necessarily have to go through, correct? We were just tasked to get the idol in order for the elf lady to "destroy" the portal.
If I'm wrong please clarify what our objectives are supposed to be. I don't want to indirectly derail any forward motion because I'm confused.
