Male Half-elven Fighter 3

Good evening, all. Hope everyone's still around and OK.
And not groaning that it's another joke.

Two dwarves, Cearmac and Vezzin, are travelling across the Great Sea in a rather large ship. During the trip the ship is hit by a pirate attack. Somehow the dwarves manage to get into one of the life boats.

So the two dwarves are floating along and lost on the sea. They notice a crate from one of the ship's holds next to their little boat. They manage to pull it aboard, and using a dagger, crack it open. Inside is a small lamp. On a lark, Ceamac pulls it out and rubs it.

Poof. A Djinni appears and gratefully tells Cearmac that for freeing him, he will now grant him one wish.

Cearmac thinks for a moment, and then says "I wish the sea were full of fine dwarvish ale."

The Djinni bows, and the wish is granted. Overjoyed, Cearmac starts scooping the ale up from over the side of the boat and guzzling it out of his helm. After a bit he notcies that Vezzin isn't drinking any.

"Say, Vezzin, what's the problem?"

"Cearmac, you bloody fool, now we have to pee in the boat."

Master of Procrastination and Grognardia

I'm still hovering over like a vulture.

That would be a problem except they aren't the only ones peeing in it.

Eh.. a drop in the ocean... I wonder how the fish feel. Could you picture an Aleshark?

Always tipsy and being everyone's friend instead of trying to eat them? I'm suddenly picturing Bruce the Shark from 'Finding Nemo.'

Male Human Psion(telepath) 2

who in the next second believes you've insulted him and turns into jaws.

Male Half-elven Fighter 3

Just wondering if you are doing OK, Dementia?
Understand that you have been extremely swamped and all - but you've been pretty quiet for over a month now.

Also - are you waiting on us to do something further in the current action? Don't know if it's a case that one of us should be doing something more to get a response or action out of this.

Anyhow - just checking, as this has been a fun bunch to get to know in the game. Still here as needed. Cheers!

Male Half-elven Fighter 3

Hello all. Just wanted to let you know I will be on a trip and probably not on the boards for about 10 days - in case things start to pick-up again during that time.

New joke - not one of my own:

An elf, a goblin, and a dwarf have found a genie's lamp. The genie tells them that it will give each of them one wish - whatever they desire will come to pass.

The goblin scratches his head and says "Well, everyone's always killing my people. I wish we had a homeland of our own, where we wouldn't be bothered by other peoples." POOF. The goblin is gone.

Then the elf makes his wish - "I wish my people were restored to the land of our past, to the glory of the old elven empire." POOF. The elf is gone.

Now it's the dwarf's turn. The genie asks him what he wants.
"Er...'scuse me, but did you just teleport all the elves from this land?" The genie nods. "And all the goblins?" It nods again. The dwarf nods sagely.

"I'll have an ale."

Hello all -

Back from my business trip and hope everyone is doing alright. I'd like to say it was interesting, but I spent most of it in meetings in Orlando, FL. Not even a chance to visit the Magic Kingdom. ;-)

Bet the weather outside the windows was perfect, taunting you.

Male Half-elven Fighter 3

Most definitely. :-)

When I was young I left me home; me comrades; and me family.
I took a job among the boats because they said it's manly.

I sailed the lakes; I sailed the sea; I sailed the whole world over,
I'm mighty glad I am the lad they call the Benzie Rover.

The first time that I sailed the lake from Frankfurt to Wisconsin,
I took a job upon the boats with Captain Jim Johannsen.

I sailed the lakes; I sailed the sea; I sailed the whole world over,
I'm mighty glad I am the lad they call the Benzie Rover.

Well I had a gal in Leland Town; in Green Bay; and Chicago,
I promised that I'd marry them just one day from tomorrow.

I sailed the lakes; I sailed the sea; I sailed the whole world over,
I'm mighty glad I am the lad they call the Benzie Rover.

Me name is known both far and wide for all the hearts I've broken,
And all the tears they shed for me are the Rover's only token.

I sailed the lakes; I sailed the sea; I sailed the whole world over,
I'm mighty glad I am the lad they call the Benzie Rover.

Well I'm standing on the Frankfurt pier; me sailing days are over,
And on my arms their names appear - the loves of the Benzie Rover.

I sailed the lakes; I sailed the sea; I sailed the whole world over,
I'm mighty glad I am the lad they call the Benzie Rover.

Male Half-elven Fighter 3

Hello all.

Question time from me.

I messaged Dementia/Distinguished Narrator and haven't heard back from him; it's been 2 months since we really put in any real posts. Unless someone else has heard from him, I am concerned about him and this Pbp.

In the past, I have run a Pbp or two, but had to step off unexpectedly due to personal issues, so I empathize. I've also really enjoyed all the RP with this group, and am certainly willing to keep waiting for our DM to return.

Is everyone still on-board with it? Just trying to gauge what's the feel from other folks; apologies if I am repeating myself.

Cheers!

Well DW has dropped off without notice before IIRC, so I won't say definitely this game is dead. That being said, I have forgotten the details of this game what with my other PbP games, not to mention RL as well.

If DW should return, I would make every effort to get back into this game but until then this game is pretty much dead to me.

Ditto. I'm lurking, if someone posts, I'll follow, but I'm not expecting this to start up anytime soon. Guess I'll see y'all 'round the boards.
