Iradyiel happily hands the dwarf the hammer, as Nazz loots the body, well these folks may not be so stogy after all...this may be to good to be true...mom and dad would be like, 'we need to bury him and send the valuables to his relatives then sweep and dust the temple' So Iradyiel asks hoping he may be right, "So we relieve the corpse of his goods and leave his body here in the temple and get on our way, right" smiling, as he heads to the door.

"You shouldn't touch it, it's unclean." Nazz hastily says as she walks faster in order to keep Siff from touching the foul corpse.

Finding a nice spot outside the woman uses her dark and pitted sword to start churning up the earth in order to bury the corpse.

Stepping outside Darya looks at where Nazz begins working to dig the rocky earth. "You know I've only found burial to be a mild deterrent to undead. Cutting off the head or burning the body's usually better." she says almost conversationally.

why didn't I keep my mouth shut? Shaking his head, no; Iradyiel removes a short sword and starts shoveling out the dirt that Nazz has broken loose. He looks at Darya and says, "We can cut the head off before we burry him in a shallow grave." hoping that Nazz catches the hint that they don't need to dig too deep.

And if we give the other to Siff she will be in better shape in case we run into anything, um dangerous. I mean we don't have too, but I don't want to carry Horgus, not with the chance of getting fly larva on me," Iradyiel shudders a little, just saying what everyone is thinking. Stone figures are carved into the walls of this cavern. Each depicts a different crusader clad in armor and wielding weapons, but their carved stone features contain expressions of sadness. Aravashniel becomes very excited: Well look at these! Amazing. I wonder if the old legends are true then?

bite the bait and ask Aravashniel to share the legend:
Aravashniel is happy to share the story: Well, dear adventurer, it's an old legend that after the First Crusade a group of crusaders who had become infected with Abyssal energies fled into these caverns to raise their deformed children in peace, and that their descendants live on today in the tunnels below the city. The presence of these statues here gives significant credence to the tale- I mean, we can assume they were carved by the children. No?

Examine the statutes (DC 15 Knowledge history, local or nobility):
you recognize the armor and symbols as knightly orders from the First Crusade.

those armor and symbols are knightly orders from the First Crusade, I remember that from school, what does Nazz mean she 'wore them'? How old is she? Iradyiel smiles at himself when he recognizes the symbols, hearing Nazz say she wore those symbols, distracted him from hearing anything else, as he asks Aravashniel to share the legend: "Which old legends Aravashniel?"

Her eyes widen and she turns slowly to study Nazz as she mentions having worn the archaic armor, but all other thoughts evaporate as enemies drop from the cavern roof. Stepping up alongside Iradyiel, Darya brings her blade slashing up against the lurking creature.

"Sorry, I ..." She began when the winged creature attacked. As gently as she could, she sat her charge down and brought her crossbow to bear, not wanting to remind her new friends of her own curse.

Nazz onion chops the "headlike" structure on the creature eating Darya, then moves aside just in time as she sees the reflection in her polished greatsword blade: 3 abyssal orbs from siff which strike the monster spattering it's oozy black blood and lethery bat bits all over the chamber. Darya breaths deep in the fresh air!

Darya's halo fills the room with light now dim light, 20% miss chance for non-darkvisioners. The remaining darkmantle squeels and opens like a tent trying t ongulf Nazz's cranium.

But Nazz fights it off.
Kill it for gosh sakes!

That's when you hear a booming voice coming from the next chamber. A strange language to most of you...

Dwarven:
What the hell is going on in there?!

And you hear footsteps coming. To your surprise, Avenia pulls a dagger and moves to the mouth of the next chamber, ready to help.

Nazz has Darkvision.

The remaining creature trying to avenge its hunting mate might have well have been a simple mosquito in Nazz' mind as she stepped away from it towards Darya's prone body and throwing herself to her knees and reaching out a hand to lay on on the unconscious woman's chest. "By Iomedae..." she started.

Then nothing.

Weary eyes shooting open wide in fear she frantically grabs about her clothing before snatching out the potion she had found on the Huecuva and, popping the stopper off with enough force that she almost broke the lip of vial, poured the healing contents down the Paladin's throat.

Avenia hollars back from the mouth of the next cavern. Oh my gosh I can see him. It's Millorn!

Originally forced to flee underground to avoid persecution for his research into vile magical traditions, the dwarf has long since become mentally unbalanced from his isolation. He now sees enemies everywhere, and shrieks like a man possessed whenever someone encounters him, interpreting them as agents of the crusade come to finally arrest him.

The voice calls back answering Bruno:

Dwarven:
Crusader bastards! Why can't you leave me in peace to do my research! I'll kill you all!

You got about 20 seconds to place yourselves and get ready for him. Because it's time to fight MILLORN THE MAD DWARF!
