"Well done Demonte...your choice as to the next hall we tackle!"
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
"Are you alright, Antinous?" Iorec inquires, honestly worried. "For a moment you seemed a little... distressed. And what was that about Cheliax? Noone intends to take you to that devilish place."
Nicely done! Hooray for clerics and their high Will saves :)
You guys head to the hall of shaping. As you exit the building you hear some cheers from the crowd as they know you're getting close to being able to enter the hall of wards. The cheers fill you with a boost in confidence and you have a little extra hitch in your step now. You even notice that the Queen has taken note of your little group, though she doesn't seem totally won over yet.
You approach the hall of shaping. Rodolpho you'll remember from your time on campus that its a bit of a tradition for would-be graduates from the school of transmutation to alter the Hall of Shaping as part of their exit examination. The goal of this is to alter the building with out making it collapse. As such you notice that the building is a mixed up jumble of metal and wood that doesn't really seem to fit together but thankfully is still standing and looks safe to enter. As you enter the building you hear the faint song of songbirds. Searching through the building you search the ground floor and find nothing. Deciding to head to the top floor you start you're search up there and the songs of the birds gets louder until you find a room filled with caged song birds. Seeing that this room didn't have the key-light you decide to leave it behind.
Finally you enter what looks to be an abandoned office. Three statues lay against the wall, forgotten by time. Off in the corner of the room glows a key-light.
Does anyone go in?
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
Iorec is immediately enamored by the little songbirds and only when the rest of the group leaves their room he hesitantly follows.
He now looks into the abandoned office and mumbles: "Huh, looks easy enough. Too easy, maybe..." With great care he approaches the key-light, vigilant as always concerning traps.

"So, do you think one of those birds could fly in and snag the light? I'm less eager to run forward this time after the last building."
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
"Huh, interesting idea", Iorec says over his shoulder while continueing into the former office. "But I doubt that one of those tiny songbirds has the strength to lift it. Besides, I don't think any of us could get them to perform such a task in the first place."
As Ioric, Rodolpho, and Antinous enter the room you start to hear some familar chanting. There are 3 seperate voices and you're pretty sure something is casting a spell but your not sure who or what...at least right now. A few seconds later the three of you start to feel your skin tighten up for a moment and Antinous you start to turn a slight shade of gray but eventually all three of you are able to shake off the affects. The casters then reveal themselves as the statues begin to animate and move.
I need initiatives from everyone as well as 2 possible actions on your turn. I'll do my best to get a combat map up tomorrow.
I'm not sure if you can fumble a save but I'm going to be nice and say that Antinous made his save. If you want someone can make a spell craft check to see what was just cast on them.
Remains at the door as the three follow in, looking around. "Wonder what this place--" Pauses as he first see's the three in the room turn grey and skin tighten, then the statues in the room begin moving. "Err...That's not good! Tylonick, get in there! But be careful!" Tylonick moves into the room, growling softly.
Sorry for the slow posts, RL been getting in the way a bit.
[ooc]Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
Initiative:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 I'll wait with my actions until I have a better impression of the location. Iorec will try to move into flanking position with the eidolon at the first opportunity though.
D'oh I knew I forgot something...in all the excitement of getting a girlfriend yesterday I forgot to copy the map for you guys...I'll have it up tomorrow...sorry again.
Just waiting for the clerics iniative. If you guys could also please post 2 actions for you to do during round 1.
You know these things as Garipans. Nasty beings with little memory for how or what they might have once been. They start out in the service of the legions of hell but they can escape those bounds. They often masquerade as gargoyles, but are actually the final state of failed conjurations. They're created when only a portion of their helish essense to Golarion, unidentifiable magical enviornmental conditions combine with the shard of their outsider's being. They have resistant, stoney hides; sharp claws; and a flaming core that rivals the inferno of Hell.
Great rolls there Antinous lol...hope your luck improves lol. I got the map created and it can be found in the campaign info tab. I made it so you guys can edit it so please place yourselves on the map. Sorry for the streached image...it did that when I copied it out of the module and I'm not sure why.
Rodopho quickly casts a spell and a bolt of lightning streaks toward the closest demon. Smaller bolts arc from that demon to the others in the room.
Cast Chain Lightning. 13d6 damage to all targets. First baddie fired at can make a DC 27 Reflex save for half. Te others make the save at DC 25, if they are within 30'.
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
I can't seem to edit the image or place anything on the grid. Is that just me?
Iorec waits for his fellow companions to act, especially for the tough eidolon, and then nimbly moves into flanking position with it. Looking for a weak spot in the creature's body he thrusts his rapier.
Hmm I have it set so its editable but it won't let me edit it either...I hate google docs sometimes...we'll just run with out it I guess. You'll have to use your imaginations(sorry).
While the summoner hasn't posted actions for the round I'll post for him to keep things moving.
Round 1 wrap up
Randolpho you're spell goes off. Tylonick will move to intercept one of the statues that is moving towards the group and unleashes his fury on the beast striking it with a bite, two claws, and two wings. Antinous you cast bless from your rod. The creature Tylonick attacked looks at Tylonick and the rest of the party and fire shoots out of the creatures mouth. See the spoiler below for the damage taken. Iorec you move up and flank the one that just breathed fire on the group. The creature tries to swipe at you as you move in but you skillfully dodge out of the way. Your rapier attack peirces the creature but it still stands. The remaining creatures let loose with their breath weapons, coating the party in flames once again.
Rough round of combat guys. Thankfully they can't do that every round. Please post your current hit point total, Reflex save bonus, and your actions for the next round.
Dolph, noting how well his electricity affected the creatures last round, turns his attention to the monster, not currently engaged in melee. He takes in a quick breath of air, and fires out a line of electricity, against striking the monster.
Not 100% sure without a map, but I am assuming I have a line to at least one of the creatures. If more than one, let me know and I'll (or you can, DM) roll damamge on that one.
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
Iorec, cursing under his breath at the fiery attacks, once again uses his advantage of the flanking position with Tylonick and tries to strike the fire-breathing creature in a weak spot with several quick thrusts.
Jorge yelps as he's set on FIRE. Fire bad!" He quickly casts a spell, effecting everyone in his party, then ducks behind anything he can hide behind, and anything to give him cover! Tho before he does, he mutters to Antinous. "Thanks!"
Tylonick growls, somehow rolling, dodging every last bit of flame! He then roars out in ferociousness and mauls on the one he previous did. "No hurt Jorge!
Jorge casts haste on everyone in the group. Then moves to the nearest thing that may give him cover and attempts to hide. 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (20) + 31 = 51
Randolpho you spit electricity and the streak strikes the creature right in the chest. Tylonick will unleash his fury and all but one claw attack hits and the creature drops. Antinous you cast cure critical wounds on Jorge. Iorec you move up and attack the one that Randolpho hit with his breath weapon and while you made contact with the beast you have a feeling it had minimal effect. The statue you poked with your rapier lets out a growl and unleashes 3 scroching rays trying to hit Randolpho, Tylonick, and Iorec. As he starts casting Ioric you slash at the creature with your rapier again(casting provokes an attack of opprotunity). The one on Ioric misses, the one on Tylonick hits, and the one on Randolpho misses. Tylonick takes 12 damage. The remaining creature moves to engage with Iorec and will try to attack him with his claws. One of them strikes Iorec across the chest doing 8 points of damage.
Attack of opprotunity by Iorec:1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Seeing that the tide had turned for 'the good guys,' Dolph decided to save his more powerful magic for the next challenge. He arrogantly fired off a force missle at the creature engaging Iorec, much less powerful than the first two spells he used.
Tylonick lunges at the nearest one still up, pouncing it, ravaging it! You taste disgusting! He snarls after he bites it.
Jorge remains hidden, holding his action, seeing Tylonick and the others have it. He's a buffer, not a fighter...He leaves that up to the 'rampaging' Tylonick!
Randolpho you fire off your missle attack. Tylonick moves to flank a creature with Iorec and pounces the creature, and lands all his attacks. Antinous you fire off your ball of fire and it splashes against the creature Randolpho attacked. Iorec you turn and unleash your flurry on the creature that Tylonick pounced on. Your two attacks, including one confirmed critical are enough to drop that cureature. The one Garipan left looks out at the party and unleashes a fireball. Tylonick and Iorec are engolfed in flames but as the fire disipates they emerge unscathed.
Wow I was actually worried about you guys for a second there but...there is only one left standing and barely after 18 seconds of combat. Not to shabby guys.
Dolph delays, hoping Ty and Iorec can fell the creature, rather than spending another spell on it.
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
Without pausing for a second Iorec dives under the fiery breath to emerge next to the stony monstrum, attacking once again with deadly precision.
Rolls:
I'm not sure if Iorec is close enough to get another full attack. If not, disregard all rolls except the first ones. I also forgot that he is hasted until now, thanks for reminding us, Jorge!
Tylonick shakes the beasts in his mouth like a large dog, then spits it out, giving a comical icky face. "Haven't tasted anything that bad since that bad tasting moving jelly!" Jorge laughs, walking back up to the group, nodding. "Tylonick is hurt just a little, though I think he'd rather have something to wash his mouth out with."
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
122/130HP
Iorec counts his limbs and sighs with relief. Afterwards he snatches the key-light and then presents it to Jorge. "Here, you and your companion more than deserve this one."
He then heads for the exit of the hall. "So shall we proceed to the next challenge or is anyone seriously hurt? I think the next one shall at least be more 'charming'!" He chuckles a little, amused by his own bad innuendo.
Iorec give me a fortitude and a will save please. As you touch the key-light you start feeling your body change shape.
Antinous or Randolpho can make me a spellcraft check.
Iorec Zilu(male Human (Varisian) Rogue (burglar) 13)
"What the..." Iorec exclaims as he feels a strange sensation spread throughout his body.
Fortitude:
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 Will:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
That looks bad! You do remember that Iorec's a trap spotter, right? Just saying... Btw, I don't mind if you roll saves for me. This time I was able to respond fast but it might slow the game down in the future to wait for me to simply roll a save.
