I will point out that iirc, scent gives a static bonus to survival regardless of whether you have an object to smell or not.

Okay. I looked it up and it does just operate like the Survival skill, but with a base DC of 10 and no penalties for surface condition or lighting. But it also says that scents can be recognized just like sights, so it would be helpful to verify this fellow once we've located him.

BTW, just realized that I hadn't updated Nyug's purchases yet.

Just added a belt of strength +2...and per our previous conversation about the injustice that is Stoneskin @5th level, I've traded that potion in for a CL10 Heroism potion. (I'm 90% sure that the tweak you wanted was just me dropping the potion, not alchemical allocation altogether...though if you want me to drop it altogether I'm fine with that too and will just sub in a different formulae)

Anyway, the belt means I should've done +1 damage with that attack.


Noted. I'm fine with allocation, it was just the stoneskin potion causing issues.


I'll wait to see if Thrassk or Hrim want you move into flank position (since is grappled and so can't take AoOs). If so I'll probably do a full sneak attack.

If not... I don't know how likely this will be to work but I'm tempted to try to pin the giant.

BTW, my vote would be to use the CMW wand only in combat since the charges are so frigging expensive. Between encounters we could always get a CLW wand or two if we want healing that's faster than IH.

Looks like I missed yall.

Looking on roll20, I don't see any obvious exits to get further into the tower (except maybe 3f, which looks like rubble but I think we haven't explored yet?) Am I missing something, or do we need to search for exits?

Depending on how long it took to explore these areas, I'm in favor of moving on in order to make more use of active effects (enlarge person, summoned elementals). If those have already run out, or do so before we find anything interesting, I like Hrim's idea of a Stone Tell to learn more about what caused the recent destruction.

Hi Jelani

As we've seen my home group doesn't always play RAW, because we continue to learn how it's different than 3.0 and 3.5. We use Glitterdust a lot, and it defeats invisibility. Meaning, no more mischance for the duration of the spell. Looking for Ruling precedences among the loads of Glitterdust threads, I found this one to support how we play.

Can you help me see your perspective? Is that how others play Glitterdust? Of course, even I can't understand, it's your game and your ruling.

I just didn't know that. The spell says nothing about removing invisibility, it simply says it covers the creature in dust. However, if the developers say it should remove invisibility then I guess a 2nd level spell defeating a 4th level one completely is fine... (>_>)*

In that case, you can see it, and see that it has 6 mirror images.
