Vyshael tries to bring his now oversized sword to bear within the many strands of tangled webbing, striking at the space where the unseen foe struggles. The blade finds no enemy at the end of his swing.
Feldivar waits outside the room and the web, watching the results unfold.
Neva fires into the space where the foe wriggles, but her bolt only flies into the web to get stuck in a strand of it just past her targeted area.
Raliscar continues to grouse and roar, this time in direct response to Feldivar's quip, "Hit the sneak with your blasted sparkles, not me, ye twit!"
In response to Raliscar's bickering, Feldivar reassesses the battle, and launches a follow on golden glittery effect, this time into the room. The shower of sparkles covers the web, and a bit of Vyshael again. Except this time, an additional form is outlined by the magic. Though the spell cuases the invisible enemy to stand out within the web, it in no way defines any discernible features.
Rutter moves to the edge of the webbing and finds the outlined form of the invisible enemy. "I see him! I can't reach him! Shoot him Raliscar and Neva!" He drops a kukri and draws one of his daggers.
Rutter moves up to the edges of the web filling the northern part of the chamber. Vyshael, stands blind and big in the center like a great big golden spider.
Raliscar tries making his way through the insufferable webbing toward their equally stuck foe. "I can barely move through this blasted stuff, Rutter! I doubt my bolts'd fare much better!" The dwarf then tries to make his way toward, and hopefully past Vyshael, but he gets jostled by the now blind elf and tangled almost instantly. The loud, angry dwarf spends the next several moments trying to break free from the sticky strands. "Blasted webs!" His remaining words are a slurred mess of compound expletives that are swallowed by his beard and webbing.

"We can see him glowing now, do we need the webs?!"
As Raliscar himself wrestles with getting through the web, before getting stuck himself and having to spend a moment tearing at the webs around him.
The shimmering form of the enemy itself pulls and strain at the webs. It even throws the caution of stealth to the wind as it lets out a whispered swear of frustration for failing to break free.
"We can see him glowing now, do we need the webs?!"
"Indeed, milady! He's already caught, where you can do with him what you will! Why dismiss the snare when it holds the rabbit?"
Vyshael says, "I can dismiss it, but don't want our foe to escape."
"Yeah, well hopefully I can hit him!"
Rutter throws his dagger haphazardly at the glimmering figure in the web. He then reaches down to pick up his kukri.
Vyshael shakes his head to try clear his eyes while swinging his blade at the same area of the web.
Vyshael flails about, although blindly, but not wildly. He aims for the same spot he had swung at before, considering that the enemy may still be stuck in place. He made contact, but due to the pull and blockage of the webs between he and the enemy, his blade just narrowly glances off of what is most likely armor of some sort.
Neva fires into the sticky webbing, which also offsets her shot much like it did to Vyshael, for her bolt to skip off the glittering enemy's armor.
Rutter groans and heads into the webs. He deftly avoids getting entangled as he starts to round the trapped glittery figure, swiping at him as he passes.
Feldivarxon calls out, "Speak your piece or die in a giant spider's web, invisible one! Who are you?"
Finally wrenching free from the webs, at least to some degree, Raliscar shoves his way past Vyshael, "Bah! One side, one side! Get yer enormous an' bony elvish butt out o' my face!" and closes in on their sparkly foe, his broadsword still in hand. "Whoops! Time's up on the gnome's offer, ye slippery devil. I'm not nearly as reasonable as the gnome when I'm grumpy an' I'm gettin' tired o' chasin' folk in circles!"

The humanoid form says nothing at Feldivar's call. Rutter moves in to fight the man up close, managing to strike out hard and drive his kukri into his thigh. The man cries out in pain at the blow making its way past his defenses.
Meanwhile, Raliscar angrily forces his way through the webs, and even past Vyshael's bulky form, to place himself blade drawn across from Rutter. The enemy stands tangled and glittery between the two of them.
All the man can do is continue to try and remove himself from the grasp of the restrictive webbing holding him as the victim. Either fear or frustration was what he needed, as he wrests himself out of the webbing's grasp. In a mix of rolling and a failed attempt of contortion, the man struggles to sidestep out of the webs safely, not only getting caught once more, but opening himself to attack from both men as he does so.
Rutter swings a kukri at the person as he passes by.
"Not so fast, ye miserable snake!"
As the glittering man struggles with the web, his move past Rutter results in a sharp stab of the halfling's kukri to the stomach. While he doubles over from the pain, Raliscar draws a long hot wound across his back with the heavy sword. The blood mingles with the glittery layer across the man's body, as it drops slumped into the webs it had just released itself from.
Raliscar harumpfs as the form collapses into the webs before him, "That's what I thought!" He then turns and shouts over his shoulder, "Alright! The slippery eel is down. Ye can drop these infernal webs now!"
Neva walked over and touched the dying man on the forehead. "The Lady will judge you when she wills."
"Oh, the webs were not mine. I provided the decorations! You look good in glitter, by the way - you should talk to your tailor about a new suit."
"Finally!" Raliscar brushes his shoulders free even though the magical webs have already dissipated. He then points an angry finger at both Vyshael and Feldivarxon, "Next time you lumps hit me with the same blasted magics as the people we're fighting, I'm gonna take that as an invitation to start tagging you with the same bolts I'm shooting. How's that sound?" He looks to the side and mutters, "But good job stopping 'im."
Walking over to Neva, the dwarf asks, "So you think this is Davaulus? That a name I should be rememberin' or do you two have history?"
Vyshael raises an eyebrow, "How about you save that threat for the time I hit you with a spell that actually harms you?"
Neva moves to tie up the glittering, unconscous prisoner.
"We'll talk about Davaulus in a second, but please check to see there is no one else to cause us harm. Rutter, please give him a hand, dear? Vyshael, I could use your help with these ropes."
Vyshael nods, holding up a hand as he dismisses the magic making him large, "Small ropes are tricky with big hands."
Rutter sheathes his weapons. "Yeah, how do we get the glitter off him so we can tell who he is?" Rutter nods affirmatively to Neva and then heads back to the lab (F8) and starts searching for anything interesting.
"Never fear! I have been unable to figure out how to make that lovely sparkle permanent." He sighs dramatically, "It will fade in short order."
Wearing his relief at Feldivar's comment of the spell's shortness plainly on his face, Raliscar turns away from the glittering captive and starts poking under beds and desks, looking for any other unseen foes as Neva asked. He offers gruffly over his shoulder as he does so,
"String 'im up like the rat he is and let's wake 'im. There's an awful lot o' wrong in here that needs answering before we turn the miserable sack over ta Kroft."
Those familiar with the particular magics know that Feldivar's glitter will wear off before even the lowest casting of invisibility. Tying and binding the man would likely be better done while he's annoyingly shiny than before he goes unseen again.
Raliscar searches the room and finds no sign of any more enemies, or anything of note, and finds nothing beyond the disturbingly drugged 'patients'.
Rutter performs his search in the main office in the back, most of which turns up a lot of notes and research. A lot of the paperwork requires plenty of time to pore over, and is mostly documenting patients admitted and results of either treatments or the disease. A few scattered notes in particular, though, discuss Varisians having immunity to the Blood Veil.
Neva looked around with concern at the patients. Part of her wanted to leave with the captive while the body was still invisible. But most of her wanted to stay and try to help these victims of both plague and whatever horror the doctors had been inflicting.
"I think we're going to need to get a message to Kroft sooner rather than later. We've got dead Grey Maidens here, and likely the Queen's doctor tied up, so it's not safe to stay. Not to mention those piles of paper to sort through. But there are people that need help here, and I'm loathe to leave them for whomever might find them next."
She thought for a moment.
"Can we get news to Kroft and quickly interrogate this man, while I'll do my best to help? We can ask Kroft to bring healers, maybe from the Temple of Abadar? When they're near, we'll make our 'escape'."
Vyshael winces, "Are you sure that's safe? I can't imagine any of us want to be here when the maidens are found. All that to say, can you heal out guest so we can talk to him immediately?"
Neva nodded to Vyshael and cast two spells in quick succession.
Chagrined to notice that her companion still bled, she then turned some attention to Vyshael.
Vyshael smiles, "Well, that was most welcome."
As the spells fade, and Neva removes the last of them on the unseen foe, the visage of Dr. Davaulus does indeed come to the fore. She then heals both him and Vyshael, and as he comes to, he looks at the group of you all with scorn. "What do you think you are doing?! Do you have any idea who I am?! The Queen will have your heads!"
Raliscar looks over at Davaulus and shrugs, "Ye look a lot like a fella' who's soon ta be no better off'n these poor souls if he doesn't answer our questions. Even then... well, who knows?" The dwarf then looks to the others, Neva in particular, and waves toward their captive with a half bow. "Well? Ask 'im what ye will. I'm guessin' we'll get naught from 'im, but hopefully this is one o' those times I'm wrong."
Vyshael shifts the long blade in his hand and says cooly, "I'd think, given the situation, our heads are not the ones in immediate danger."
