What's not cool? Why should we all do math? ;-)
Actually I've given up on counting experience in the games I run. I just decide when it's a good time.
Hmm. The original plan was to take that bump east, and explore another hex or two, but since we found the berries do we want to go straight to Bokken's hut?

!!Attention players!!
A Curse of the Crimson Throne Game is looking for a replacement GM.
And they are offering to the new GM in turn, to be a player in one of the Player's Games.

If you wish to make renders like the one's I've done
Daz has 70% off "Genesis" Pro bundles for a limited time.
One's that says Genesis or have the number 5 in it.

Indeed. Did you not notice the above references? Halloran can trade 5 spells for potions, so that's one Bull's Strength for Halloran, 2 Cure Light Wounds for emergencies, any requests for the last two? or should we just go with 4 C.L.W.'s?
Since you are ponying up the spells to buy the potions, I figured they'd be yours. Very generous of you to share with us. I'd say 2 CLWs is adequate as long as Alkaid is with us. If AZ wants to ease her out of the party then get 4. There are so many uses for potions. Expeditious retreat could be good. Something like spiderclimb could be useful too, especially in a dungeon crawl, which we are not in. But I'd look for some spell which would be generically applicable.
Oh wait! If you're getting bull's strength, can Bokken make invisibility? Good offensive or defensive potential, and has a long shelf life.

In Dragon Magazine there was an article once, where an experienced adventuring wizard was lecturing a bunch of inexperienced wizards, on how to have a successful adventuring career (i.e. stay alive).
In it he said, "The best armor is plate mail, and the best thing you can do with plate mail is to buy a set and put it on a fighter, then have him stand between you and anything that wants to hurt you."
In my opinion, trading some spells for potions that might benefit the entire party, isn't just a bargain, it's a good investment.

Sil was feeling a little guilty about planning to leave at breakfast. Nothing more. I'm glad you picked up on it Malkovitch -- it made a nice RP moment to announce his departure.
Guys, I have enjoyed playing with you all, but posting opportunities have diminished while work has grown much busier and I've more demands on my time at home too. I'm cutting back on my PbP as games reach logical stop points.
So Silstaren will be leaving when the party reaches Oleg's. I hope the door will be open for him to return if time frees up and I can re-instate some games.

Why not do both? Halloran is already laying the ground work for inviting Kressle to go out with the party and maybe Happs, at a later point.
And you can see if we can find any new players who are interested in joining the group.
If we find some new people great, and if not we can have the NPC's take up the slack.

Hey Azure, love the interest and looking forward to playing with some new people, but I'm wondering if I should go ahead and invite Kressle and Haps to go out with us anyway.
In game terms Halloran wouldn't know that any new people were coming and no offense to any new players, but despite their former background he knows who Kressle And Haps are. The new people would be completely unknown to him.
In practical terms, I don't have to tell you how many people have come and gone since this game started, I'm the only original member that actually started this adventure path, left.
NPC's can be counted on to stick around, when other players disappear, however since you're the one who'll be running them, I figure it's your call.
Not trying to make more work for you, or sound like I don't welcome new players, just thinking out loud. What do you think?
Malkovitch |
Might be a little late, as I'll be busy for most of the day, but I think I can check it out sometime tomorrow night.
Looks good so far, you seem to have everything well in hand. I don't see anything to really object to, having two bards in the party seems a bit redundant, but I don't have a real problem with it.
Do you have a limit for how many new players we get? Ideally, I think we're looking for 1 or 2 martial types, someone who can handle healing (cleric/oracle) and a rogue.
If we have those 3 things covered, anything after that is just bonus material, though an extra spellcaster wouldn't hurt. I'm inclined to say the more the merrier, but seeing as you're the one who is going to have to keep track of us all, your preference for party size takes precedence.

Welcome to the Game, but some of you need to make some corrections or note things.
Rufus Fitzroi, you need to update your stats to 20PB, and no stat under 10.
Telderen, if you swapped the SLA for a stat boost I need to know which one to confirm your point buy.
Kira Lastras, you just need to swap Infernal for Abyssal.
