Maena hefts her mace and tries to strike at the corpse, trying not to curse the paladin, He couldn't have detected evil and given me some warning?

Maena takes a moment to calm herself before leaning in to search the dead thing a third time, standing on an arm to prevent it from trying to grab her again.

Maena sighs, That would have been too easy, I suppose.... She steps away from the corpse and says, "No clues. Moving on seems to be the best idea."

bailiff’s supplies and emergency provisions
in case of an attack on the courthouse.
Two heavy crossbows rest on a rack with a
case of 50 bolts underneath them, and four
longswords and four daggers are sheathed
here. Four sets of chainmail and light steel
shields hang within as well. Eight potions
of cure light wounds rest in a vial rack here.
Five sets of manacles hang on hooks within
as well as two tanglefoot bags and two
smokesticks.

Maena nods, "Seems more than you would need to outfit a constabulatory.... Still, these items would be useful, assuming they are not trapped."

Maena suggests that the cure light wounds potions be divided up amongst those who are willing to fight -- 2 each for Sir Killian, Kirallah, Aciera and herself.
She whispers to the others, "I do not trust the others with weapons -- I suspect that they are as likely to kill us as any other threats we face."
