I think we should keep the horses (for now at least) so we can get around the map quicker.

Agreed on keeping the horses - it's a lot faster. Agree also on keeping the amulet, it might come in handy at some point.

I agree with keeping the amulet, as well, especially with what the bandit told us.

Ok, if everyone's in agreement on keeping all the horses (except the one that was pulling the cart), and we'll keep the amulet, and sell the rest. Everyone can add 69 gold and 8 silvers to their sheets. I'll take 69 & 7. And then everyone has a horse and the party has the amulet.

That's become half the fun! Like poking a sleeping bear with a stick...you don't know when it'll wake up, but when it does it's going to be spectacular. :p

On a serious note, though, I did state that ooc we all knew those guys were bandits, so I think we're all good. Just trying to have a bit of fun rping based on that situation ic. I hope you aren't taking it personally, as it isn't intended as such.

Just to point it out if my description was not clear about this particular point:

The enemies on the left and right are not on melee reach, but they are above ground around 15ft, shooting from their safe position on the watchpost on top of the trees.

I'm not adding the difficult terrain tag for this battle. I think it'll be hard enough without limiting your mobility. As for the charge, technically you wouldn’t be able to charge, since there’s a tree trunk blocking your way, however, give me a DC 10 acrobatics, and a cool-ass-cinematic-description and you can charge-jump-attack the bandits.

Hey!
Here’s your DM making a silly request.

I don’t know if it’s noticeable, but I try to keep the game with a ‘narrative’ feel to it. Usually on my post I try to hide the rolls, and be descriptive and all of that. That sort of thing makes the game more enjoyable to me, and makes re-reading also better.

For that, can you guys keep discussion only question to discussion tab? I mean, if you’re just going to ask a question with no gameplay involved, do it on Discussion, please. :)

Altho technically you wouldn’t, you I’m willing on two conditions:

1st: Should be something cool and heroic to read.
2nd: Since you are trying to perform a full round move action (hustle, move twice your actual movement) and a full-round-action on top of that (Dazzling display), then the ‘DC’ to demoralize the enemies will be raised by 10. Also, remember if you are trying to jump on/over the tree trunk, you’ll also need an acrobatics DC 10.

@DM Aku: that's fine, makes sense to try and keep the thread 'cinematic'

@Vik: get the Combat Stamina feat asap. Seriously. Not only does it let you add stamina points to your attack roll (turning near misses into crucial hits) but you can use stamina points to combine Dazzling Display with an attack. My fighter in my other Kingmaker campaign has it and it's saved his butt more than once.

The bandits use rope with knots to climb to the platform. Once they climbed up, they pull the rope making it harder for others to climb as well. Without the rope, you’ll need to climb the tree.
