Here's a map of Tethyr that isn't entirely crappy. "Darromar" is, of course, Ithmong. There's also plenty of little places noted; try and pay them no mind. The map is basically just to give you an idea of the locations of the important places. It's also missing some places, but it will do for now.

Everyone except Landon and Duvall may begin to post. At this point, individual reactions are probably best. I'll have you assemble in the courtyard of Helm's temple shortly, where your characters can meet one another for the first time, unless you wqant your characters to have met before.

@ Janiries - regional languages are fine; as long as the principal players all know common, and thus can communicate, then additional languages are up to you. As for how much they will come into play: most people in the realms, when confronted with a mixed group, such as adventurers, will almost always default to common. Some may speak their own languages; wouldn't hurt to know em, so you can figure out what they're saying about the foreigners...

I had been hoping to have you guys on the road yesterday, but we're still missing the participation of one of our players. I'm going to wait a bit longer and then proceed without Elur's player having taken part in the courtyard scene.
I know things haven't been super exciting thus far, but setting up a story and recurring characters isn't a simple process. A big part of the success of a PbP is the participation of the players, not just the efforts of the GM. The fact is, you folks are going to get out of the game what you put into it. When you show me that you're interested and engaged, it interests and engages me as well, and we all get a better game as a result.
Anyways, I'll wait till tomorrow morning before having you set off.

Sorry guys, just finished a really rough work week. And I work in a residential mental health facility, so rough, means really rough. Shouldn't be a common occurrence though, we just had some schedule changes and the clients gaff a really rough time adjusting. Things shouldbe much better from now on, and I should have apost up in the hour.

I have knowledge nature +6 if it matters, and will use my height to get clean shots of things, trying to move within 30 ft but not leaving the elevatd area.
If I must switch to longspear first, then handaxe, only if the situation is desperate.

I'm looking at the game thread today and only two people besides myself have posted. I'm wondering if the American Thanksgiving holiday is somehow responsible? If it's more convenient I can temporarily suspend the game until after the weekend, as long as everyone promises to return :-)

As for me, I work later today (3 to midnight PST). I have my first turn up, but if you need to, you can bot me as well. At this point I'll probably just attack with elemental ray unless they come in close. Then I'll probably do something like shocking grasp with a fire descriptor.
