"The options do sound reasonable," Jeren says with a nod and a smile. "Still, a week does sound like quite some time. Seeing as how I do have a particular gem or two that have caught my eye, would you mind if you could tell me what they are worth? This way I would know if I would have to raise money or not in order to get them. And would it not be possible to remove them first so I can collect them sooner? Say, if possible and if they are covered by my fee, tomorrow perhaps?"

Jeren would point to the lightsaber crystal and another gem in the same fur, the latter being a diversion more than anything. After all, just one specific gem may seem suspicious.


Hmmm, I may not have made the descriptions clear. The gems aren't actually visible. They are basically sewn into the hems and such of the coats. You won't know what they look like.

"You seem like a trustworthy fellow," he adds with a smile, "so let us go with the second option. But remember, no selling any of them before I take a look. It is fair, is it not?"

Oh... Well, in that case, I suppose there is not much he can say about it, other than simply wait a week, right?

NT-2B will be cautious not to bring up their last encounter in front of the businessmen, but once the group is alone again, he'll turn towards both Jace and the Captain. "Especially if they are after the cargo. Wrapped Hands had a policy against leaving before receiving payment. There were a few occasions when we returned to find that the vendor had simply up and vanished. His mood following was... unpleasant." He tosses a look at Jarl. "I am sure you recall."

"Perhaps we could use this week to prepare for the possibility of attack? Rather than behaving as, I believe humans use the term 'sitting ducks', why not take the opportunity to prepare some sort of a trap?"

"It is also possible that such efforts will be wasted in the event that they are no longer pursuing us. Operating under that premise, perhaps we should also find local work for the next week. If we are to remain in this area, we may as well be productive."

As Jace questions staying Daaneth takes a casual stance.

"I'm sure Vin-Dai doesn't need to be bored with our longterm plans. Jeren has made a request of us that both myself and Vin-Dai have agreed to, so we'll make it work."

Daaneth smiles broadly at the jeweler and shrugs, "You have the merchandise, so you're at an advantage here, but I'm willing to trust you, considering what we know about your... operation , taking a week seems reasonable as long as we get first crack, as Jeren has requested. "

Later, once Not2Bee has said his piece Daaneth nods his approval of the droids assessment and offers his own.

"They have a central location here, one not easily given up considering the merchandise on display, it would cause suspicion from their clientele, both honest and otherwise of they just moved house in a week, so I think we're fine on that end. As far as staying a week, Jace you have a good point, though I'd ask you to keep our business private when around our employers. We need to see how long outfitting the ship will take, we can discuss what to do once we have all our information. Sound good?"

"Excellent. I shall give you first choice of the stones. I am pleased we were able to come to an agreement." With a smile and a hand shake, he bows you from his shop, genuinely pleased by your willingness to work with him.

Returning to the space port, you return the speeder truck, getting back your security deposit and paying for 2 hours of use total. Upon your return to the ship, you notice that the comm panel is beeping - it's the live communications line, not the message light.

NT-2B waits for Daaneth and Jace's argument to slow down before returning to his own. "If the Outfitter wants payment up front, we may not even be able to continue with any upgrades until after th-" NT-2B stops, doing his best to look suspiciously at the blinking light. "Intriguing."

Daaneth, taken back by Jace's anger stutters a bit as he speaks.

Jace seems to take offense whenever Daaneth talks to him, if there is something I can do to accommodate him, let me know, interparty conflict can be good story telling but I get the feeling I might actually be offending you which is not my intent.

Daaneth hits the switch, and the vidcom goes live. On the screen you see Gibby, Fialla's protocol droid. He says, "Oh, thank the Maker, I've finally gotten in touch with you! It's terrible, simply terrible. You must help immediately!"

Even so, he has to admit that one of the reasons he has survived this long has been the low profile he has been keeping. That and the fact that he has avoided using the Force as much as possible. 'Still, given my current career choices, this may soon change.'

The Togruta smiles at Vessani's joke and set in the copilot seat.

He begins launch prep and sends a message to Vin-Dai Soo letting him know that they'll be 'off planet' for a little while but will send information for a rendezvous when they return.

The vurk will think to himself, Perhaps, but are we the stuff of heroes? after hearing Jarl's response.


In the time it takes Jarl to get the ship warmed up and get clearance to launch, NT-2B has a hyperspace course dialed up. Escaping orbit quickly, the White Dwarf jumps into hyperspace, beginning a 12-hour journey to Krai Ven Station. During the travel, the crew speculates about where they might find Fialla, and if Gibby will be able to aid them. After a night's rest, the crew drops the ship out of hyperspace. Landing in Fialla's docking bay, they see Gibby pacing back and forth, clearly agitated.

As they disembark, he says, "Thank the maker, you've arrived! I believe I have found where he took her."

"Just tell us everything you know Gibby, the sooner the better."


"A group of 5 ruffians overwhelmed Gord and grabbed Mistress Fialla. They stole her ship, the Fireburst, and fled the station. Fortunately, I was able to trace the signal to Nar Shadaa. Once we arrive there, we will hopefully be able to track the ship and find where they took her, and rescue her."

Daaneth:

Nar Shaddaa, or the Smuggler's Moon, is a moon that orbits the Hutt throne world of Nal Hutta. Like Coruscant, its surface is covered in towering skyscrapers, leaving no trace of the surface easily located. Unlike Coruscant, it is ruled by the Hutts, which means crime runs rampant, and the black market flourishes. Th planet is broken up into sectors, typically broken up by who lives there - or which gang controls the area. It's a dangerous place - but one can make a healthy profit if you keep your wits about you.

Gibby totters onto the ship.

"While it has been a few years since I have been on Nar Shadaa, I do not expect it to have improved much." He looks towards the Captain, "For what it is worth, and I hope very much it does not come up, I am fluent in Huttese."

"That makes two of us Not2Bee, on both accounts. On a planet like that there will be plenty of secrets, and plenty of cons we should devise one ourselves so we don't attract attention and tip off any contact our kidnappers have."

He ticks off the crew in his head and thinks for a bit.
"Could try the old slaver con, we have enough different species on board to make it look legit. Jeren and Jarl could just be looking for a buyer, if the rest of us keep pur heads down and pretend not to speak anything but our native languages we're bound to hear some local news."

He shrugs as if to say "that's all I've got".

"Two more people looking to sell slaves should warrant no second looks on the Smuggler's Moon, I agree," Jeren comments with a shrug. "Not only that, but people may let slip useful information around... ahem... useless slaves that only speak their native language."

Checking that his pistol is in working order, he cannot help but sigh. 'Were these simpler times, I would have no need of this... thing,' he ponders, looking at it and hiding his slight disappointment.

"Hell I have done a lot of different cons the last few years but this is a first for me. Maybe we can rig something to look like a collar and just hold a control button of some kind. I suppose if you act up we might need to zap you or we could just claim there are explosives in the collar, I am sure the slavers would love that idea".

Also Not 2 bee, let's see if there is some kind of check you can make per my post above, we have no clue who these guys are right?

NT-2B fiddles with the computer for a few minutes. "I am afraid that I am not having much luck." He thinks for a second before continuing. "Perhaps I can spend more time searching for information once we have left."

That's the plan Jace, Vessani is a Zabrak so he's being 'restrained' with the rest of us nonhumans.


After a 4 day journey, you arrive at Nar Shaddaa. The lights of the Smuggler's Moon glisten on your approach. Freighters of all kinds fill the orbit. Your comm crackles to life, and a voice says,

Huttese:

"Welcome to the glorious moon of Nar Shaddaa. Please land at Jaguuna spaceport, in the Corellian Sector."

Daaneth nods to Jarl, and relays the message once the comm is shut off.
"Jaguuna spaceport, in the Corellian Sector. Keep Not2Bee around for any translations you might needs. The rest of us should head to the cargo hold and get ready for our little ruse."

Daaneth walks off and collects the rest of the crew mates.
"Alright guys, Jarl is landing the ship, let's get this show on the road!"

He hands Jeren his syntherope and holds his wrists together with a grimace and reminds the man not to tie them too tight so they can break out if they're discovered or if a fight breaks out.

Jark begins preparation to land the ship. As he does so he turns to Not2bee and Gibby.

"Any way either of you can learn perhaps whether their ship landed within the last few days and where? That may give us a good lead. I mean if we just wander Nar Shaddaa this could take a while! Gibby, I think you should stay on the ship".
