Not at this point. Some of you may never join a faction, some might have a change of heart. There will be abilities gained from factions and beliefs, but this will be dependent upon dedication and strength of belief.

So giving folks a choice, we can start with a premade adventure to help people get acclimated to Sigil and get the party working together, or we can jump right into my 5x5 full campaign that I'm calling A Heart in Hades.

Hey, thanks for the pick! The other game I was playing in that involved Sigil/planar travel just got put on hiatus due to RL issues, so I'm extra excited for this!

My vote would also be to start with the mapped out adventure- give us a chance to come together as a group.

So Modron March is always a classic, I'm hesitant to start Tales of the Infinite Staorcase as its extended adventure is more time sensitive. The Well of Worlds might be a good start too.

Again, whatever you are interested in overrides anything else, but something like Modron March can be really long PbP style. I was in a campaign that just went inactive that only made it through the first 2 chapters in about 5 months. Been many years since I looked at that adventure, but I imagine it has quite a few more chapters to it.

If you have your own adventure idea to get to sometime in the next year ;) I'd suggest a shorter adventure like Well of Worlds or Doors to the Unknown is fun if I recall.* Or possibly even just one of the mini-adventures they had in the boxed sets if you want a quick jump start and then get to what you have planned. *shrug*

* Don't worry, not only can I keep player and character knowledge separate, but also one of the reasons I really got into Planewalker.com was because I never had a home Planescape game. So I have barely played any of the published adventures, just looked them over many, many years ago. So I don't remember any details of them anyway! :)

I've personally used just the first adventure of Modron March to get things started before, my favorite part of it being that you could end up with a little piece of Sigil real estate.

Looking things over, I've decided to start with The Maze from The Well of Worlds. It is pretty straight forward and there is nothing quite like being stuck in a maze to get people working together.

Sorry I haven't gotten an initial post up yet- I tried yesterday and my computer wouldn't connect to my network. (I often make shorter posts from my phone but it's hard to make long posts that way).

As for final tweaks- I think I'm finished but if anyone has any thoughts on skills we should really have covered but don't I might be willing/able to switch something?

A thought: What do y'all think about posting rolls in here, so when you post you already know the results of what you rolled?

You can also accomplish that with the "preview" button while writing a post... if you prefer not to have dice visible in game play we can rolls here, or in some games dice roll (and ooc comments) are all hidden in spoilers (which may be easier than trying to follow which discussion rolls line up with which gameplay posts).

Also, using preview or rolling here is only really helpful if we already know what DC we need to succeed and/or what the result of our roll will yield.

Yes, I like showing the rolls along with the posts. It keeps the illusion it's a tabletop game.

Yeah- previewing locks in any rolls (and actually, once a roll is locked in that's your next roll of that die- so if you roll 1 on a check and then edit the post to no longer make the check, you'll get that 1 on the next check you do roll).

More info as of tonight: Tuln is returning on regularity and starting next Monday will be back to full steam ahead, post-holiday. Apparently the universe made me post yesterday and Tuln contacted me today to tell you all what I already told you, with an addendum.
