I was a big fan of the plot hook. It very clearly got noble offspring together immediately, which creates some very unusual group dynamics, and set the ball rolling very quickly with an intriguing, fetch quest plot. I have many questions as to the history of these gems, why they are where they are, etc.

I've personally always been a fan of the kidnapping plot hook. I think some people feel like it's railroady but I think that it's a reasonable way to create a lot of tension right away while also getting strangers to start working together.

I second this. This sets up a very unique premise that promises great interactions, and it seems like we have quite the bubbling pot of personalities.

I enjoyed it.

Because of the mix of alignments and personalities the players in us will be thinking very different to what our characters might.

Example Amelia believing it a 'noble' lol cause to save an undead creature from undead where as Alexandra's knows she should be really suspicious as to motives but doesn't actually care so long as the dragon keeps its word.

I love the tattoo idea, and just in general how these completely different characters are being made to work together and tolerate each other's eccentricities.

Like Alexandra started out finding Amelia annoying, but they both have the same opinion about Lysanders way of talking, so there's a common ground that isn't an undead dragon.

Playing Alexandra is hard sometimes because I need to remember how upper class, noble born, royal and proper she is, but at the same time she finds physical situations a lot more frustrating than social ones XD

It is nice that every member of the group has very different identities. Everyone is doing such an excellent job of portraying their character that just the text would be enough to identify them. Even though I'm playing a straight man who's a bit gruff and short worded. It gives a lot of different avenues to explore the world through.

It's the opposite for Daubeny. Let the others handle the social, but if it's physical he's all for it.

Amelia, on the other hand, is one of those nobles who believes in helping the servants with their work. She did her fair share of mucking out stables and cleaning dishes. Her father believed in the value of hard work.

I did not realize how hard it is to find videos of people playing small harps. Or for that mater how big most harps are. I hope you enjoy the music I find. Please ignore how much Iraonar has to break physics to get these sounds out of a little harp and just chalk it up to the fact that he is supposed to be miraculously good at music.

on the topic of the premises it is vary cool. I also think it was a good way to give the players some say in the world without breaking it. As has been stated I like how it forces us to interact without creating conflict, even though we just met.


Oh man I can't not comment on Alexandra's internal monologue about the hair brush. This is just too good. I'm dying here. Also, great roleplay of an evil but human character.

If my writing style changes then let me know. I've been put on a trial of new meds and don't know how they'll affect my writing yet.

It's really interesting playing a character who really can't do much. Since she's totally out of her element, she seems to be forcing her element into the situation.

It may come across as babble or silly posting, but Alexandra is so used to either putting on airs or being the centre of attention that when she's neither she just thinks about herself and judges others XD

I have no idea the state of Amelia's hair. I'm sure she takes great care of it.

Does anyone have suggestions on what they would like to do now. I enjoy running modules and adventure paths.

I was running two groups thought this same adventure and the other one kind of fell apart. It got down to only two players that were doing anyting so I have invited them over to this game for the next round.

We can do some role playing to introduce them at the villa.

Also level up to level two and let me know when you get it posted so I can look over it and update your characters in my Hero Lab.

GM, may I pay the 100 gp to retrain improved initiative into extra discovery? I couldn't take extra discovery at level 1 because I didn't get the discovery class feature until level 2 but I'd prefer extra discovery.

Lysander I have so say no to your request. I have never liked retraining. How do you forget something to learn something else? Its not logical.
