Looking over the gameplay thread, it seems Kastus and Cedrica's arguement is a good reason for her to decide to strike out on her own or something if an In character reason is needed for her to leave.
Just so we know, I'm not trying to make a player v player conflict. This is meant to stay a character conflict. I also don't want hurt feelings, so if I'm pushing it, say so here and I'll roll it back a bit.
I'm not certain. I'd had the thought of bringing Restiji (I think was his name) but I'm uncertain. What do you all think? Shall we have another wizard?
A Note on Loot: Oleg will accept any items you don't need and give you a running tab at the Trading Post. Oleg can get you anything you'd like in time, though it will take around a week (for normal goods) and 2-3 times that for for exotic goods. He has a few things on hand if any of your characters would like to check upon returning.
Well we seem to have lost three players. I was enjoying this though. Perhaps I can recruit a few more, I'll put a post up in recruitment and see what may bite.
I am having some slight issues with my internet. I am hoping to have them cleared up by the end of the week but until I get my net back I'll be on hiatus. No need to worry.
Alright, I got us 2 (possibly 3) new characters and now I have a question.
Would we like to begin again? Or attempt to work forward from here? We are not too far into the storyline and so working forward would not be too difficult, but I figured the question should be posed.
Alexei is carrying almost no gear whatsoever, figuring he escaped town with only a little stored coin. When we get to some kind of store he should outfit himself, but I like the idea of the party meeting him as a unarmed and unarmored skinny man.
I will have you two as prisoners. I have one more character joining, a half-ogre barbarian, but I am currently attempting to haggle out a bit less powerful version. Wouldn't want him to overshadow our own Kastus as the martial of the group. Once that's done we will begin again with all of you as prisoners of the bandits.
Hey folks, do any of you know if there's any feat to turn a skill into a class skill? I plan to invest into Perception for I'd like to represent Alexei's other sharper senses compensating for his poor vision, and the Alertness feat has been only a small bump.
Jesus, a half-ogre mounted barbarian! That poor horse!
Mounted Fury was his original build, mostly because I didn't like the idea of Raxus being super-fast and because he's kind of obsessed with flying and I thought that eventually having a flying mount sounded cool.
At the moment he's a mounted fury Barb without a mount.
With Leadership or a few levels of Beast Rider Cavalier, I would absolutely allow a flying mount. Sounds awesome to me. Or a good enough Handle Animal I suppose.
Deacon Nasser(Male Human Wizard Foresight School, (AC17/13/10, HP8Current 8Conditions: Nil))
This guy.
I made a new profile for Deacon. This time as a foresight wizard.
His role will effectively be the same but given the remoteness of the local being able to add spells to a spellbook would be far more useful to this party.
I'd like to take 1 level of Cavalier (order of the dragon) at 2 and shoot for arcane Archer/EK. He'd ride around on his horse (to stay out of melee) plinking with magic and arrows. With enough levels he'd be able to make the horse fly (I'll need to take bonded companion feat to keep it survivable though)
this way he'll be 90% pure caster/knowledge guy (which I think suits this group well) but can still do something useful (shoot!!) when the magic runs out.
I know it's late, but the party hasn't met him yet (I still have the old one if you say no), can I swap for this guy, please?
I feel happier with the development potential here, whereas with the first version it was simply 'Sorcerer with broad selection of spells'.
Ryuko, I have a question for you about equipment. As his backstory I have Raxus as a hunter/trapper. He has lethal tools, but primarily he tried to use non-lethal options.
What would I have to do to have a subdual damage reach weapon?
Hm... that is an odd thought. What sort of weapon were you thinking about? As in damage dice, special abilities other than reach, critical range and multiplier?
Err, Ryuko, lemme know if I got a little carried away on the description. As Alexei's spells and abilities are a gift from the gods and his ancestors, I though he could have a good ghostly quality about them. I can easily play down the tone if you'd like a more down-to-earth game, though.
There are also three men tied firmly to a nearby tree, hands bound securely and almost hanging by their wrists.
*ehem*
I'm pretty sure we aren't bound the way you think are, Alexi. Sounds like we're stretched out with our arms over our heads.
Some of those spells have Somatic components. Without Still Spell I think you're going to have trouble casting until we deal with those ropes.
Hoping I'm not out of line pointing these things out. I was just hoping to show you the quote from the GM in time for you to still be able to use the Edit feature.
ooh sorry then. I thought Alexei was probably just tied up and thrown to the side, since he doesn't look troublesome. I deleted the post and will wait on GM feedback.
It was a cool post. I liked the flavor you gave the abilities.
Summoning a weapon like that is a Spell-Like, which means it doesn't have somatic components. I'm pretty sure you could do that and use it to cut us free. That would be pretty cool as an introduction to who you are.
Ryuko, would you please recommend a couple languages appropriate to the campaign? Alexei grew up in Restov, but he served at an inn for a good chunk of his life, he would have learned the languages of travelling people around the town.
Alexei, You are tied as Raxus suggested, though yes, you could summon your weapon. Good languages for this area include Hallit (there are a fair few barbarian tribes using it), Elven (Not too far from Kyonin), Taldan is spoken often among the nobles, Skald is common for the common people of the area, Varisian is a useful trade language, Draconic is spoken by a few scholars in the region, Sylvan is spoken by the plentiful fey in the region, and Aklo by the dark fey.
Hope the perhaps 'unwise' rescue attempt by the cleric doesn't offend anyone. I figured it might be more exciting for our new team mates if we could get them free asap :)
