Yes you may. Actually you all can run any conversations with your mentors. It will save some time getting you to the adventuring part of he campaign.

I will post something a little later. My father in law past away yesterday, so the wife and I are taking care of the final arrangements and family squabbling. Sorry for the slow responses. This game is going to go somewhere. I bought the Fangwood keep pdf last night so that will be something you will experience at lvl 4.

About the equipment, it just states that they are given the items. I just figured why buy it if your gonna get it for free.

that can be something extra you bring along.


I think I am going to photocopy the maps and keep track of where everyone is instead of putting the maps online. Doing things this way will minimize my need for a computer and maybe keep this moving faster. I have a binder where all this campaign info is being kept, so a map in a plastic sleeve will be easier to track all our combat.

Yeah, Tigeara can come off as kind of a jerk. He's not really, but it can seem that way until you get to know him.

@Dart: Yeah, it'd be fine if we'd performed together in the past. I'm assuming that we all kind of know each other.

We should work out a default marching order.

From the descriptions so far, it looks like we have Mossri occationaly scouting ahead, Maidie leading with the lantern and probably Dart close by.

Maidie would probably feel a bit safer with some of the tough guys slightly ahead of her, even if she would never admit it openly.

Yeah, Mossri's looking around in front every once in a while. She's probably not the best scout, but she's enthusiastic about it. I'd be fine with either myself or Dart taking the scout role.

yeah, dart DOES have the scout archetype :P not that its very "scouty" haha, its one of the few things he really takes seriously. I would say Dart is about 100ft ahead of the group on average, off in the side brush. If he ever spots something out of place, such as a pack of wolves, a group of men, or even a lone traveler he will whistle back to group.

GM, does Dart know whether or not these things can harm us? you said they aren't real, but idk if that means they are illusions, physical illusions, or just transformed things.


I guess physical illusions, the damage they caused looks very much real. Not sure what else to say without giving everything away

Absolutely no need to apologize at all. I actually thought it was a clever way of keeping your key stats at hand. One spoiler is fine, but it was the three on top of each other I found distracting.

What Maidie called out is based on how I normally run illusions in my own games, namely that they can't really hurt you even if you fail to disbelieve. If she is not correct in her statement, based on what she knows from her spellcraft check, please adjust.

So, with the illusory orcs revealed to be illusory, are we still in combat with them? My next action depends on whether we need to kill them or not.

GM, how do you feel about the alchemical power component rules from Adventurer's Armory, which let you augment different spells by using alchemical items?
