I open the door and speak in Draconian
Hail Master Kerrdremak...I wish to parley
My name is Azzakhan and I wish to speak with you about an issue that will be beneficial for both of us. The Truescale Tribe led by Merlokrep has made a major mistake in judgement. The kidnapping and eventual sacrifice of the sun dwellers children has not gone unnoticed. Those above ground are upset. I would like us to work together to change the leadership beneath the ground.
I will help release the Truescale Tribe of its terrible and inept leadership and allow a much more intelligent leader to take his place. But you and you must help. My friends and I will help take down Merlokrep, your leader who shall lead your entire tribe to ruin, if we can make a simple deal.
We work together to make this happen. We aid each other in battle. You give us the proper battle information and you are trustworthy. We take all the sun dwellers with us. We will help make you the new leader of the Truescale Tribe. We have our pact completed when we reach the bright light above.
My friends and I take the sun dwellers and go up sunny side freely without any resistance. You take control of whatever you want under the sun. The caverns are yours.
Deal!

Kerrdremak...you would be a fool not to take me up on my offer. I have given you a choice. If you decide not to accept my gracious offer then the pink skins/ sun dwellers will destroy all of you.
You have a choice to make. My friends are powerful. We want all the pink skins/sun dwellers to live above the ground. Once again the caverns are yours.

To Group: Haha...Donplomacy at its finest as usual. After talking with him a couple of times Kerr has decided to join us. He will give us the location of both the children and the Leader's (Merlkrepp) forces. He says he will confront the leader when we are ready. I do not know if I believe this. But if we get a true location of the children we can work from there.

Kerr tells me ...one child with a half elf is in their den on the lower level. One fled with halfling, one fled North where the monks were, one wandered into the chain demon's domain to the North, one is just lost. (Who do we have so far?)
There are lots of traps here, cauldron elevator is booby trapped..too much weight not a good idea.
After we find the kids we are to meet Kerr in the chief's throne room.
Where to now fellow heroes?

Looking back through the posts. Kimi was with the Halfling. We have Savram, from the skeletal monk room, right?
There are still three children unaccounted for: Mikra, Jurin, and Hollin. We know from the halfling that Mikra and Jurin made it to this level but Hollin was felled by the kobold's paralytic poison and is most likely still held captive on the second level. The Halfling said Jurin was with the chain wielding monstrosity.

Assuming no objection from Azzakan:
You head back into the cauldron room and cautiously beging exploring the natural looking fissures to the East. The talk of a "chain demon" not exciting anyone in the party very much (where's the Paly?).
Unlike the rest of this level, this area features rough stone and undressed rock reminiscent of a mine shaft. The tunnels divide and rejoin several times, making it difficult ot maintain a sense of direction. Compounding this confusion, thick acrid smoke fills these tunnels, making it difficult to see anything beyond a few feet.
~creatures in the smoke filled tunnels have "concealment"~

Nice Hogan's Heroes reference.
Silently to Desna: "Help me find my friend Azz."
Cast 'guidance' and then look and listen for any signs of Azz again.

The power of your goddess pierces the veil of evil that cloaks these halls and you can sense that Azzakan is about 50' ahead and is in mortal combat with some type of eveil not of this plane!
