Gnobby asks: "Do you know anything useful?"

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Can we assume Andre and Sir Galavaine healed Pettry?

The funny thing is I looked up Gnobby's Alignment, and it's not listed. Gnobby OOC I do like how you play your bloodthirsty Gnome though. Balances out our group.

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby is Cg, with a big C and little G :-) He takes his mission seriously, sort of like a vigilante. Gnobby is like Batman, but his childhood was much worse--being sold to the carnival by your own mother will do that.

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Awwwwww!

Sallandrya will give Batgnome a hug anytime he needs it!

The Exchange

The man looks up, at Gnobby, still clutching his wound. "Nu...nu...Nul.." His eyes roll back in his head and he falls still, his breath coming weak and shallow.

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

On google search Nul gets you ... nada.

Male Human Paladin 3 [HP: 30/30]

Nil on Nul, then?

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Nice.

Male Human Paladin 3 [HP: 30/30]

"I have faith that the elfmaids can handle the two that fled," Andre says as he cleans his blade and sheathes his sword. "As for these miscreants, their master's head can adorn the keep until Lords Rufus and Burne can manage a team to dismantle the Moathouse once and for all. Take what we can from their bodies - the church of the Cudgeler will be able to aid in destroying any artifacts of Evil, and the rest can be sold to aid in Good works."

The Exchange

Are you letting the brigand bleed out, or is someone bandaging his wound? There's no roll for that in 1ed

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Sallandrya will do her best to bind his wounds and stop the bleeding.

Tarmin keeps her blade firmly placed against the brigand's neck as Sallandrya sees to his leg.

"Careful, sister, these curs have no honor."

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby searches him.

Some blood for sure.

sp: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
gp: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
pp: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Sallandrya staunches the bleeding, though the man is pale and seems unlikely to wake without magical aid for several days, at best.

Gnobby finds a dagger in the man's belt, along with a pouch containing 3sp, 2gp, and 4 pp. He is also wearing scale mail.

Not to be outdone, Podo pockets a pouch off the dead guardsman that holds 6sp, 5gp, and 4pp. The corpse is armed and armored similarly to the prisoner.

Had I been online much during this I would have healed Andre or given chase. But that boat has sailed. I have gone live at home today!

Sir Galavaine frantically searches round for Pettry and Andre since he cannot keep up. He spends the time that the others are away giving healing to one or both.

When and if the priest finds out that he hit Pettry then alot of soul searching will follow.

cure light wounds on Pettry 1d8 ⇒ 6, cure light wounds on Andre 1d8 ⇒ 3

Male Human Magic User / Lvl 1

Pettry sits up and rubs the side of his head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it! Well I did, but only because I thought you were someone else. But I guess we're even." The young man stand up on wobbly feet. "Where's everyone else?"

You can see, The darkness disappeared with Lareth's death.

Cure Light Wounds 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

'Sir Galavaine, can you get to and heal Pettry?'

Sallandrya healed Andre for 9, and Sir Galavaine did for 3 so he's at 12, Sallandrya could cast Cure Light Wounds on Andre again and the he then could Lay on Hands on the prisoner so he can walk back with us after we search further.

The Ranger Priest will make sure the foul Lareth can not menace the world any more.

We should search the enemies and the rooms. Is anyone else wounded?

Male Human Cleric of Heironeous 5, AC-1/0 Hits 45/45, xp 13,363.5/27,000

"I have healed Pettry. Do you need more if so I am sure that this will help my friend. It is not your fault you struck me. It is that cursed dark magic and that will teach me to hit a fallen foe. Again the gods laugh at my pragmatism. I am no paladin. Ever."

last cure light wounds for Pettry 1d8 ⇒ 8

"What happened with that cleric. Who slew him?"

Tarmin grabs the downed bandit by the scruff of his neck and drags him back down into the chamber where Galavaine and Andre await.

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby tosses the purse he found to Podo and resumes the process of treasure hunting on the fallen.

He whispers to Podo: "They will talk a while. We can take our time looking for things."

Gnobby even looks for some secret doors, but only if the loot is light on the fallen.

"Great idea". "We should make sure that they don't have anything dangerous on them...and I should keep the coin, because the long-legs will probably only lose it, and I'll have to find it again".

Male Human Paladin 3 [HP: 30/30]

"It was not I, Sir Galavaine," Andre replies, the worst of his wounds closing as the priest's miracles heal the wounds dealt to him. "One of the elfmaids, if I were a wagering man."

Male Human Cleric of Heironeous 5, AC-1/0 Hits 45/45, xp 13,363.5/27,000

"Doth be mine guess too, Sir. Many fatal arrows."

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

I would take that bet and put 10 gold on the Gnome.

:)

Sir Galavaine can use that Cure Light Wounds on Andre making him fully healed and then if it alright by Andre, use Lay on Hands to heal our prisoner for our trip back. That leaves Sallandrya with one more Cure Light Wounds.

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Anselth I wanted to ask you, Pettry is level 2 right? Is he fully healed?

The Exchange

Pettry is not gaining xp with the party. He will level when the last party member (Gnobby's illusionist side) hits level 2. Galavaine's first CLW healed Pettry completely.

Pettry waves off Sir Galavaine's second attempt to heal him. "I'm fine, I think. You guys did a number on them. I barely got a chance to do anything." He looks down at Gnobby. "That army was amazing!"

Searching the bodies, Podo and Gnobby put together 92gp, 77gp, and 42pp. In addition, they find three gold sergeant's chains, and on the fighter who was apparently Lareth's second, they find 29 gems and a platinum chain set with an opal. Lareth himself has but one opal and 9 pp on his person, though his armor, staff, and necklace are slightly warm to the touch. Additionally, there are enough arms and armor amongst the dead to arm a fair sized raiding party.

In the southern portion of the room are two horses, with tack and bridle. the northeastern wall holds a door.

1,372 xp. This does not include any of the equipment value.

wow! That could be awhile, and he has like 4 Hit points! Stay in the back Pettry!

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

'Pettry, can you tell if any of these items are magical? Be wary though, those who used them were of a dark mind and may have left traps for the unwary.'

Male Human Paladin 3 [HP: 30/30]

Andre whistles as they count up the haul they've gathered from ending the threat Lareth posed. "Now that's a pretty copper," he says, quite impressed by the amount of weaponry and other items of value. "I'm not sure we'll be able to carry everything back to town, but we might be able to tie everything onto one of the two horses and walk it back."

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

"Time to head back!"

The Exchange

As Andre and the others load up the horses with the gear, Podo investigates the door on the northeast wall, but he hears nothing behind it and finds it neither locked nor trapped.

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Pettry should look over the items that may be magical or above normal quality. Perhaps the thieves ... um, rogues should see what the gems are worth.

Anselth what type of bow did the leader have? And are there any arrows from the combatants?

Male Halfling - Stout; AC-19/16/14, HP 9, CMB -1, CMD 14 Rogue / 1; Init +4, PER +6, F+2, R+7, W+1

"Hey let's see what's in here". Podo says throwing the door open.

Tarmin finishes dragging the wounded brigand back to the others, straightens and brushes dust off of her legs. Seeing Podo begin to open the door ,she starts to say "Podo...Wait" but is too late.

The Exchange

Podo disappears through the door and out of sight.

Podo:

You are in a richly appointed bedchamber, absently, you pocket a few items which might otherwise get lost as you look about at the thick carpet, wall hangings, and other sundry items in the room.

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby quickly reacts, tucking his cloak about him and following Podo.

Male Human Paladin 3 [HP: 30/30]

Andre hurries after Podo as he goes wandering off by himself. "We don't even know what's over this way!"

Male Human Cleric of Heironeous 5, AC-1/0 Hits 45/45, xp 13,363.5/27,000

"Halfling luck doth serve us well." Sir Galavaine looks around to see if anything needs doing then shrugs and follows the paladin with a grin. The tension of the fight begins to ease and that feeling of being a follower is novel.

The Exchange

As the group piles into the room behind Podo, they see a richly appointed room with lush carpets and wallcoverings. Several chairs and cushions are located in the room. On the northern wall, Gnobby finds a small cabinet.

"Food and drink would be good. See if there is any. A fight doth bring a dwarven appetite to me."

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby looks for traps then opens it.

The Exchange

Salla, it is a composite longbow, not magical. He does have 16 arrows left.

Pettry tells Sallandrya, "I can, but it would take some time. It would be best for me to do so when we are finished exploring."

Gnobby opens the cabinet after finding no traps on it. Inside is a fine necklace studded with opals.

Oh wow! Is that better then my bow? I've been on the hunt for a better bow.

Gnome (hp=5/5) AC=6 THAC0=20 Illusionist/Thief 1/1 xp 0/0

Gnobby puts on the necklace.

"We can sell it and split it later. For now I look like those rich nobles that paid silver to throw eggs at me at the carnival when I was little."

Female Grey Elf Cleric 4/Ranger 3 (HP 40/40, AC 2; Init +3; Perception +16, Infravison 60ft)

Your going make Sallandrya cry with all these terrible stories of your youth.

Do you want a hug?

Male Halfling - Stout; AC-19/16/14, HP 9, CMB -1, CMD 14 Rogue / 1; Init +4, PER +6, F+2, R+7, W+1

Podo is busy playing dress up again, girding himself in finery. And in his best refined noble voice replies to Gnobby's statement.

"Oh Really, my dear boy". "It appears that you're still little to me". He then throws a handful of silver on the rich bed coverings, making darn sure he knows how many, and where each landed. "Someone bring me some eggs...large rotten ones preferably".
