Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |
Can we assume Andre and Sir Galavaine healed Pettry?
The funny thing is I looked up Gnobby's Alignment, and it's not listed. Gnobby OOC I do like how you play your bloodthirsty Gnome though. Balances out our group.
Andre Girard |
"I have faith that the elfmaids can handle the two that fled," Andre says as he cleans his blade and sheathes his sword. "As for these miscreants, their master's head can adorn the keep until Lords Rufus and Burne can manage a team to dismantle the Moathouse once and for all. Take what we can from their bodies - the church of the Cudgeler will be able to aid in destroying any artifacts of Evil, and the rest can be sold to aid in Good works."

Sallandrya staunches the bleeding, though the man is pale and seems unlikely to wake without magical aid for several days, at best.
Gnobby finds a dagger in the man's belt, along with a pouch containing 3sp, 2gp, and 4 pp. He is also wearing scale mail.
Not to be outdone, Podo pockets a pouch off the dead guardsman that holds 6sp, 5gp, and 4pp. The corpse is armed and armored similarly to the prisoner.
Sir Galavaine of Verbobonc |
Had I been online much during this I would have healed Andre or given chase. But that boat has sailed. I have gone live at home today!
Sir Galavaine frantically searches round for Pettry and Andre since he cannot keep up. He spends the time that the others are away giving healing to one or both.
When and if the priest finds out that he hit Pettry then alot of soul searching will follow.

Pettry sits up and rubs the side of his head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it! Well I did, but only because I thought you were someone else. But I guess we're even." The young man stand up on wobbly feet. "Where's everyone else?"
You can see, The darkness disappeared with Lareth's death.
Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |
'Arise brave Andre, your hour has not drawn to a close. You have still much good to do in this world, the darkness will yet fear your blade for a long time to come, and know that the great Hunter keeps watch on his allies.'

'Sir Galavaine, can you get to and heal Pettry?'
Sallandrya healed Andre for 9, and Sir Galavaine did for 3 so he's at 12, Sallandrya could cast Cure Light Wounds on Andre again and the he then could Lay on Hands on the prisoner so he can walk back with us after we search further.

Sallandrya will search/use Perception for the room and the fallen enemies
Wisdom 1d20 ⇒ 2
The Ranger Priest will make sure the foul Lareth can not menace the world any more.
We should search the enemies and the rooms. Is anyone else wounded?
Sir Galavaine of Verbobonc |
"I have healed Pettry. Do you need more if so I am sure that this will help my friend. It is not your fault you struck me. It is that cursed dark magic and that will teach me to hit a fallen foe. Again the gods laugh at my pragmatism. I am no paladin. Ever."

"What happened with that cleric. Who slew him?"
Gnobby the Gnome |
Gnobby tosses the purse he found to Podo and resumes the process of treasure hunting on the fallen.
He whispers to Podo: "They will talk a while. We can take our time looking for things."
Gnobby even looks for some secret doors, but only if the loot is light on the fallen.

I would take that bet and put 10 gold on the Gnome.
:)
Sir Galavaine can use that Cure Light Wounds on Andre making him fully healed and then if it alright by Andre, use Lay on Hands to heal our prisoner for our trip back. That leaves Sallandrya with one more Cure Light Wounds.

Pettry is not gaining xp with the party. He will level when the last party member (Gnobby's illusionist side) hits level 2. Galavaine's first CLW healed Pettry completely.
Pettry waves off Sir Galavaine's second attempt to heal him. "I'm fine, I think. You guys did a number on them. I barely got a chance to do anything." He looks down at Gnobby. "That army was amazing!"

Searching the bodies, Podo and Gnobby put together 92gp, 77gp, and 42pp. In addition, they find three gold sergeant's chains, and on the fighter who was apparently Lareth's second, they find 29 gems and a platinum chain set with an opal. Lareth himself has but one opal and 9 pp on his person, though his armor, staff, and necklace are slightly warm to the touch. Additionally, there are enough arms and armor amongst the dead to arm a fair sized raiding party.
In the southern portion of the room are two horses, with tack and bridle. the northeastern wall holds a door.
1,372 xp. This does not include any of the equipment value.

wow! That could be awhile, and he has like 4 Hit points! Stay in the back Pettry!
Andre Girard |
Andre whistles as they count up the haul they've gathered from ending the threat Lareth posed. "Now that's a pretty copper," he says, quite impressed by the amount of weaponry and other items of value. "I'm not sure we'll be able to carry everything back to town, but we might be able to tie everything onto one of the two horses and walk it back."
Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |
Pettry should look over the items that may be magical or above normal quality. Perhaps the thieves ... um, rogues should see what the gems are worth.
Anselth what type of bow did the leader have? And are there any arrows from the combatants?
Sir Galavaine of Verbobonc |
"Halfling luck doth serve us well." Sir Galavaine looks around to see if anything needs doing then shrugs and follows the paladin with a grin. The tension of the fight begins to ease and that feeling of being a follower is novel.
Sallandrya Iramine Thainel |
As the group piles into the room behind Podo, they see a richly appointed room with lush carpets and wallcoverings. On the northern wall, Gnobby finds a small cabinet.

Anselth |
Salla, it is a composite longbow, not magical. He does have 16 arrows left.
Pettry tells Sallandrya, "I can, but it would take some time. It would be best for me to do so when we are finished exploring."
Gnobby opens the cabinet after finding no traps on it. Inside is a fine necklace studded with opals.
Podo Bumbleroot |
Podo is busy playing dress up again, girding himself in finery. And in his best refined noble voice replies to Gnobby's statement.
"Oh Really, my dear boy". "It appears that you're still little to me". He then throws a handful of silver on the rich bed coverings, making darn sure he knows how many, and where each landed. "Someone bring me some eggs...large rotten ones preferably".
