Yup. It would be just the sort of thing Fia would do though. Like I said, crazy, way too overconfident, Aiel woman. lol
How do you mean Rizzen? To lift them both without bothering to break the leash?
Fiallain Bo'airr |
Sounds dangerous. What if one falls?
Also, you would be a great addition to the circle with your power rating, so it's best if you are near us next turn :)
"Life is but a dream from which we must all wake eventually". :P I agree though. With Fia's acrobatic skills, I'm not worried so much about losing balance, but more about the matron's turn coming around and the bridge suddenly not being underfoot anymore. Not to mention the possibility of ending up switching places with Ryvin, if she did make it across.
That leaves just the fireball to work with, and from what Fia saw with Rhoekk's arrows at the matron pair, it looks like Ryvin would take the damage from her suldam as well? I suppose I could target it to exclude the suldam, assuming this is still what we want to do.
How long is the leash anyway? I'm assuming it's pretty short.

Actually, I've checked the book, and it a metallic rope like leash. So I guess the hardiness and hp of a chain apply. Meaning, it will require a pretty strong fireball, which might kill Ryvin if it hits both her and her suldam.
So I guess this part of my plan is out.
In that case, maybe we should wait for the link, and then advance on them. You can delay your action to be first next round, then Tesliin, you and I can link together right away. The three of us can shield the matron, so Alathea will be able to channel independently of us.
I suggest you lead, because you have the same bonus as me, but better saves in case we are attacked, and more weaves left. Me and Tesliin already used high level weaves while you didn't.

One second. Joliar has Immolate, so he can actually destroy the leash without causing Ryvin significant damage. Joliar, if you are up to the task, you and Fia together can slip Ryvin out of there, you can even act at the same time to avoid the Suldam doing anything. Thus, if Joliar destroys the leash, then Fia floats Ryvin out.
Litheene |
I think we're going to wish Tesliin had plugged up those air-holes and let that pair fall unconscious...
Could've killed her. She takes double the Suldam damage plus her own. Plus, now that she can't move, a ward agains the power is as good as a master ward. And she would cut it anyway, just like she would have cut the master ward around her, or anything that would've threathened her life. With her bonus it's not an issue for her, just a delay.
It's much harder to fight damane than shadowfriends. If she was a black sister, she would have been probably dead from rending and immolations by now :)
Litheene |
Plot/DM device FTW :). Well, at least now we have a round to link. Interesting that she knows invert though, I think we should make contact with her.
If so, Joliar - you are most welcome to destroy Ryvins leash (which connects collar to bracelet) with Immolate. It should cause her minimal damage as it's small. Then we can bring her to us.
Plus, Seanchan usually (wrongly) think that the leash in necessary, so if her Suldam is not very experienced, this can freak her out.
Litheene |
LOL
For the sake of protocal, this whole fight started with our attempt to save her (also my Suldam is there, but that's besides the point :) ). Including me personaly spending a considerable effort for her release and protection.
I'm just saying - I already know how to invert, but was forbidden from teaching it. This is a good oportunity to spread the knowledge around. Personaly, Litheene will be interested where she learned it to begin with. It's a rare thing to know. The Amyrlin knowing it was surprising, but it wasn't my place to investigate her. Litheene doesn't know that other women except for Egwene can be the source of this secret. If this one knows invert, from Litheene's view point and world knowledge - she is either working as Egwene's special operative (which makes her a valuable ally), or there is another source of knoweldge regarding the one power, which is yet unknown to her, and as a brown, obviusly she'll be glad to learn about it.

To answer the dm's question in the play thread, I think Litheene suggested Fia lead the link. I am fine with that, but will point out that Fia has 2 fewer caster levels than anyone else. Her highest weave is lvl 4 of which she has 1 remaining now, 4 lvl 3s remaining and on from there. I am not sure how that compares to the others, so If someone is currently better equipped, she can lead against the matron. Just let me know.
Otherwise, I guess it is Fia, Rizzen.

Been thinking about this, and i am making a change to the initiative structure for the game.
Although i will still continue to roll for initiatives, just to be able to track who is involved and for spell effects and what not, for combat purposes, YOU, the PCs, will be considered to go first, and then the NPCs will go second.
what does that mean?
All PCs will have their actions first, so there is no more waiting for me or another to post before you are able to post. Instead, post what you wish your PC to do, and the other pcs can act accordingly.
an example,
Ryland, Fia, and Tesliin are squaring off against some whitecloaks.
For initiative, ryland and fia get 20, the whitecloaks get 17, and tesliin gets 16.
In the old way, ryland and fia would be able to act, and then the whitecloaks would act, forcing tesliin to wait until I, the DM, have posted for the whitecloaks.
In this new way, Although the initiative is spread out, ryland, fia, and tesliin can post their actions quickly, then i will post the NPC actions, and also make a summary of combat.
This should speed up the combat process.

Sorry, was away for a day while having a birthday :)
Anyhow, I suggested Fia, because she has better defenses than the rest, and the leader must maintain concentration if we are attacked. Plus, FIa, you have a tie for the best Composure bonus, which is needed for the shield. Weave levels won't matter much here, as it will be too strong for the matron to overcome. Plus, you have the Angreal, and can overchannel another one level without fear.
P.S. about the initiatives - sounds good.

Happy Birthday!
Also, I think I'm still having the same issue Rhoekk mentioned. Everythin posted since the website maintenance still shows as 'new'.

Just a heads up that my PC decided to stop operating as normal today. I hope to get it up and running over the weekend (not 100% sure what's wrong, but I have a friend who knows abit). It should only minimally impact the games I play in, as I can post from my iPad (just takes longer to draft a post). Just wanted to give a heads up on it.

Rizzen prompted me and at this point I'm gonna have to withdraw from the game. I haven't been able to keep up with things and while I've enjoyed lurking and popping in occasionally, I can't devote the time and it's not fair to keep dragging this along for the DM trying to keep things going with my character. Thanks to everyone for playing with me all this time and also huge thanks to those of you from my original game that made the transition over. It's been a joy to play with all of you.

Ditto. Sorry things are drawing you away Jonasty. Life is like that sometimes. I enjoyed getting to play with you, both as a DM and a fellow player. Hope you'll find your way back someday. Good luck!
