To get Hallf in the game, Sirhan will head back to clydwell, but he will not be happy because they. Are in sight of their goal.

Peitry would want to go on but would concede pretty easily to heading back to give a proper burial if anyone would be inclined to convince him (looking at you Sigmund) so I vote B on that assumption.

Okay, holidays over and it seems we have a majority wanting to head back. I'm going to try to get this game rolling again. Can I get a rollcall to make sure I didn't lose anyone over the holidays? I'll put a gameplay post up within the next couple days.

Here

Here. Done with level up except for new spells but I'm getting a little confused around my HP. How did we do that again?

btw. Jelani:
How do you handle new spells for a wizard leveling up in a prestige class? RAW the prestige class doesn't have the spellbook class feature so technically they shouldn't get new spells unless they pay for them in gp but all GM's I know hand wave that rule as it favors the sorcerer (spells known) to heavily.

Wanted to ask so as not step on any toes.

Here, hope everyone had a merry Christmas.

Peitry - Half hit dice + 1 + Con mod. I've always read those kind of prestige classes as giving spells per day and spells known from the base class and that's it. So you can learn the two spells as normal for a wizard.

Looks like we're just missing Crissor. I should have time to type up a gameplay post tomorrow.

So a quick question will this put us on par with the other group heading to the Fortress of the nail. Just wondering if this will make it more of a race or put them ahead or us.

Well, they will probably come out ahead. Assuming they don't also get their asses kicked and need to go back. The Fort of the Nail is no playground. They are 5 days ahead of you all, that means if you travel through previously cleared land it might be possible for you to get there and back in five days. They are right behind you guys geographically, they are just five days in the future.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Please note I've jiggered with equipment a little giving up 2 pearls of power and 500gp for a ring of sustenance. Can I also get a ruling on how much Bamph would weigh? He's going to be pretty slow so I'll probably carry him often - drop him with immediate action featherfall if needed. I'm thinking about 3000lbs or so, based upon Rhino weights.

Cheers. Done with leveling, I took Black Tentacles and Shout as 4th level spells.

Still feeling out personality a bit, but I think I'm going to go with self aware and nihilistic, but more as a product of events than natural tendencies. Essentially he was an emotionally healthy fellow who has had some terrible stuff happen to him, and will probably recover his cheer if he can regain a place in the world. He's intelligent, and wise, but barely fluent in common, so it might not seem like it, and used to spending a great deal of time alone.

Hi guys, glad to see this is still running. Glad to see. Not many homebrews have as strong a story and good maps like this one does. I''ll lurk cause it's a great read.

Hope everybody had a great new year.
Where is Crissor?

I'm here Jin, posting in a bit.

Male Elf Hexcrafter Bladebound Magus 6, Init+3, F8/R6/W8+2vs Mind Effecting,AC19/T14/FF16, 45/45HP

I liked Drenzen, but the new Druid build is pretty freakin awesome.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

I liked Drezen to, but Hallf is a great deal more versatile I think, and he has action economy on his side. Its a real shame you weren't able to continue with Jin, his fight with the fighter lady inspired me to make a Magus that I'm now running in another PBP.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Some more tinkering I'm afraid, I've dropped the alternate racial trait to get my bonus feat back - otherwise I'd have had to leave off power attack until 9th level and choose between it or vital strike - and gone back to the animal companion I originally wanted. I was trying to avoid Trex because Cinderfang has one, but heck I'm a dinosaur shaman I want a trex! Plus you know what's cooler than a trex....? Two of the magnificent bastards! Hmmm, maybe I'll make mine a female :) I've also jiggered with my items a bit.

I like raptors, but t-rexs are cool too. I've never played a druid in PF, but Cinderfang always makes me want to. He's badass. I hope Hallf turns out the same.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

He'll be the first I've run, just been making the build up with the thought of posting it in the Guide to the Builds thread, since they only have a couple of rather oddball druids currently. I was worried I would feel neutered after the druid love in 3.5, but I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing, hopefully it will play well - the awesome stats certainly help.

For the future, I'm going to lend Crissor a use of my Extend Rod so he can have Wartrain mount going for 10 hours/day. That will definitely improve our effectiveness, because losing rounds in combat just sucks.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Edited. Its interesting and potentially very useful that weapons against evil does not seem to exclude natural weapons, while things like magic weapon and weapon of awe have specific exclusions.

Yeah I noticed that as well when I was casting it. It lacked the natural weapons exclusion clause, so I figured I'd ask and put in conditional actions if allowed. It definitely becomes more useful when you can buff the mount / animal companion / wildshaped druid / dogface oracle as well as the regular weapons. It only gets over DR 5, so if these things are DR 10, then its a pretty glow and nothing else.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Out of curiosity how would you rule the Babau's protective slime works during grapple? I was thinking how I'd deal with these guys and decided I'd probably summon a huge crocodile and have it charge grapple. I'm guessing it would get a heaping help of acid damage, but it ought to be able to absorb that pretty well and grapple no longer opens you up to auto sneak attack as far as I can see. I don't like its chances of making a DC 33 concentration check to teleport away, Hallf would only make it on a 19. Hmmm, the concentration might only be 29 though, as it does not appear the bonus to CMB from grab would apply to the concentration check, which is a little odd.

They would take acid damage as described by the babau's ability, and otherwise nothing would change.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Good to know, it just seems like bear hugging an acid covered demon ought to cause more damage than just punching him, lol. But then I guess necessarily a lot of the rules favor balance over versimilitude.

Very true that's why I took it but I think I may have to try it on a new horse....kinda oops but in had to be done IC.

If you had made the ride check it would have been a good idea. Might as well buy a warhose through. They're not that pricey.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Well it depends how often they get eaten doesn't it? ;) Of course you could wait a bit and ride a trex, Yarra has a saddle, and Hallf won't be riding her, on the other hand her speed will only be 40ft with longstrider, plus she'll be getting stuck in in combat. If anyone can suggest a way to bump her speed up with long duration, I'd appreciate it, I'm stumped, Allosaurus's are faster, but just not as good. I was planning to carry her while flying, either with ant haul, or using the Carry Companion spell.

Sorry for my slow posting rate recently guys. Things have been a bit busy around here with the start of the semester. I'll make an effort to post sooner, so as not to keep holding the game up.

Male Human (Kellid) Saurian Shaman 7 (HP 75/75; AC 18/12/14; F+11/ R+7/ W+12; Init +4; Perception +24)

Awwww man, I wanna fight the neat demons.

There's plenty more out there. Don't worry. I have to be careful with my application of them to avoid TPKs though. At least until you guys level up several more times.

Oops misread post. Sigmund wasnt in the radius.

Sigmund, I'll let you spend a hero point to change one of your prepared spells to Daylight.

Otherwise you guys should probably run like hell for the wardstones. This things only CR 7, but with half the party unable to see it you're screwed. Not to mention it's spell-like abilities are pretty nasty.

The border is only 200 feet away.

Remember we're all hasted, Tjonin too.

Again I might be overreacting. I didn't realize that Peitry had dispel magic (even though I looked to check that, somehow missed it). Also Crissor just had some badass rolls. I just don't want you guys to die.

And with some fair rolls we should roll this up ;P

@Jelani; Now that we can see the thing are you offering up another knowledge (plains) check?

The first one was assuming you could see it. I guess I didn't really make that clear. If anyone is trained and hasn't tried yet they can.

Ok, better to ask stupid questions than be stupid right :P

It wasn't a stupid question. :)
