The good news is we have a DM who does damn good maps. I have only 1 other who puts in as much effort and it adds a lot to the game.

I sent Rogarson a message several days ago about his low level and quality of posting and he hasn't responded yet. I'm assuming he's dropped out of the game, but we'll give him another day or so to respond. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that you're likely down a man after this fight.

Do these birds have some form of DR? Jin and Crissor have done over 100 HP and my +4 weapon overcomes most DR.

Jelani; Can I use Versitile Evocation on a scroll?

Versatile Evocation (Su): When you cast an evocation spell that does acid, cold, electricity, or fire damage, you may change the damage dealt to one of the other four energy types. This changes the descriptor of the spell to match the new energy type. Any non-damaging effects remain unchanged unless the new energy type invalidates them (an ice storm that deals fire damage might still provide a penalty on Perception checks due to smoke, but it would not create difficult terrain). Such effects are subject to GM discretion. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.

@ Jin - Yes, they do. I described in a couple places how the weapons looked like they were doing less damage than they should or bouncing off or whatever. At least I thought I did.

Waiting on Sirhan. He hasn't posted since monday. It's late for me right now and I'm already DMPCing Rogarson. If he doesn't post by the time I get off work tomorrow morning I'll act for him. It's just really time consuming to write combat posts where I have to DMPC multiple people so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

I can step in for him if you like.

Just letting everyone know that I'm gonna be on vacation from the 27th-6th. I'll have access to the internet, but I probably won't have much posting time.

Right, if we survive this I'm willing to change my planned progression and take Craft Wand next level if you guys are willing to pitch in for creating wands of endure elements and other utility spells we're going to see a lot of use for.

I am also considering ways to be more useful since Demons are resistant to all my energy spells.

Seriously considering the demon hunter feat next level.
+2 Knowledge vs demons
+2 Morale to attack vs demons
+2 Vs Spell Resist vs Demons

Just to be clear, that only works on things with the demon subtype. Nothing you've fought so far has actually been a demon. But that feat would be very useful later when you get further into the wastes. Spell penetration and the ability to change what type of damage your spells do is going to be also very helpful.

Any chance DM of allowing this to work on Dur Dagnir, if I get him a Wyroot handle? If not I'll just get a pick.

Main difference is the pick would be for CdG.
On the Scimitar it would work during combat.

I'm all for picking up a sixth member, a roguish type or a tank. But I still agree we're still a viable group but considering the hell we've been through in this short trek I think a sixth member is the smart thing to do.

I think a Cleric for a sixth member might not be a bad idea, because though Sirhan can heal he is a Combat Oracle.

I can open up recruitment again for a sixth member if you all like. However you'd have to go back to the keep to get them if that's what you wanna do.

We are headed that way anyway.

I'm giving you guys final say on who gets picked, so keep an eye on submissions in the R. thread and discuss them here. Once at least 4/5 are agreed on which of the approved submissions to select I'll let them know.

A mendeven priest of gorum. Looks pretty good.

I'd like to wait. I'm actually rather interested in the proposed bard. Group buffing coupled with healing abilities and a host of goodies. I love bards.

Doomed Hero is a solid player. He wrote the guide to PBP, and I really enjoy playing with him. Still gonna let you guys choose, just throwing in my 2 cents.

Drezen Silver looks awesome though. Nice selection of spells and abilities going on there.

We are in a bit of a spot.

A bard offers more buffing and skills. (Besides me we don't really have a stealthy guy)

A cleric offers better magic vs demons and condition removal and would likely be more 'tanky'

Cleric is the uber-class, I know, let's just wait and see what comes up. No rush right? We can give this a day or two at least.

Right now I just want to see what people come up with, one thing I saw in the equipment of Drezen that we might want to pick up is some Cold Iron weapons as well as some silver just of good measure.

I have multiple cold Iron Weapons.

Didn't go with Silver. Mostly because when I arcane pool Dur Dagnir to +4 via arcane pool it overcomes DR Silver any way.

Couldn't hurt to carry a Silver War hammer I guess.

I need to pick up at least a cold iron heavy mace, and maybe a silver one as well. My bite is the only cold iron weapon I have. But next level I will be able to create them with a revelation

I have several Cold Iron Arrows.

But I think some cesti would be nice for melee.
