You said that it is wooden latticework, are there railings? If so, I will use them to help keep me from falling.

Do the hooded figures respond to Urgo's call at all?

Lantern Lodge

Male

They do in fact, they wait for Urgo and Bel to make it across the bridge and then breathe a puff of poisonous fumes at the two warriors.

Is there any clue that they are not friendly? Do they respond at all? Can we see movement under their robes? (Such as wings moving?) Body language?

Er, would we not roll initiative first? We were all aware of the hooded figures and waiting with readied weapons, watching for any sign of hostility- wouldn't we get a chance to act? Just seeking clarification on the sequence of events and how combat is being initiated.

Lantern Lodge

Male

Sorry, they did not respond to Urgo's call and there was no movement, they merely turned and breathed out the noxious fumes. If you would have shot as soon as they turned please tell me now. If not, they get the surprise round as described.

I wouldn't have fired just from them turning around, unless perhaps an Insight roll would clue me in from body language that they were moving with hostile intent. But otherwise, I'd have held my arrow. Should I be rolling initiative now?

Lantern Lodge

Male

Yes.
