That solemn business done her short legs scurry her back around the bend assist Kartoss with his attack!

Kartoss darts forward, inclined to do battle. He lashes out with fist and foot but the creature dodges aside.
Rurik moves forward and casts Sacred Flame (I ignored the Readied action because Kartoss blocked the creature's entry into the room) Dex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 As a favor, please include the DC for all spells so I don't have to look them up But the creature dodges the Sacred Flame.
Bad Guy claws at Kartoss 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 but Kartoss is a wily combatant and dodges the attack.

Kara conjures a massive ball that isn't so much on fire as it is angry that everything else isn't also currently also on fire. Then she throws it at the ghoul.

Now seeing the creature, Davin takes careful aim and fires at the creature.

Assuming we take a short rest, Vakase does the following.

As things have quieted down and the group finds a safe place to briefly rest, Vakase meditates in silence with her hood up and her head down.

She feels the presence of her patron, the Raven Queen as she briefly glimpses the shadow realm that overlays the natural world. She feels her magic grow and change.

When she finishes her meditation, there's a sound of flapping wings and the caw of a raven coming closer as Elsa flies up and perches on her shoulder.

Just let me know what you guys want to do? You were sent down here to investigate what caused the tower's collapse...and you stumbled upon the old Canteclure Treasury. You could potentially find a spot and set up a camp down here and take a long rest, or you could go back and report what you've found. (Also take note there's a tunnel that's been recently made that you have yet to check out)

I vote long rest, refresh spells and ensure we're as prepared as we can be for the next leg. We could use some of the stuff here to build a barricade of sorts over the tunnel we've yet to explore.

I heartily concur that forthwith we should commence as to engaging in the pursuit of some useful ambulations. Oh, wait, I mean:

Kara keeps chasing Davin, trying to pull his pants down. "What? You said you wanted trousers down! I specifically heard that so...let's see it."

After 15 minutes, regardless of the outcome, she lays down and is instantly in an exhausted sleep.

Kartoss wakes in the morning at about 4 am and does a regimen of 100 knuckle pushups, 100 situps, 100 crunches, and 100 squats. He then meditates while the rest of the spellcasters are gathering their power, and is ready to go when they are.

She pulls her dress on then goes in search of her underwear. When that glorious quest is completed she pulls out a greasy breakfast biscuit and offers one to Davin. "A spelunking we will go?" she says with wink that can only be called salacious.

Still munching loudly, she nonchalantly follows Hack down the spooooky tunnnnnnnel.

Well, I was asking for some indication of "where" you were gonna take the long rest and "what types of things were you going to do to make sure you aren't murdered in your sleep". Taking a long rest isn't just something I'm willing to handwave in the middle of a dungeon crawl.
