Jadger Josser |
Jadger makes an impassioned plea as the fires around him glow brightly illuminating the place, the warmth of his voice carrying forward.
"Give us those papers and come join us at the Society, Atone and be free from the grasp of Cheliax! The society will make sure that those papers will plague no one no more! We at the Pathfinder Society care not for such a thing and maybe by this first step could your crimes be greatly reduced instead. What say you?"

Tchucko |
Tchucko staggers to his feet and begins to straighten his feathers.
He turns to Jadger with a look of some surprise when the gnome suggests that Celeena join the Pathfinder Society.
"You're a kinder bird... I mean man... I mean gnome than I am. But I guess you're right - on the scale of evil scheming, this one has to rank pretty low. And she certainly would be more welcome fighting on my side than against it in the future."
He then turns to Smiley and pats him on the shoulder.
"Thanks for pulling our feathers out of the fire there, my lucky dwarf."
GM Andrew |
Seems to be a consensus to let her go.
As long as you can promise that my name as a Deckland will not be ridiculed, I may be willing to help your cause, but even with my magical abilities I have no real spirit to adventure. If the Society can come up with an agreement with me, I may be able to help them out where I can, but as a tarnished daughter of a noble not sure where I could help. I'm willing to try, though, if it leads to a better life for me. I... I would like to head home to Cheliax as soon as possible, though. But will be sure to reach out! You are very kind for even considering that!
Conclusion time!
You bring the documents back to Venture Captain Drandle Dreng. Of course, it's day time now and he's asleep, but Ambrus Vaslin is there to take the papers, and thanks you for getting those documents out of the hands of those who wish to do harm to Absalom.
The Society send several members who are experts at cataloging and consecrating to collect information and restore the crypt to a manageable status.
And here's a little wrap-up I have prepared for those curious:
- The two Devils Claws from the first battle escape with their lives and go on to other mercenary teams.
- Janks (the leader of the Devils Claw unit here) was actually the murderer of the Pathfinder from the introduction.
- Janks is dead. As you leave, you notice that his body has set off that trap you found before, and an axe is now in his side. You could guess (correctly) that the other mercenaries might have "dropped him off" on the trap.
- The two Devils Claw that talked to you in the basement, the more talkative one ends up taking over Janks's position as leader.
- If anyone were of the Sovereign Court faction, she would be a perfect candidate for some of those goals as a noble. In fact, it was the old Taldor faction mission to recruit her for Taldor! This is why I had her respond at the end the way I did too.
That's it! Thanks for the great table! Chronicles up soon.
