Michael, you've lost probably Uslad the Grumpy (dwarf crossbow gunslinger) from the original left-overs list. The character showed up in another PbP game with a character of mine on Sunday. I'm not sure if the Uslad's player is planning on diving in with another character. I'm sending him a quick post in the other thread to find out.

Any plans for Murderer's Mark after this? It was sort of my objective to play Rilia in that eventually. Gotta get her leveled up to her sweet spot as a bard 2/Cleric (of Calistria) X. You know a clever cleric with some skills. ;) Right now she stands at 2 xp.

That was an unfortunate incident...it's good to hear that Shonne managed to avoid further such incidences... Willem has been looking for more work, but his time working directly for Lady Morilla has kept him busy.

Speaking of, is it table variance or a straight rule that you can only use Perform, Craft or Profession for the Day Job roll? Willem would probably use his Diplomacy when he's not working for the Pathfinders.

Is there an opening in this one? I have a level 1 character I'd like to bring.

Without a vanity (there's one that allows you to make a Sleight of Hand check for instance) that's pretty much it.

Day Job wrote:

Not every Pathfinder works for the Society full time. Some are trained artisans, professionals, or performers and earn extra gold on the side, between missions. During these times, you can attempt a trained Craft, Perform, or Profession check to see how much extra money you earn—this is called a Day Job check. In the Pathfinder Society campaign, you may make one Day Job check after the end of each adventure. Certain Vanities (Pathfinder Society Field Guide 60) allow you to further modify your Day Job rolls, or even let you use skill ranks from other, more specialized skills like Heal or Sleight of Hand as Day Job rolls.

Permanent bonuses from equipment, feats, racial bonuses, and traits affect your Day Job check as they would any check for the rolled skill, but temporary bonuses such as those granted by spell effects, other than crafter’s fortune, do not contribute, as the duration over which the Day Job check is made is undefined and represents a longer amount of time than a spell’s duration would permit the bonus to remain. You may take 10 on a Day Job check, but you may not take 20 nor can you aid another....

And while it would be nice to say that Shonne has not had to ready a trip or grapple attempt to avoid having her recent companions not attempt to dive through an obviously trapped hallway with a -7 jump check penalty or have to follow them into magical darkness to find the two derro torturers with there poisoned crossbow bolts, (Shonne the last person standing after 30 rounds alone of hide and sneak with a strength of 6 down from 16 thanks to poison, went unconscious having nicked the last derro down to about 3 hp) I am afraid sir that I cannot.

Looks like everyone has dotted in.

I downloaded the adventure and it seems fairly straight forward to run. I might start earlier than intended if everyone is ready.

As for Murderer's Mark, I hadn't planned to run it, but I might be able to be convinced if there is enough interest. I played it before, and as low level modules go, it wasn't my favorite, but not sure it that's the adventure itself, the GM, or both.

Might be a while. I'm GMing the Year of the Shadow Lodge special now, and plan to run something for a friend of mine afterwards, but possibly after that I'll pull out Silver Mount Collection or Technic Siege. I really want to run Technic Siege because I had a bad experience when I played it and would like to be a part of a more pleasant run of it. It looks like Kiddir has low-light vision, but not darkvision, so he may not be able to see the monster as I think it is dark where it is currently standing.

Is anyone holding a light source that would reach the creature with at least dim light?

Actually never mind, where it is standing currently it would be in dim light due to light coming from the streets above.

I'm curious how you would run the jumping rules in this case. If you run north on one side of the water, would that count as a running jump to the other side? Or does the direction jumped have to be in the same direction as movement just before?

If it does count, could you jump horizontally for 5 feet or would you have to jump diagonally for a 15 foot distance?

Liberty's Edge

Here is how I would run it.

Look at this image

The PC (blue X) moves along the black arrow and jumps at the end of that movement in one of two paths.

1. The horizontal green dashed arrow

This would count as a running jump as the component of movement in that direction (the horizontal dotted yellow line) is at least 10 feet long.

2. The vertical red dashed arrow.

This would NOT count as a running jump as the component of movement in that direction (the vertical dotted yellow line) is not at least 10 feet long.

I just realized that my chronicle/purchase tracking section of my character sheet in my profile isn't up to date since I played this character twice in person. I'll get those updates into my profile once I get home and have access to my paper sheets. He has no gear that affects his overall stats that he purchased in the last couple scenarios, but he does have a mostly full (if not full) CLW wand, although he can't use it. His last 2 chronicles are Twisted Circle and Between the Lines, both from season 7.

That's reasonable. Thanks. So in the tunnels, one would have to jump a diagonal of 15 feet and get 15 feet of movement to count as a running start.

Between her low strength and dexterity and her ACP, Nona will need help to get across, as she is -4 to both swim and acrobatics. I'll check what Katzu's encumbrance would be if he carried her, as he has better numbers for both skills.

My work schedule has me working sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening in five week stretches. Usually it shifts every five weeks. At present I'm continuing to work mornings, which should continue until mid-July. I work Monday through Thursday. So I will try to check and post before I go to work, around 5-6 AM (Eastern US time). But I can usually post by 3 PM and check in the evening as well. I can usually post through the weekend, as I only go out of town about once a month for occasional camping or trips.

I think Katzu moved only ten feet last turn. I thought that meant he would not risk further damage from the knives etc. Or did he move 15? I thought he was 2 squares west and 1 square north of his present position.

Liberty's Edge

He would have been encumbered dragging Kiddir and his base speed is reduced by half from his current wound. So his speed was 20 feet reduced to 10 feet. This means Katzu can move 5 and not risk stepping in more stuff or 10 and do take the risk. You only had a single move since you needed a move to pick up Kiddir.

I'll have to take another look when I'm home, but it doesn't make sense to me that you can move your full speed without risk.

Yeah, carrying an ally is pretty much always at reduced speed unless you are a barbarian with ant haul. You are either carrying them out and being encumbered by their weight, dragging them and being encumbered by their weight, or making a reposition against a willing subject which is basically a very slow and short ranged drag. Either way you're stepping on Legos and d4s the whole way.

Liberty's Edge

That being said, the scenario is specific about triggering on feet per round, so I'll change Katzu's up in the next update.

I didn't remember this being so rough when I played it, but I played it at Tier 4-5 with a level 4 cleric. The difference between 1-2 and 4-5 is that the jinkin is a level 5 sorcerer instead of a level 2 sorcerer and there are 2 advanced darkmantles rather than 1 standard one.

I think what likely happened is that the room went dark and then my cleric pulled out an oil of daylight.

Yeah, in tier 4-5 darkness is much easier to handle. At tier 1-2 without an Aasimar in the party you pretty much eat the 50% miss chance and inability to cast targetted spells.
