Gestalt Rules :
HP : Choose the larger hit die of the two classes. At all levels beyond first, this is 1/2 Hit Die (Round up) per level. 1d6 -> 4, 1d8 -> 5, 1d10 -> 6, 1d12 -> 7. First level is max pts.
Saves : Choose the best saves from both classes.
BAB : Choose the higher BAB from the two classes.
Skill Points : Choose the higher point total from the two classes. Class skills for either class are class skills.
Favored Class Bonus : Based only on the PC class you obtain, not the NPC classes you obtain.
Class Abilities : You gain the abilities from both classes based on your level in each class.
Weapon/Armor Proficiency : You gain all weapon/armor proficiency from all classes.
'Kong' Groder |
Kong stalks in, wearing full garb, and looks the place over. I feel...violence...in the air tonight. Best be prepared...
Kong takes a mental inventory of what would make the best weapons, in a pinch.
Jacob Friedrich Schönherr |
Just to clarify, we are only gestalting for the initial NPC levels, yes? I'd like my character sheet to either condense the initial 2 NPC levels into a one-time bonus or merge them into a per-level increase when we determine classes. Otherwise the sheet could get very messy.
Sterling "lumpy" Lumpkin |
Lumpy is seen walking and talking into his hands free headset. His brown hair was sculpted by a five hundred dollar an hour stylist. He raises his well manicured hand in a requesting gesture. Crown Royal neat. Thanks."
'Kong' Groder |
I'm thinking Kong's full gear is the rough equivalent of studded leather...cool?
mdt |
Nope, you will be gestalting at all levels. But one of your gestalt classes must be an NPC class. Think of it was a way to diversify your character some. Adept will be opened up at 3rd level for gestalting.
Neri Voler |
Neri looks slowly around, frowning slightly and covered in spandex. "Great. I'm lost."
Evelynn Kalnath |
This is the GM, would everyone please put the following in their alias's profile, it'll make it easier for me to have short-cut information about your character to make quick skill rolls and etc. Please replace all {'s with ['s.
In the Race Field (If you have an external character sheet) :
{url=<Link to Character Sheet>]Human HP (##){/url] {Spoiler=Stats]AC/Touch/Flat ##/##/## | Fort/Ref/Will +##/+##/+## | Init +##{/spoiler]
In the Race Field (If you do not have an external character sheet) :
Human HP (##) {Spoiler=Stats]AC/Touch/Flat ##/##/## | Fort/Ref/Will +##/+##/+## | Init +##{/spoiler]
In the Class Field :
{Spoiler=Skills]Skill ##, Skill ##, Skill ##, Skill ##, ... Skill ## {/spoiler] Class ##/Class ##
For the skills, just put in the top 8 or so.
If you don't want me to use your profile picture for your icon on maps, give me a link to the picture you would like me to use.
Neri Voler |
I'm cool with being paint.
Jacob Friedrich Schönherr |
Things should be set now.
'Kong' Groder |
I have my top 8 skills at this point...
mdt |
Sorry, I should have said, please make sure Perception is in the list as well. :) I'll be using that one a lot.
Waiting on the remaining people to check in before starting. Opening poses are all complete.
'Kong' Groder |
Ok, my sad +3 Perception is added. :p
Luna Rook |
I think I've gotten everything sorted out.
Lina Passgard |
This is what you get for sleeping huh? Sorting out my stuff now.
'Kong' Groder |
Sorry...it dawned on me after I'd posted that it might be that nobody could hear...if they can, I'll pull it out of the spoiler.
By the way...am I still in full gear?
mdt |
People can hear, yells echo off the walls and reverberate, no need to spoiler it.
People are in the clothes they were wearing when their intro ended. Held items are not in their hands (so no guitar for Kong, no briefcase for Lumpy.
'Kong' Groder |
Cool. Unspoilered. :)
'Kong' Groder |
Map access will be a problem for me, too.
'Kong' Groder |
mdt...you must be having a blast, watching us freak out. Great job. :)
Neri Voler |
I have a tendency... to get my characters into huge amounts of trouble. I mean, I know 'something bad will happen' or 'something good will happen' but my character has no idea. Strange situation, need money/valuables... grab the ruby that doesn't look like it could possibly be trapped.
This is my second RP as a player in a row, where my character was decommissioned within my first three posts. XD
'Kong' Groder |
Lol...I suppose. Over 100 posts in gameplay in less than a day!
mdt |
Sorry Kong, not trying to be difficult with you. There's reasons some people can take some gems, and others can't. And also why some people can pull take the gem painlessly, and others cry tears of blood taking them.
It will become apparent with time, just didn't want you to think I was giving you grief.
'Kong' Groder |
Lol...I actually get it. Not worried...and Kong may end up going through some pain...
mdt |
LOL, there's clues in the relief's about what the classes are. More importantly, there are clues about other things that also affect the suitability... If you look closely.. at least one rejection was not due to stats but personality... (granted, the latest was stats and not personality, my god was that a bad match stat wise).
'Kong' Groder |
Ok...you know...he's chaotic...letting the chaos flow. ;)
'Kong' Groder |
Lol...this game's a runaway. :)
Neri Voler |
I honestly thought the picture was either sorcerer or Palladian, to be honest. Possibly Oracle. All felt like they would hold be terrible fits for Neri, assuming his mural had to do with classes at all. Pleasantly surprised. And now scared for his sanity. :P
mdt |
LOL, well, there's only so many clues I can put in. If you look at all the classes, someone just walking around it's hard to take a picture of them and have it known what they are. A few are relatively easy, the rest kind of blend together. Fighter, Paladin, Cavalier are all pretty similar, for example. Cleric, Oracle, Summoner, Ranger, Rogue...
'Kong' Groder |
It's all good...I just figured I.had a lot of flexibility...so...
Not. :p
I'm happy, though. :)
Sterling "lumpy" Lumpkin |
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to make this alchemist viable. It would help to know what niche everyone else will fill.
A side question, why did the relief have a construct when alchemist can't take craft magic feats?
mdt |
Dev's are working on fixing that. Alchemists are actually listed in Paizo products as making golems. To do that, they need... craft construct. Since I like the idea of alchemists making things like, say Frankenstein (Flesh golem) or steampunk constructs (Gear Golem) as it's very thematically correct, I am perfectly fine with Alchemists taking Craft Construct (without the pre-reqs for Wondrous Item and Arms & Armor).
mdt |
Additionally, for purposes of general crafting, any infusion can be used as a component in crafting. So, if your alchemist knows Ant Haul, he can make an infusion of that (assuming he has the infusion discovery) and give it to a crafter to make Muleback Cords (as an example).
Sterling "lumpy" Lumpkin |
I can get into craft construct without prereq. That opens up avenues to me. Thanks.
If you can tell me if we have a healer. It would help in choices
