I'm planning to create an Arcanist for a Wrath of the Righteous campaign and downloaded the latest playtest pdf so I can get started. I then saw the blog update from a few days ago, with a couple new exploits listed and such, and was wondering if someone had created a sort of "updated" file that would be best to use for my character. Basically something where everything I need is all in one place so I can reference it when needed.
If not are the only changes made so far just the ones listed in the blog update or is there anything else I should be aware of?
Just the blog - which is a preview for the final version which will be in the book released in August.
You might want to check the Arcanist playtest thread, too, specifically the last page or so of posts. I know some of the other classes had some final thoughts by the designers as to some changes that would likely be made to the classes. I don't recall any offhand for the Arcanist, but you might check anyway.
Personally for now I would just hold off revising an arcanist (or any ACG class) until all the revisions are in print in the hardcover, or until the final version makes it onto the PRD.
Jason posted a few minor spoilers on the arcanist but nothing that's specific enough to change the class as is. That said, you'll probably see Charisma become more important and the arcane reservoir mechanic tweaked when the ACG releases.
One thing I'd suggest is to ask your GM to give you a free "respec" when the ACG is released - we don't really know exactly how the class will turn out, so having the option of rearranging your ability scores, picking different exploits or choosing other feats when you have the final product is a reasonable request.
