Locals from towns bordering the woods share terrifying tales of this haunted town, but the citizens of Perdition's Point would have you believe it's not so bad. But with the recent disappearance of two of the local children, the town is on edge. Who will step up and debunk the chilling mystery? And who was responsible for such heinous crimes?

Yep, sorry, I'm trying to get all caught up. Unexpected travel this week, I had to drive to Houston monday morning (3.5 hour drive, 8 hour work day), and was supposed to drive back today, but had to drive back home last night instead (8.5 hour day, 4.5 hour drive due to traffic), and back to work this morning. Posting now

Tanyasha is caught in the webs, looking angry at the webs that grip her.

Rylee growls and rips at Kjel again, blood sprays as the claws bite deep and expose muscle and tendons to light.

Attack - Bite: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 4 = 19
Attack - Claw: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 4 = 18
Attack - Claw: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 4 = 26

But it misses with it's bite, as it's teeth clash on Kjel's armored calf. The claws also scrape off the same piece of armor on the other leg. But the third claw swipe hits flesh just above the knee, tearing into Kjel's thigh from behind.

Claw Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Bleed: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Almost as soon as the dog wounds Kjel, the red dust on him from the room with the skeleton bursts into growth, sucking more blood from his body to grow out in piles of fluffy red lichen.

The small dog skeleton again shakes off Lineera's burst of dark energy.

Tanyasha laughs, and then her body seems to drain of mass, shrinking in on itself, collapsing down until she vanishes, the webs she's caught in hanging limp as her body vanishes.

Lineera, still looking at the skeleton dog, see's a reddish tendril move out into her line of vision. As her head slowly turns around, she sees that Tanyasha is now directly behind her. The woman's face is inches from hers. "Try that again, b*+@#..." The undead plant woman says with a hiss.

Eva pulls an alchemist's fire from her belt, unstoppers it, and pours some of the liquid on the wound where the vines are burrowing. Fire flares up and she cries out, but the vines appear to have been killed.

-1 HP fire damage

Mahb moves toward where Tanyasha has reappeared, and tries to Evil Eye the woman to reduce her saves.

Will Save DC 16: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

But Tanyasha shrugs off the lasting effects, and is only affected for one round.

Rylee whines and does a dodging run away from Kjel and Riley, avoiding them as much as possible by jumping over the prone and writhing Eva.

It looks almost like a trained circus dog as it bounds around. Once it reaches Lineera, it growls and bites at her.

Mahb attempts another evil eye on Tanyasha, this time to reduce her attack.

Tanyasha grins, and adjust 5ft, cutting Lineera off from the rest of the group. Those shark teeth seem to fill Lineera's vision and then the horrible thorned vines whip into the stairwell, slashing at Lineera.

Lineera let's out a bloodcurdling scream as the vines slash through her body, impaling her front to back, then she collapses on the stairwell, sliding down several steps. "Leave my dog ALONE!" The plant woman hisses with feeling.

There's a sudden flash of purple/black energy near the altar, and voices echo ghostly through the room.

"Luther! Watch out! It's spewing acid!" A woman's voice

"Scath! Scath! Are you ok?" Another woman's voice

<Buzzsaw sound of something animal>

"Alexis! Don't do it! You don't know what will happen!" A man's voice, it sounds pained

<Sound of something crashing>

Where the altar is, a sudden round portal opens, showing the same room, but as in a mirror darkly. A humanoid in a dark pointed mask stumbles back, a lynx attached to it's throat from behind, blood spraying as the claws rip open said throat.

A heavily muscled man is in the process of ducking a spew of acid from some sort of undead plant creature as he slams his fist into it's spine, sending bones shattering out in a spray of chips and shards.

A red-haired woman with a haughty expression drives a glowing sword into another masked humanoid, her features twisted in anger.

A half-orc is in mid leap, a heavy axe buried halfway through another undead plant creature, acid sizzling on his chest and face as he screams through the pain.

A human man with a sword lies wounded, his arm bent at an odd angle, but a humanoid in a mask lies dead next to him, it's head severed.

Finally, a woman stands over the shattering shards of a familiar black statue. She steps back as if in slow motion, and her hand comes into contact with the portal. If the portal was a mirror, it's now projecting it's reflections into the room, the woman splits into two women, mirror images of each other, one looking deeper into the mirror world, another in the room with Kjel, Eva, Lineera, Riley and Mahb.

Then the world seems to come crashing back down into a normal pace of time, and the portal snaps shut, leaving the mirror double staggering.

Our new arrival is in 'dump shock' this round, and may do something next round. Everyone else is up.

What in seven heavens happened? The woman was indeed in shock, as everyone could notice when she gazed the room slowly, absorbing the scenario. She tilted her head to one side at seeing two partially known figures there, but still did not understood what was going on.

She does seems like someone you once knew in Perdition's Point, but it cannot be her, as she was confirmed dead, was she not? It could be the same woman, were not for the scars and the aura of power around her, as the Alexis Carevin you knew, mother of one of the children who were kidnapped, was weak and got cut to several pieces when Perdition's Point was first attacked by monsters. This was not the same hopeless woman you knew, no. Anyone could see determination in her face, to the point of fearing it.

Alexis looks behind her once more, but the statue and the portal are gone, and unspoken fears old forgotten return to her mind once more. If it's not her, it's certainly a twin, and there's definitely something wrong as the confused woman asks a question to no one in particular: "When am I?"

A whiplike vine snakes out to try to rip Kjel, but it is deflected by his shield. Then Kjel's axe slams into the dog, and bones crack and shatter, and the dog collapss in a pile of bones and vines. Tanyasha screams in anger, and turns her glowing eyes on Kjel. "YOU DIE NOW!"

Well I forgot to account for bless when I threw that bomb at her, but I still doubt a 10 would have hit.

Eva, skin pale and barely conscious, fished out her healing infusion as she heard Lineera scream. She glanced that way worriedly, trying to not draw attention to herself more than she had too in her weakened state. As the black energy formed near the altar, her attention focused there as she downed her infusion. It was in shock she stared. One hand around her bloody middle, tears escaped to fall down her face. She had seen the remains. 'It can't be... no... It's not possible. This has to be a trick! Some sort of trick! S-she c-can't be... It's the blood loss, it has to be! This is a mirage, a figment of my mind. An Illusion!' With her thoughts running around like squirrels on coffee and her voice quiet, full of emotion, and shock, she addressed the woman before her. "A-Alexis...?"

Cure Infusion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
I think all I can do is pull it out and drink it, but if I can stand up too, I'll do so. (And just fyi, these dice REALLY seem to hate me lately >.> 2 HP really!)

Dog is dead, unfortunately for Riley, the acrobatics check is too low to avoid AoO

Tanyasha whips out one whip and slashes at Riley as he closes.

AoO, Riley: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

However, he still manages to dodge the attack, the whip like appendage scraping off his leather armor and leaving gouges in it, but not in Riley. He then slams his weapon into Tanyasha, drawing a black/green blood from the woman.

The gorgeous woman finally gets a grip on what's happening and move into action, avoiding getting to close to Mahb and Eva, but still intending to stop the vine creature. "I knew you were involved in this, Eva!" She extends an outstretched hand towards the plant/half-orc/whatever that is and pronounces a sweet enchantment.
"You should rethink your way of living!"
Using Oppressive Boredom on the vine woman, Will Save DC 23 or take no actions for 4 turns (but it may attempt another save every turn).

Eva, pulled out of her shock, debates for only a hair of a second between healing and throwing a bomb. Oh she wanted to light that weed on fire so badly but she wouldn't survive another hit from those vines. Healing had to take priority first. Drawing the cure wand, she cast a healing on herself.

Not bothering with the staggered check, she already lost this round of actions, staggered or not. Plus, she is at 2 hp, so the next attack that lands kills her. No reason to extend combat for 2 hp with no chance of responding.

The plant woman struggles to overcome the lethargy forced upon her, but she is unable to resist as more attacks land, and she finally collapses into a pile of green black blood and broken plant like body parts.
