Its impossible to affect all of the goblins because Goblin E is further inside the hut and out of range. You would have to go right to the door which would result in an AoO. The other issue I see is the fact that there is no information saying whether it goes through wood. I will give the two possible Goblins a +1 to their saving throws due to partial cover since they won't be engulfed by the spray.

Works for me. I don't see it going through wood either. Line of effect works out, the frame and wall blocks some but not all of the spray giving them the cover. Makes sense.

Liu Na runs toward the wooden walkway connected to the hut that Jorland entered and vaults into the air...
DC 20 Acrobatics check to high jump 5 ft onto the boardwalk: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
... executing a flawless mid-air somersault and landing on her feet upon the walkway. With her fighting fans in hand she steps warily toward the door leading into the hut.

Liu Na uses her move action to run south, leap onto the walkway, and move east toward the door leading into the hut that Jorland entered.
IF THE DOOR IS OPEN: She will step within the doorway and take up a fully defensive stance (total defense action (standard action) to gain +4 dodge bonus to AC until her turn next round).
IF THE DOOR IS CLOSED: She will take up a fully defensive stance outside the door in case more goblins suddenly appear from the hut in front of her or from the other huts behind her.

A double move, please give me an acrobatic check because he literally fell in the doorway, blocking it. DC 17, you have Jorland, unconcious Goblin, dead Goblin and Goblin LT in your way. Or you can just stand over him but then you would be blocking Lina's attempt to stabilize him.

The only problem with bullrush is that you have to trample Jorland to do it. He is on the ground in the doorway blocking it. The unconscious goblin to the left behind the wall and the Lt. to the right and then there is the Goblin corpse that fell ontop of Jorland which leaves the area a bloody mess, literally. You can do an acrobatics check to land on the square Northeast of Jorland, if you succeed you don't trample him and you don't get hit by an AoO. If you fail you would do trample damage and get attacked by an AoO. Or you could Go next to Jorland and grab him and move him out of the hut. I do apologize if the brown representing the Lt. is difficult to see.

I uploaded the new map. Kalistrine was able to see the Goblin Lt. run out the door to the east and Goblin E left but noone had eyes on him when he took off. Goblin G is unconscious. You could kill him, wake him up to interrogate, just tell me what you guys want to do. We could leave combat rounds for now.


Liu Na opens the door to the hut and peers in to find that the goblins who ambushed Jorland have fled out a different door. Keeping a wary eye on that other door, the half-elf ninja moves quickly across the room to Jorland's fallen form.


Takeshi moves out of the way and Lina is able to cast cure light wounds on Jorland which leaves him at -2 hit points. Proudstump makes his way to Jorland and starts administering first aid 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 and stops the bleeding and stabilizes him.

He won't be bleeding no more, Lina couldya do some more magicy?

Haha, I'll certainly heal him again, but you didn't need to administer first aid. Any magical healing automatically stabilizes a dying person. Not that Lina would actually be offended at the help, and his instructions would actually be beneficial as she doesn't see so well and might not have been able to tell that he needed more healing.


Jorland is still down, you should concentrate on his left thigh.

After Jorland has been revived, he turns to the group, "Shall we pursue those goblins?"

Kalistrine slams the door after the Goblin flees. Leaning against it she prods her thigh where the Goblin slashed her and hisses in pain. "If anyone has some more healing magic, I think that bastard carved himself a cutlet off of me." she says.

Nice, I was unconscious for a whole week. Fascinating.

My eyes open. I groan as I sit up. "Ugh. What happened?" I look around. I pull myself to my feet and proceed to retrieve my weapons without a word. I then pull out a knife and proceed to harvest goblin ears and hearts.

Lina leans back and takes a deep breath as the combat seems to be over, for now. What a brute. Not even a thank you for saving his life...


Satisfied that Jorland is going to live for at least a few more minutes, Liu Na gives Lina's shoulder a friendly squeeze in thanks.

The half-elf ninja exits the hut and moves to pick up her shortbow from where she dropped it, all the while listening for the sound of more goblins about to attack from the deceptively silent buildings. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14.

"If Lina's out of healing magics we may want to make a strategic withdrawal for now," she comments to her companions.

I look at Liu Na quizzically. "Healing magics? What healing magics? Thought we came without?" I look at Lina. I point at her. "Your telling me this frightened little girl can heal? Why didn't she say so earlier?" I look at her and look at my injuries. "Ayes got pretty messed up back dere little lady, dun't suppose ye got any healin ye can spare?"


"If you'd been paying attention instead of lazing around bleeding your life out, you would've heard her say that she'd expended all of her healing magics - on you, I might add," Liu Na responds to Jorland's request, her sarcastic tone belied by the concern and relief for her friend evident in her expression. "So unless you can replace all of the blood you leaked out by cooking and eating a bunch of dead goblins, I think it might be best if we retreated to Proudstump's house to recuperate."

At Jorland's accusation, Lina exclaims, "I didn't know I had healing magic! All of this is happening to me without any explanation - I'm no cleric or priestess, I didn't ever ask for a lifetime of devotion, and I never studied at any magic academy. All I know is that somehow Desna's involved and that strange and magical things are happening all around me now, and that, yes, I suppose I have some sort of healing magic!" She scowls but allows a hint of a smile while Liu Na responds and nods. "I feel utterly spent. I'm sure I won't be able to do that again for awhile, but I'd be happy to wrap up your wounds if anyone's still hurt."

I look at Liu Na and then at Lina. It is evident I seem somewhat embarrassed. "Serry, must've been wacked harder dan I tought. I still hurt a lot even do I'm tryin ta igner it." I look at Lina understanding it was her who got me back on my feet in the first place. I give her a bow. "Sorry ye had ta waste yer healin on a lout like me but I am grateful ya did so all da same."

I look back at Liu Na. "Aye, pain seems ta be messin with my head quite a bit out here. Got careless an now whats become of it. Greenskins sure can be tricky. I agree recoup but returnin might be dangerous. We got two choices ways I see it. We make camp here, if we got da chief of dis tribe we should be safe, or we make for Proudstumps. I vote we stay an it seems Liu votes we go. Whats everyone else's toughts? I go with whatever ye a;; decide but know if dere be a tie I say we stay here." I wait for the others to respond.

We root 'em out now, or we go camp in the swamp, or back to Proudstump's place." She pulls herself from the door, limping slightly, and pulls it open slightly to peer out, looking to see if she can spot any more Goblins.

Proudstump walks into the hut and grabs the goblin securely with one hand under the chin and the other above the head and swiftly breaks the goblin's neck killing him instantly.

So... What's the vote? Liu Na's for going back to Proudstump's, and Jorland's for continuing against the goblins even though his guts are about to drop out onto the floor [/snark off]. Takeshi's still out of town. Lina? Kalistrine? Stay or go?

The house that Jorland got ambushed in has four windows that give a vantage point in the north, east, south and west direction but no beds. The house where the first goblins attacked from had enough beds for the group of you and windows looking over the village.

Proudstump says, "Well we know where the gobbers are, going back to my place isn't necessarily safe, we could get attacked by some other monster on the way and camping in the swamp isnt necessarily a good idea neither. i owe you guys for saving my life so you choose."

I nod at Proudstumps remark. "Dats what I'm thinking. I dunt tink we likely to make it te safety befer dark an I fer one am not fit ta travel less I absolutely hafta. Thus my vote. If y'all wanna risk the swamp ta get back ta a place faceless stalkers barge inta, den I'll tag along compliant." I await a final group decision.


It took us about an hour to get to the goblin village from the Soggy River Monster's lair. How long did it take to get to the Soggy River Monster's lair from Proudstump's house?

If we can't make it to Proudstump's before dark, we could try holing up in the northwestern-most building in the goblin village (where the goblins first attacked us from). If we do that I recommend we have two people on watch at all times.

On the way to Goblin Camp, 45 minutes to the point where the dead alligator was found, 30 minutes to Monster mound, lets say an hour total there with combat, planning, searching and all that fun, then 30 back. 1 hour 45 minutes to the edge of the Old Fish Trail and then another hour to the Goblin Camp. So in essence to get back to Walthus' you would normally 45 minutes + 105 minutes + 60 minutes which equals 210 minutes which is 3.5 hours, however, with Jorland and Kalistrine limping, it would increase the travel time by 25% to almost 4.5 hours.

We could camp out at the Soggy River Monster's lair. Any other creatures within miles are probably too scared of the Monster to approach that area.

To be honest if you were going to go that far, you may as well go to proudstumps. You would only get there 15 minutes earlier. Even then you would be traveling in the dark for about an 1.5 hours, there is most likely some sort of hindrance rule for trapsing in the swamp at night.

You pick up all of your equipment and retrieve any reusable arrows and also pick the dead goblins clean of any things. You do find one desnan candle and are able salvage five arrows, mostly taken from the quiver of the bow wielding goblins. Proudstump leads the march out of the marsh
