charging a hopping monster on fire who changes direct inadvertantly, i would say probably not, however he is within a five foot step from all of you. But he is blinded. Does that help

Male Human (Ulfen) Ranger(BeastMaster and Infiltrator) 2 Ninja 1 HP 24/24 AC 21 Touch 13 Flat 18 F +4 R +8 W +0 Int + 3 Per + 6

The ability to charge has little to do with the current condition of the monster. He could be grappled and still be charged. The main conditions of a charge are as follows: More than 10feet away from target, direct line to the target, no obstactles, and the terrain isn't difficult. Now since we are all five feet away, that there means no charge. I'm going to wait and see what some of the others do before I make my action.

Round One:

Seeing the creature blinded, Liu Na drops her bow behind her. With a flick of her wrist, her cold iron fighting fan drops into her hand and snaps open. Moving silently she slashes the weapon at the blind and burning creature.

Free action to drop bow. Swift action to retrieve cold iron fighting fan from spring-loaded wrist sheath. Standard action to attack creature - since the creature is blinded it takes a -2 penalty to AC and loses its Dex bonus to AC, making it susceptible to sneak attack. It must also make a DC 10 Acrobatics check to move faster than half-speed; if it fails it falls prone. Since we're all within 5 ft of the creature, I'm assuming that Liu Na is also able to flank the creature with one of her companions.

Cold iron Fighting Fan Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8 (includes flanking bonus)
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (6) = 10 slashing damage

Liu Na's AC: 16 (plus total concealment (50% miss chance) against blinded creature)
Liu Na's HP: 9/10

Proudstump takes out his knife and cuts off the ear of the burnt Soggy River Monster and gives it to the person who collects ears. "If I know the sheriff, you'll be needing proof."

After everyone is ready to depart, Proudstump leads you back to the New Fish Trail and then continues back to the Lost Coast Road. The trip along the Lost Coast Road is quick and uneventful. The hike continues to the southeast. The road circles around the edge of the swamp. It's not long before another trail heads off the main road and Walthus turns you down this one.

"This is the Old Fish Trail," Walthus tells you. "Although once upon a time it was just called the Fish Trail, but that was before there was a new one. It used to go all the way to Sog's Bay, and people used it for exactly what it was named for. They would go to the bay and fish there. But then the Licktoads put up their village right on the trail halfway to the bay. So fishermen found the New Fish Trail and now use that. Of course, even that one doesn't get much use any more, since the goblin threat has spread across the whole marsh.

"The Old Fish Trail has fallen completely out of use past the goblin village and has been swallowed up by the marsh now. However, the goblins still use this part of the trail, so it's still in good shape. It does mean we're going to have to be careful from here on. They'll have spies along it, and those spies will be hard to spot. Goblins are very good at hiding. They're pretty lousy at finding, but we'll be pretty obvious. If you have any defensive measures, you might want to think about preparing them. It'll take about an hour or so for us to reach the village, not counting any encounters we have with goblins or other swamp denizens."

The trail winds about in a southerly direction. It's not long before you reach another of the many tributaries of the Soggy River. At this point, it is very wide and Proudstump keeps his eyes peeled as you march across this bridge.

The trail turns to the west and winds through the marsh, occasionally passing through shallow ponds and streams. There are no further bridges though, so you have to wade through these sections. Eventually, the trail turns south again.

As Walthus predicted, after about an hour, you catch sight of what must be the goblin village up ahead. Proudstump, longbow in hand, puts up the raised fist to proceed with caution.

What you can see from this vantage point is that it's a crude and filthy village-fort sitting atop a low hummock of solid ground. A wooden palisade surrounds the village, broken on the northeast side by an algae-filled pool. Through there, you can see that the village consists of a collection of ramshackle huts connected by wooden walkways, all built on thick wooden stilts.

As you get closer, you notice a goblin body lying on the trail...and then another. There are several of them between you and the village. The way they lie face-down in the mud gives the impression that they were cut down while trying to flee something. You also notice that their ears are still intact. Amongst the goblin bodies, you spot a couple apparently human skeletons lying in pieces on the road. From this closer vantage, you can see that the front gate of the village lies in shambles on the ground. In front of it is a row of dead dogs that have been mounted on spikes, forming a gruesome entryway to the village. Beyond, the village seems quiet.

I found a map for the village, does anyone know how I can put it up here?
