Male Human Conjuerer 1

Orc bloodline gives him darkvision and light sensitivity.

Understood.

Putting me in the middle seems reasonable.

No worries. If I was on the other team I would be breaking the doors down and setting off traps :)

Yah, I'm hoping they're taking the same approach, actually .. and that it'll give us a heads-up when we get near them. Being able to fight on our terms could be key to this whole thing.

And hopefully that approach (if they're taking it) is going to slow them down a bit. But let's be honest, if even one of them is built for mega-strength (which is likely a safe assumption), bursting through doors is likely as easy (or easier) than disarming them. I guess we'll see.

Also guys, remember the rules of PvP damage targeting ... Focus fire. Focus fire. Focus fire.

I'll see if I can lock down whatever they have that looks like a mage, unless you have better ideas for me.

Male Human Conjuerer 1

I'll probably use a Rime Spell-ed Snowball on whoever looks like they're going to be the toughest for Jing to hit.

curious to see whats behind the other door :)

Record: 1 win, 0 personal kills

What other door? The one they're whispering about?

I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that. I meant curious to see what or whom is behid this door. :)

Gotcha. And yes, me, too. I'll be bummed if I've misread the situation or something.

: slow clap :

I realize the fight isn't over, guys, but seriously ... well done on the antipally!

Hey! New team, I have a few concepts I'm considering (in addition to Flik), so I'd love to hear what you're bringing in so I can complement.

Male Human Conjuerer 1

Pretty much same old, same old. I say stick with Flik, unless Wondering is dead-set on playing a rogue-y type.

Mostly I'm concerned that his usefulness will be diminished. Let's see who our third is going to be.

I will say that Flik sped up the group's progress and prevented them from triggering any traps. While in the other group they triggered a trap and didn't have nearly as high a perception score monkey.

He also prevented the wizard from doing any more damage with that net of his.

True, but nearly any class could match his base perception score, speed, and Trapbreaking scores with clever building. And nets and Elixirs of Vision are kind of fair game to anyone at this point.

I'm not convinced I won't use him. Like I said, let's see what concept our third teammate is interested in.

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

Well I am a witch with spell specialization in Hold Person. I also took trap finding and have invisibility and see invisibility at my disposal. On my belt is a wand of cure light, so if we do set off any traps, hopefully we can be topped off before any fight.

With two mages in the crew (one of them Disable Device capable), I'm bringing in a different contender. I'll try to have details up today.

Assuming you're okay with that, Jelani. If you'd prefer I stick with Flik for continuity, I can get him prepped.

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

My plan is to open with Hold person on whoever appears to have the worst Will save. Then follow it in the second round with another hold person. Of course, I will hopefully start off invisible.

No, you are free to create a new character. But he/she will only have base wealth. If you want to keep your rewards, you have to stick with Flik.

I'll try to have my build up this morning. Sorry for the delay.

As for opponents. We know about the rat and Jing. The third player is a wild card. Unless the third player is bringing something with similar combat explosiveness, Jimg needs to be our first priority (though he's gonna be tough). We should assume they've adapted to our builds from mast round. So Isaac, you should expect them to be packing some kind of cold defensive spells. It's what I'd do in their place. Splatter, be prepared, I think I know the gist of Jing's build, and on top of explosive offense, rock solid HP (backed up by False Life via a wand), and good AC, he should have really good saves.

I'm not really sure what to expect from the rat. He seems to be built for scouting, trap-breaking, and some survival stuff. Other than Magic Missile, I don't know what he's capable of on offense.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

this is eben with the new contender. Rorsk and his ape pet Kitty. The formatting isn't up to snuff, but ill be working on that. All the information should be there for review.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

Also, Jing had a nice trick last round. If you can afford it, each of you should pick up a wand of False Life with only a charge or two. I I had a way to get that on Rorsk and Kitty, I would. Same with Shield, but that's a far shorter duration so less useful.

A few charges of See Invisibility and glitterdust would be smart, too. :)
Flik was able to put that to good use last round.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

I'm thinking we move as a team. Rorsk and Kitty will lead, using killer Perception to seek out traps, foes, and threats. Both of you stay right behind them. Isaac, you keep Setect Magic running to pick up magical traps. Splatter, you be ready to step up and use that Didable Device on traps and doors as we run across them. We need to move quickly, stay behind your meat shields, and not get caught in traps.

Sound good?

Male Human Conjuerer 1

Sounds good.

Male Human Conjuerer 1

I'm unsure what to do with my last ~1000 gp. I could get a wand of glitterdust; I think it's better than see invisibility, since it's usable in other situations as well. Other than that, suggestions?

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

I'd actually suggest both. See Invisibly makes invisible folks apparent to you. glitterdust makes them apparent to your teammates (which can be critical to non-arcane teammates).

Otherwise, you could do a couple of things. You could always keep it. If you win/survive this round, an additional 1k gold could be nice for next round.

On the other hand, grabbing a few additional wands/scrolls to round out your magical toolbox is always nice. There are done great 'classic' spells: Fly, Haste, etc.

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

I have a potion of see invisible, and I have invisibility prepared. Also I am very good at hold person. I was planning to try to pick out the most likely lowest will guy and hit him first with hold person. Hopefully shutting him down. I have plenty of healing, so I can keep us topped off. my Disable device is +12 so I hope that is going to be enough.

We all good to go here?

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

Ok, I know own a wand of false life with 3 charges. I will hit us all. it would be good for 3 hours as the base is 3rd caster level.

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

I think we are good.

Male Human Conjuerer 1

I'm going to go with just a wand of glitterdust; Splatter can point out the area where invisible guys are, and then I can show them to Rorsk and Kitty. I think I'll hold onto the rest of my gold, so I'm ready once I add the wand.

Male Human Conjuerer 1

I have a false life wand of my own; I'll use it and save us a round.

This is all great. Keep in mind that Hold Person only works on Humanoids ... Tieflings are Outsiders (Native).

I really appreciate the offer, but False Life has a Target of "You" and range of "Personal", so I'm fairly certain you can't give that to anyone but yourself. :(

As ready as I'm likely to be. ;)

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

Good catch on the False life, didn't realize.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

Jelani, just a heads up. Since my goal with this whole set up is efficient team movement, any time the group is paused so Splatter can disable a trap or unlock a door, Rorsk will take that opportunity to put up one of his long-running buffs. I've put in a Buff sequence on Rorsk's page (in a spoiler titled "Buff sequence" towards the top).

Okay. I should be able to manage that. Just waiting on one more person to confirm readiness I think.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

Cool. When I see you post that Splatter has worked on a trap or door, I'll mention the buff activation, as well as update my "Status ... " section on the profile page.

Human | HP 30+7 Temp | AC 21 | TCH 12 | FF 19 | Per + 4| Init +8

Rorsk that is a great idea.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

Thanks. Just trying to find every advantage I can. :)

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

Anticipatory bump ;)

Sorry, busy couple days. I'll get this going when I can.

Take 10 Perception 29 (Darkvision 60; Blindsight 40)

No problem. Get to it when you can. Just making sure you weren't waiting on us or anything.
