Delayed over 24 hours getting home, still recovering, am hoping to get back to things tonight or tomorrow morning.

Wow, that's the worst I've ever seen. What airline was it, and what was the problem?

So, I was supposed to fly out of Indy at 7:40pm on Sunday night. Going through Dallas to San Francisco

Apparently there were thunderstorms in Dallas that closed the whole airport.

By the time I was able to get rescheduled, the best they could give me was 7pm Monday through LAX to SFO.

My flight to LAX was fine, except for a plane being at out gate so we had to wait on the tarmac for 35 minutes before finally getting towed into the gate.

By then my connecting flight was scheduled to have been boarding for a bit so as I'm running to catch that, I hear an announcement that it's been delayed 30 minutes.

Okay, so I can catch the flight, I get on it etc. After we're all on the captain annocunes due to fog in SFO they have a flkow program to prevent form getting overwhelmed and we have to sit here for 2 hours. Eventually we do that and I fly home.

Expected Arrival 11pm Sunday Night
Actual Apprival 1am Tuesday Morning

btw: it looks like I'm going to be in Portland for a few days around the 6th of September. I was wondering what sort of local gaming (possibly PFS) is going on. I've had trouble finding info via google.

What brings you to Portland? The outdoors? The brews? The doughnuts?

My wife's best friend from University in Cambridge England is going to be in Portland then for business but has the weekend free.

I'm actually not the VC in Portland anymore, Rob, but the group I started hosts a game every Friday night starting at 6 PM. The 6th is a Saturday, so I'm not sure of any games on that day.

Icon information. You get 4 points (max 3 in any icon) to assign to various icons. You can have a positive relationship with an icon, a conflicted relationship or a negative relationship. This helps determine your connection to the larger world, it's also a way of voting for who the good guys and bad guys are.

When I ask people to roll icon dice you get to roll a d6 for every relationship point. You want 6s. A 6 means you get some sort of advantage.
I want 5s. A 5 means you get some sort of advantage, but that it comes with some complications.

Also if I could get you to add defenses to your header, that would be great.

I am back in town, but my sister is in the hospital, I'm not sure when I'll be able to post next.

Just so you guys know, I'll be leaving this Friday and returning sometime Sunday (but possibly not getting to PbPs until Monday).

Thank you for the kind wishes. It may be several weeks (or more) till things are back to normal enough around here for me to keep up with pbps.

My sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer about 3 years ago and given a prognosis of likely less than a year. She's done remarkably well until this last week when she had to be hospitalized. We're not sure how long she has left, but I am doing what I can to help take care of our mother and her kids.

Yarrr, things have calmed down enough here to where I should be able to resume the pbps I'm playing in, but I don't think I can also handle running a game at the speed/quality I would like.

So I'm going to go ahead and call this game, I'm sure I'll run something weird in the future and I'll make sure to invite you all when I do.

Anybody who wants chronicle sheets for part 3 (level 8-10) please feel free to post your info here and I'll get one sent out to you shortly.
