Ma'Huuk ignores Nasir's offer, then barks a deep laugh at Rees as he returns his club to his waist.

"You do not want three massive, angry giraffes to attack us? This would not be cute?"

The big man scratches his head as he tries to remember their final statue-bearer. "Now to go find Saldin, no?"

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Just want to make sure before proceeding. Everybody is ok with ignoring Nasir's offer to take at least half the money?

Jani is good, and a worshipper of Sarenrae, but also a member of the Exchange, and business is business.

Let's go get that last statue! :)

"Justify it how you want," Ma'Huuk says as he heads towards their next destination.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

The scenario calls literally: "If PCs object to what amounts to robbing Nasir by emptying his strongbox, he thanks them profusely for dealing with Al-Sarif and offers them half the amount listed above. The total in parenthesis below is the total awarded PCs who don’t rob Nasir. That’s the price of honesty."
It hurts removing the half, I was not willing to take all the money without most party agreeing ;)

The party takes the half amount offered by Nasir and then leaves for the last statue.

The Secure Market is designed for people who don’t like surprises. Situated in the foundation of an ancient tower and surrounded by walls with no windows, it is accessible by one heavily-guarded, narrow entrance from the Central Market to the north.

K. local DC 12:

It’s a popular place to do business for those who take security to the level of fetish, and who can afford the stall license. Each license has to be visible on the stall whenever it is doing business, and even one license, transferable as they are, is worth a small fortune.

Once you arrive to the market entrance four guards receive you "Visitors may not bring weapons into the Secure Market. Wild animals and other dangerous pets are not well received neither." and they stop you at place.

Ma'Huuk scowls down at the guard, barely able to suppress an annoyed growl.

"Fine," he mutters, giving the man an array of crude, tribal weapons before patting Moto on the flank and grunting and pointing at s spot by the entrance. The big girl obeys.

Ma'Huuk shrugs at Eva's suggestion and slips her his dagger. Otherwise he seems ready to proceed inside.

Arthrax is perfectly fine accepting the coin for helping the shopkeeper. Rewards are encouraged, in his mind.

As the guards ask for their weapons, Arthrax bristles, clearly not ok with the situation. At Eva's suggestion, he hands her his pride and joy, his battle axe.

He then proceeds to offer the guards his other weapons and steps through.

Eva waits to see if anyone else drops their weapons off with her or the guards put forth any other demands before pretending to walk off. Once out of the line of sight of the guards, she casts Vanish on herself.

That is, assuming she thinks she can get safely on the other side without rousing suspicion in 3 rounds.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Just to place you into situation.
You are heading into a secure market. Just in the entrance you find a small door guarded by 4 guards, two at each side of the entrance. Two inside, two outside.
Slipping in a dagger with a Sleight of Hands check is ok.
Concealing a greataxe, it can be done, with long cloths and a penalty of -5 to the check.
Turning invisible or plainly using stealth to pass unnoticed, will not work also, unless you can also shrink to Tiny size, fly or something similar that allows you to pass through the guarded door without being noticed.
Even if you pass the door, expect more guards in the interior.
Expect the guards taking lots of time to check you after your weird behaviour.

"Oh, of course. Same as in the bath. Here, my scimitar, and the club, this pouch has my sling. Mimi is not dangerous or wild so she can come" Kiti chats while piling up her weapons near the entrance. She looks up wide-eyed at the angry guards when they comment about Mimi. "But she's so nice! All right, same as in bath, you guard that guard until I get back. Shield and armor is fine? I'll take my backpack, it might be of use. Look, there's nothing dangerous in here, only one kitty and it's a statue. Not at all dangerous. Except the fire! I'll add it to the pile. Now it's all safe", she continues, pushing her opened backpack to the nearest guard's face, taking quickly a flask of alchemist fire from the bag and throwing it with her other weapons. While the guard has to look at the bag, she's trying to peek inside the market. "What's there that it needs to be secure? Something that breaks? I hope it's not anything dangerous as you just took all our dangerous-dealing stuff away? Can I go now?, she blurts a load of questions at the guard, and tries to follow Eva past the guards.

As you follow the rules the guards gently let you pass into the market, firstly checking carefully those of you wearing lengthy cloths but finding nothing.

The interior is full of all types of shops, from food to furniture. It results quite easy to find Marafi's shop. Two guards stand in front of his tent but let you go in without much interest.

Marafi hails you in a friendly manner and asks "Good afternoon! What I can help you with?"

It was stolen, so it will be hard to deal in Osirion if you keep it, and easy if you return, Kiti tries to help Eva again, complementing her words with lively hand movements.

Another idiot more interested in keeping what's not his than listening to reason. It's too much, and the merchant's threatening words are just the excuse Ma'Huuk needs.

Ma'Huuk reacts a blink quicker than the bodyguard, letting the animal fury he keeps barely locked away run wild as he rushes the man to take his weapon before it can be used on Ma'Huuk's teammates.

Move to the guard, rage, and disarm him of his blade (and keeping it in-hand, if the attempt is successful).

Reesa, the guards seem to be all around and among us... I don't think you'll get a location for a sleep spell that will hit the guards and not hit PCs. You could get the red guard and Marafi, though.

Jani focuses their will on Marafi, weakening his mind and body to their spells, as that same eldritch laugh comes out of them again. Evil Eye, against saves, -2 for 8 rounds or 1 if saves Vs. Will DC 16, followed by a cackle to extend it by 1 round.

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Will Marafi DC 16: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (16) - 1 = 15
Jani's bad eye seems to take effect on Marafi's resistance. The witch cackles making the bad eye even longer.

Reesa starts casting a spell as Eva tries to decide what to better do next depending on whom is defending Marafi.

Marafi draws a rapier and tries to stab it at Arthrax.
Rappier: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
P damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Ma'Huuk then graps the yellow guard quarterstaff before he is able to react and hit him on the opportunity. The barbarian is able to keep the quarterstaff strongly at hand.

Red cloathed guard tries to hit Kiti with his quarterstaff hitting only the counter.
Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
B damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Blue attacks Jani with the quarterstaff but the tiefling easily dodges the strike.
Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
B damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Yellow one tries to grab Ma'Huuk giving him an opportunity to attack him.
Grab: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 If you hit, add the damage to your CMD to see if he grabs you

Reesa, please, set the red template on where the sleep takes effect.
Eva, you can take the action you did not do. I would prefer though if next time you include two actions depending on the result of your question ;)

Marafi: -2 saves (r3)

Iron Gods: Iron maps;

Ma'Huuk knocks one of the bodyguards with the quarterstaff as he tries to grab him. He then smashes the other knocking it unconscious too.

Reesa ends her spell with some rose petals and Marafi drops to the floor snoozing.

The last guard says "Argh! I new we should have not trusted that noob! How he let his weapon to be taken!?" he looks at the party without willingness to surrender "For Marafi and his honor!" he shouts wile readying his quarterstaff to continue fighting.

I knew you will deal good with the business. In order to show you my respects I invite you to dine at my inn "The Fine Cracker".
There will be good wine and delightful talk,

Yasmin, the Venture-Captain is glad to see you back "This is great! You recovered all the 4 statues in such an astonishing little time. Was Chaim difficult to find?
